I think the birth canal thing is wrong. Yes, we have a smaller brain for that reason, but that is because we are infants. If it was really so beneficial, we would still be able to squeeze out with an undeveloped small brain and grow a much larger one. I think the biggest reason is because having a head that cumbersome would get in the way.
Strange she didn't catch her error in describing the Parasympathetic System as the Orthosympathetic and vice-versa, not just once , but repeatedly. She is so cute one has no desire to critisize, however those poor kids on the mid-term must have been confused...
How dose one get to NYU not knowing what cranial is , I guess if the instructor can’t differentiate between para sympathetic and the Sympathetic, they deserve each other .
This is an excellent visual representation and description particularly point form ,brilliant lecturer.
Thank you …Sympathetic and parasympathetic…. Is the other way around…
I think she mixed up the parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous systems

28:42 The diagram does not seem to have any of the text that she is talking about. I’m assuming it’s the wrong diagram.
She mixed the sympathetic and parasympathetic descriptions, just a warning...
She fixes it in the next lecture

1:05:00 “ when we were Neanderthals“ - I think she’s referring to the 5% of the genome of Europeans.
We were never neanderthals. She probably didn't think much about it when she said it.
Very informative. Thank you.
