Jamey makes some valid points, but (at least in my opinion) the main reason Sonic has so much trouble with Amy is because she's trying chain the wind. Sonic desires freedom above (nearly) all else. Amy wants to make Sonic her own. The wind belongs to nobody, and like the wind, Sonic will let no one own him. The harder she tries, the more forceful she gets, the more she'll drive him away. Sonic was named the Knight of the Wind for a reason: he has no master but the wind at his back. Once Amy understands that, stops trying to possess him, to control him, to own him... THAT'S when his own feelings for her will bloom.

Honestly, Sonic talking to the male version of Amy is a cool idea since Amy and he is the same so he can tell sonic how he feels first hand in those situations. This can allow Sonic to understand how to treat the situation for the future. Now all that is left is the female version of Sonic to talk to Amy about how she feels since it's clear they will hear the gender-bent version of themself more.

You and Amy are strong caring leaders, just look at your bravery in IDW #2. You suppressed the urge to go with your loved ones to fight for and help others that need you. Your personality should not be defined by your love for Sonic/Sonica (depending on which it applies to).
Sonic and Sonica, be kinder to Amy/Jamey. They are one of you best friends. They love and care for you, think about how they feel, they feel pain from loving you two. You think of them as friends. Then *DON’T* just show it by rescuing them. Spend time with them along with everyone else. Show them you care or they just might leave. Hell Boom Sonic/Sonica is a better friends and he/she actually likes Amy/Jamey, which usually makes people meaner to the person you like sometimes.
And what about sonic/sonica hm? Amy/Jamey chase them with their hammer every time something doesn't go their way and put others down when they're just being honest. In any case they both need to be put in their place and stop being selfish. Before any of you fanbrats come at me, I'll say what I want and when I want. That being said Amy/jamey are selfish and they don't deserve people like sonic or sonica

It isn't. The DNA of a gender bent version of yourself and well yourself are almost identical. Meaning if they had sex it would be essentially incest. Incest results in deformities in the child. So no. Absolutely not moral.
