Let me see if I have this straight. Merch comes in. Negotiation happens. No agreement is reached so they leave. Guy in black offers their asking price. They sell, transaction over. Other than him hearing what they had and their ask I don't think he did anything wrong. Now if you had agreed on price and he swooped in offering more and they took it..then yes.
Moved out of the LA area about two years ago - your videos bring me a slice of life from back home- thanks for posting. You're a good teacher - fair and honest.
Couldn’t resist the temptation. Especially tempting when you are in a lowball pawnshop ad they are literally offering 10 cents on the dollar…but most of us have respect
You were 100% right in trespassing that douche bag. Once he entered your domain.. all business is your business. Lol..I was cussing up and down. Love you show
That used to happen when I had a car lot, I'd be negotiating a trade in price, someone would over hear and say oh I'll give you this or that right now for it, and they'd go do the deal. I told both parties they were no longer welcome. They said no problem. Months later sure enough one walked in wanting to purchase a vehicle. Sorry, not going to happen. People are something else.
Cool channel, bro! As an ex-heroin addict(been clean 6 years), I did lots of business at local pawn shops. I was always interested, in the business aspect, and how they actually operated... I really dig how you explain what you are doing, and why. It adds a really cool educational bit to your content, that sets it apart from other channels in this genre, in my opinion. Great job, man! I love it, and congratulations on the 10k. I'm sure that number will continue rising fast!
Fender and other guitar companies all outsource where their cases are made. Some are made in Costa Rica some are made in Canada some made in China Among other places so their. Quality varies.
Love the guy with the Canon lens, genuine guy! A very good lens but as you say first edition is very old and prices have dropped a lot unless its modern new lenses
Thanks a lot...LOL. I think it had something to do when working on both PC and Mac. Just sticking with Apple for all the edits. Thanks for the feedback. I read them all good or bad....
Very good call giving that lady $15, it helps the economy and also, she would have went to the next pawn shop and kept going until someone said yes to $5
More videos please, Gary. How about doing one, going through your interesting items and telling us the story behind it. Your descriptions of what to look for between fake and real are always interesting.
the guy stealing business doesn't deserve to be in your shop and I wouldn't do business with him again, why would someone buy a legit tele caster and then sell the case for 25 dollars, doesn't make any sense to me, why not keep the original set together, maybe it is not a real fender case, either way great video, thanks.
What a BUM in there stealing your client!! It was nice of you to help that lady out on those poles. I know you really didn't want them. Great content as always. Can't wait for the next one!
I'm 100% in the car with you on that one man those two chumps needed to aggravate the gravel, that means kick rocks, what they did was disrespectful, older gentleman with the lenses was very cool. he knew you were savvy and appreciated your wisdom,
Hey man! I've been in the music buying industry for awhile now and have experience in anything from pro audio, to guitars, amps, etc. Happy to help you out anytime.
I think once you passed on the purchase, it was fair game although the dude in black should have waited outside until the customer walked outside before approaching him. And while I think he was just getting the last word in to jab you, he originally did come in to possibly buy something.
I appreciate your perspective, but even waiting outside to approach our customers isn't fair game-that's still soliciting. It's essential to respect our business space and the trust we've built with our clients. Imagine if you were the business owner and someone set up a tent outside your store, where you pay rent and overhead, and did the same to your clients. What if they approached all your customers right outside the door and offered to buy goods before they even entered your shop? It wouldn't be fair or respectful to your business. While the individual might have had genuine intentions initially, maintaining a professional and courteous environment is crucial for everyone involved.
I've asked brokers before I could go make offers on something that they PASSED on but never just followed someone out after a failed negotiation and scalped lol
I agree you low balled that person. I think you were in your feelings. People come to you because they need money so you get mad because you under value his product.

5:34 I think your intuition was right on that one. I'm learning a lot from your interactions with people.

You said it perfectly. Not sure why so many people don’t understand what’s wrong with his actions.
Ok I'm subscribing I love the honesty you have when conducting business plus your content is entertaining ty
What up Gary? Glad the channel is growing, happy for you Dude
I’m learning a lot of useful customer service skills from you and what to say without offending my customers. Thank you for the good work👍
True character shows how someone will treat others. Most definitely don't do business with someone that just took business from u.
Fairest pawn guy on TH-cam!!!
I appreciate how you establish a rapport with your customers

Not the kind of friend you want anywhere near your daughter nor your girlfriend/wife.
You handled the situation perfectly 👍

Greetings from Philippines. Like you channel. Great stuff.
Awesome, thank you!
❤❤ love the video
Case is Fender _Mexico_ definitely a tele style... broken latch. Still a good deal.
Very good call giving that lady $15, it helps the economy and also, she would have went to the next pawn shop and kept going until someone said yes to $5
That's a Fender case. Fender Mexico most likely.
100% on your side.
I agree with you 💯
Great video! How much is the blue flying V? Who is it signed by?
Congrats on the 10k subscribers , and the dude in black was shady as soon as he walked in your store. Another good video
I think the guitar case was a bad deal, if you look at the inside shape it's made for some kind of square guitar, good luck finding that.
Morning Gary please thank your dad for being such a great camera man today
More videos please, Gary. How about doing one, going through your interesting items and telling us the story behind it. Your descriptions of what to look for between fake and real are always interesting.
Good video thanks for sharing ❤

I bought the same Fender tweed case from Musicians Friend on a daily deal for $40
Can't believe that dude just took those guys outside right in front of your shop. This was a good mix of transactions. Really interesting
Couldn't agree more!
I wish I lived close enough to buy those fishing poles lol good video have great day
Love the channel
Good video!!
What are those red things in bowl by the checkout?
Custom Matches with our logo. Getting new ones made soon with the TH-cam logo.
That is straight up wild that that dude walked in and stole your client. Karma is coming
What a BUM in there stealing your client!! It was nice of you to help that lady out on those poles. I know you really didn't want them. Great content as always. Can't wait for the next one!
my man you deal with alot of different types of folks do they steal or just go through and find these items great video thank you
keep up the Great Content brother 🥁
Thanks! Will do!
Your shop, your right to allow who you want.... but I also enjoy seeing them cut out the middle man. Not a competitive enough offer boss.
Ya. You do that in your own shop not someone else's. It's asking for an ass kicking
I'm 100% in the car with you on that one man those two chumps needed to aggravate the gravel, that means kick rocks, what they did was disrespectful, older gentleman with the lenses was very cool. he knew you were savvy and appreciated your wisdom,
congrats on 10K
keep flexing those Rolex's bro. Great show. 👍👍
great video! Cannon
I think you did the right thing refusing to do any business with that guy 👍
You might check the laws. In Colorado where I was a pawnbroker, it was illegal to try and conduct business with one of my customers.
Hey man! I've been in the music buying industry for awhile now and have experience in anything from pro audio, to guitars, amps, etc. Happy to help you out anytime.
Also noone likes a deal sniper.
That case was a guitar center case. Sold for 119. Actual cost for Guitar Center was $30. I used to work there
Keep up
The great work

I agree you low balled that person. I think you were in your feelings. People come to you because they need money so you get mad because you under value his product.
I can’t believe that guy came back in . Glad you got rid of him quick style.

Thanks. Simi Valley, Ca

Sir. I admired the way you handled yourself by upholding your principles. Well done.
You were 100% right. I would have asked him to leave the second he set foot in the store again.
