Wow how amazing..old machinery in german ,England's .experts in the world..thanks from sri lanka...
this is a great video of how it was done 80 years or more ago.. thanks for the GREAT VIDEO.. I love it....thumbs up.
Probably closer to about 100 years ago. Early 1900s John Deere was just getting into tractors.
Ratkill9000
yes I agree. that is why I said 80+ years ago... ya 100 years ago I should have said. but I think the 80+ years ago covered that... thanks for the reply :-)

Amazing old machinery in action, brilliant, thank you!!
Very Cool Machine! And this was a massive improvement in its day!
You capture engines and machinery wery well. Keep up the good work!
Klasse Video!

In 1941 I was evacuated from London to the countryside when our countries were in conflict. I was taken along to the harvest where a traction engine and threshing machine was used. I was sun burned, ate cheese and bread for lunch and a sneaky swig of home made cider. What memories. I love the video

I do like watching your videos. Coming from a family of farmers I still fondly remember as a kid going to numerous steam and antique tractor shows. But, it's really the sounds always take me back and what I appreciate the most. Your videos capture the imagery very well and are amoungst the best a recording the soundscape. In listening I can recall the not just the sounds but the smells of diesel, belt dressing, the scent of fresh straw.... the itch of the wheat chaff on the back of my neck. The cool feel of the wheat in the bin and how it tasted... Thanks for providing the touchstone back to past memories.
Thank you so much. 😎

100% unbelievable
As a boy on a rural farm in New York State in the 1950s, I remember using the now antique threshing machines. Never seen a tractor like this one, thresher pretty much the same however the baler at the exit is completely new to me, never seen the like of it. Enjoyed the video! Thanks.

Thanks a lot. My mother was evacuated to the countryside too. She must work on the harvest all from hand.
Thanks God that this time is over!
Hele sterke motor in deze oude tractor. Lanz Bullding tractor! Super mooie film.
Awesome Threshing with Lanz Bulldog Tractor - Impressive Start and Run!
So beautifull those old machines, can watch this the whole evening, thank you.
This is some crazy looking steampunk stuff... and one of the coolest things I've seen 😐❤❤❤
German engineering at its best.So cool!

Once had the luck to stand next to one, you can actually feel it running when you stand next to it.
@@miansahb6169 ññ,
It's So mechanical and primitive amazing engineering for the time I wish things today were simple like this
Really enjoy your videos. Great high quality! Thank you!
The famous "Heat Head Engine". It is beautifull. Not dificult. Not electricity. You must work, of course but time ago, the things were more simplified.
I mean modern machinery are much more efficient, when they work but it feels like they aren’t made to last the load and punishment they’ll endure on a farm
beautiful video great gear with expert operators loved it.

Wow, thanks to you, I enjoyed watching... I'm proud of you for developing day by day.

Einfach nur faszinierend diese alten Dreschmaschinen! Ein sehr gelungenes Video, vielen Dank dafür! Gruß aus dem Schwabenland

That setup looks like a really useful Rube Goldberg machine 😀😀

how does the clutch on the drive flywheel work? is it a material plate like cars of today?
Runs forever!!...very nice video...
so nice to see those things from the past and it still works
wi1yyu8
From what little I've learned watching these, it's heating up the 'hot bulb' which apparently then ignites the mixture during the compression stroke, kind of like a model glow/nitro engine's glow plug. Once the engine is running, the 'hot bulb' is kept at temperature from the engine's own combustion.

Very nice video that was well done. Loved the Bulldog and the thrasher. Have never have seen a bailer on the back of the thrasher though. Very nice!!!
amazing stuff for its time!
Dafoq if there it is something to dislike!! What else you want mateys??? I think it's gorgeous so guy to see all these things in action!!
omfg I love how all those old engines sound and work!
Back in the days when everything was simple enough and could work for 100s years. To fix it you had to have basic tools. Now in modern cars even changing bulb in headlights taking hours 😅
Haha my moms Subaru requires taking the wheeles off to get to the low beam bulb
@@framelawncare6671 in next model you will have to take out whole engine🤣
@@RetroGamerzzzMUSIC dont challenge them they just might do it
Took two men you get a belt on. Sure
there will always be brands that do. Survivor bias, we dont see all the poor tractors that broke got a bad reputation and were just lost to history. the ones that survive though wow they are beauties
That’s cool, lots of big old fat burgermisters running around getting things going and reliving their childhoods! Fantastic to see this old machinery preserved and still running, someone is taking good care of it!

fantastic to see these brilliant machines that are so inportant for the advancement of agriculture and its machinery and the revalution of the engineering of machinery we see in our modern world

Wunderbar anzusehen
I remember when my dad had a "dorsmachinebedrijf" in the late 40's and during the 50's in Brabant (Southern Netherlands), with several tractors, one of which was a Lanz Bulldog.... I remember the same starting procedure using the preheating and removing the steering wheel to rotate the engine.. Great memories !!!
Can you give me a one.....please..
From sri lanka..
This machine will do its work in 100 years and even longer ... our modern machines will have crumbled to rust then
wusel not really.. new machines are from plastic 😞

Excellent, great video. 10 out of 10. I have never seen a Lanz Bulldog crawler. Best wishes from Australia.
J'adore vraiment jolie tracteur 👍
Excellent video 👍🏻
Hehe, this way "fire in the hole" has a totally different meaning, but it still applies well
Thanks, its not so easy to start a Lanz.
Look out for a Pampa. Under this name the Lanz Bulldog was build in Brazil, with a little bit luck you can see one of this in the U.S.

Lol. To be fair, this one will always be the same procedure, whether the dead of winter or a hot summer day. With a conventional diesel, starting in the dead of winter can be much more work...
@@TheMetalButcher best thing is, while this here hotbulb (like every hotbulb engine) doesn't have too good of a fuel efficiency, you could run it on even simple oils.
