Right now I’m going through a tough time in my life. Everyday I listen and take these Ls as lessons but it’s gets dark when ion have no one to talk to. So I look back at my life and notice with the stuff I’ve been through, I should be grateful. But with that doesn’t mean I can go through anything without support. As of today this video has given me so much hope. But I gotta keep going.
I can't afford to stop even for a day. For my family, for myself... I keep running for the day ahead

Thank you ... I almost let it all go once but came back ...
I used to leap frog from safe space to safe place just to make it daily after my surprise divorce. I literally couldn't do anything except just breathe as I contemplated if I could make it sitting on the edge of my bed. Just sitting in a hotel room alone wondering if I had the strength to continue. The overwhelming feeling of failure, despair and who I thought was the love of my life saying I need to just go away now without any reason or closure was way too much at once for my mind to understand. I'd think of ways to gracefully leave the world as the pain was so drastically impacting I couldn't see any way through.
After days in a hotel lost, dead inside and literally a ghost I decided to say fuck it and drive out to a state park to just walk until I got lost and didn't know what I'd do for sure. Maybe jump? Maybe just walk too far where the elements would due me in time.
Hours into this hike I went up an incline that felt like itd be over soon. My mind was just fleeting memories of good and bad memories with pictures of what i lost. I came to a cliff where i looked over and thought .... this is it. I can die finally and end this pain. I got closer and realized id become just another statistic or a sad story of what divorce can do to a 44 year old man who put his life into it and had it discarded like trash. Twice I built up the courage to just run and leap. Twice i started and stopped myself ... "Tap .. tap tap ... Tap " I got distracted by this odd sound. This tapping suddenly had filled my empty mind ready to leave with a purpose to know what it was...
I followed the tapping until i came to a clearing where it made me stop. In the clearing was a beam of light off a log covered with moss and perched on one of the branches were discarded antlers tapping on the log. Tap..tap tap... tap. It drew me in and off the path I was going to get a closer look. In that exact moment as I brushed aside each of the tall grass completely oblivious to the mud I was sinking into each footstep something occurred to me that saved my life ... I was feeling again. I had to get to that spot because I was overcome by the sight, the sounds and the journey there. Than once I got there I cried and cried. NOT because I was sad and feeling lost in despair... but because I knew something greater than myself led me there to that exact spot. I felt. I was now determined to say not today. Not me. No one but me chooses how I feel about me and value myself. I went from suicidal to renewed in one moment in such an unlikely circumstance.
"Tap tap ... tap tap tap" ... I left the antlers there. I thanked whatever caused this in me and I believed again. I turned around. And I started thinking about all the people that loved me and what I never told them but always wanted. A stop to make. Stops. I started thinking about pursuing what others said I couldn't do. Another stop. Another purpose. I realized I have so much love and empathy for others and in this age and time it's so necessary. Another stop. Endless because everyday is a chance to share this. I walked out of that forest dirty, covered in mud, looking like hell with onlookers in the parking lot stopping to stare at me like 'does he need help?' .... I was smiling man. They had no idea that I was quite the opposite.
So yea ... a journey into the unknown expecting the end can be just the exact steps you need to understand why you're here. Every day is another version of that journey in smaller or bigger ways. People need whoever you are as who you are for help and everyday is an opportunity to help them. It's never the end. There are always ways. Don't give up. I'm happy now and actually in a better place than when I was in auto pilot married.
Wow.... Well that brought tears to my eyes. I'm glad you found a new purpose in life. You were meant to be there at that moment. Your journey towards life has just begun..... onwards and upwards my friend. Thank-you for sharing this amazing experience that will help others not to give up.
