@Qbendanny Thank you, my dear friend, for YOUR PRECIOUS COMMENTS! This is so great you saw him live and can share your unique impressions with us! Bless you!
He was always a wanderer, never to settle down actually. That was his nature and maybe that was his destiny. Still I don't agree about niche. Actually he found two - ballet and conema. He was great in both and he was happy to do what he loved to. That's a great luck and happiness. Not every person can boast he (she) does what he (she) likes, so many people just hate their jobs but can't do anything to change that. He had a luxury to do what he wanted to and not to do what he didn't want to.
I them at ABT do this. Fabulous. Gregory was dazzling and Sasha was elegance and grandeur personified. Poor Sasha, never found his niche here and died too soon.
Oh, this was a clip from "Godunov: The World To Dance In." Damn it, I'm so relieved for the likes of the internet. This way, Godunov gets some of the remembrance he did back in his salad days. Gone, but not totally forgotten... God, these two are hypnotic here... Pure magic. Absolute angel dust... The stuff immortalized pas de deux partnerships are simply made of. One of the best ever to come out of Russia... along with America's "Prima Ballerina Absolutta"... Which ballerina did Godunov do his absolute greatest with? Gregory? Makarova? Plisetskaya? Jackie Bisset? You personally be the judge...
Sorry! What are you all talking about?Of course Godunov deserved the best female partners like Plisetskaya,Bessmertnova...But sometimes he had them -Evdokimova,Makarova.If you're a star yourself you need dance with STARS!!
He always, thousand times, said quite the opposite - that he feels good, never regreted what he did and if once again he'd do THE SAME. He said that in his interviews and in this movie. Don't think you know better that himself what he felt.
Cynthia Gregory was one of those ballerinas that was just a little... bigger. Like Maria Tallchief and Marine Van Hammel, she wasn't so "petite." She was a big girl. And that kinda worked. Something about breaking the definition of the "little pixies" of ballet. She almost stood eye-to-eye with this hulk Adonis. The two are both towering, both passionate. And I think Cynthia moved like a danseur herself. Something kinda "liberal" about all that, isn't there? --For The Two of Them, Dane Youssef
If there is ANY PROHIBITION AGAINST ALCOHOL it should be in the tremendous waste of the death of this superb artist. What a waste, waste waste waste waste.

... and the latter maybe even more important that the former.
That's right, maybe. Sizova is petit, Gregory is a tall stylish gal> they are too different to compare.
The people here actually discuss who's the best Medora.

Cynthia Harvey, or Cynthia Gregory?
