The same day I quit my job, I went straight to the craft store and searched up a tutorial on how to learn & I made a shirt on my first day. Ever since then I have been in love with crocheting. It calms my chaotic brain and it reminds me of the time when I started standing up for myself and I left an abusive job situation. Now I work as an aide for special ed kids in public schools-a job rewarding in many ways but not in pay. I haven’t had money to spare on yarn in the past few months. Paycheck to paycheck goes to rent & the bills. Thank you for helping start an obsession with a craft that has helped me so much. If I were to win either lot I would be forever grateful 💗🖤

I have a few pieces of advice to make crochet more enjoyable and increase your motivation too! - i don't focus on the end product, i like to focus on the actual making of the project and enjoy the time I spend on it, really trying to savor the actual creation of the project - Once you start a project, don't let yourself start another one until you're done!! - Bring your crochet places with you!! I took a project of mine on a 5 day trip and finished it purely out of the time on the bus, and free time at the hotel!! Along with many projects i've done during school class periods!! - Make sure you really like what you're making, and the type of yarn you're using. I've felt discouraged from finishing projects because i used a yarn i ended up not liking the texture of - Listen to podcasts, tv shows, movies, music, rain sounds, asmr, or really anything you like while crocheting! I hope this helps💕💕
