Shoutout to user @blanca5483 for the request! I have never even heard of UKISS before this video so this is another first for me! Normally I pick one or maybe two favorites with these type of first time exposures to a group and this one was similar; however, I would say for this group, I loved the discography even more than any one or two members' talents. They shine so well together :)

For those that don't know, the antics in the middle of 0330 is a tribute to a concert where the venue royally messed up their music, requiring them to jump into the middle of a song on live camera. Well practiced, they crushed the mishap like the professionals they are! Iconic UKISS moment. 🥰

Great video, love the reaction!!! I’m a newer ukiss fan so it’s nice to see others discovering their work even 16 years later after their debut! Their 2023 album “PlayList” is absolutely amazing, they also released a killing dance video during this era and actually just finished their recent comeback with their newest album “Let’s Get Started” with “Stay with me” as their title track. And they also came out with a 2024 version of Man Man Ha Ni (the first song in this video) and it’d be pretty cool if you checked it out ❤️

Maybe you don't know, but he's wearing a darkblue jacket and is the second one from the left. His name is AJ. AJ has composed many songs for ukiss.

Thanks for reacting to UKISS! The 1st left guy (Eli) is Korean-American. And thr 2nd from the left is AJ. When he was active in the group he took some year off to study in Columbia University. I remember New York Post made article about him as Korean Hannah Montana as student by day and celebrity by night lol He composed some UKISS songs which is so bop.

Ukiss went through many member decreases and some changes. At their lowest point they were two members. The special thing is: the current lineup is made up of former members. Kiseop and Eli returned, Xander, who was kicked out a long, long time ago came back and even AJ who kinda left with a scandal saying he was unhappy with how the group treated him, came back for a 15 year anniversary release (the great escape in this medley). So Soohyun, main vocal and leader, pulled this together for us fans. He reached out to other missing members, too, but one didn't react and the other three sadly couldn't make it. The amazing part is that aside from AJ, who is working solo now, the returning member stayed and UKISS is 5 members now ❤ They just released their new album Let's ger started, please check it out if you liked this their vocals! It also includes a remake of Man Man Ha Ni. ❤
The dear mom song is written by Kiseop (red haired guy) for his (and UKISS') moms 💕 I think Kiseop knows exactly what UKISS needs, so he always writes the perfect songs for them (FLY, a Japanese release of them, is one of my favorites written by him).
Xander (the guy on the very right) is actually the oldest of the groupy not the maknae 😂 But I appreciate your assessment, because he really is the cutest, most bubbly and could very well be the youngest ❤ The youngest is Hoon, Mr smooth voice right next to Xander :) Xander didn't work as an idol since they kicked him around 2010 (? I'm bad with numbers...it was after Shut up/shikkeuro was released), so he's working really hard to catch up with the others and doing amazing ❤❤❤
Someday is actually a song about giving your all and that some days just aren't your day snd you feel like everything is pointless, but you shouldn't give up, since someday it wull be your time and your hard work will pay off 😢 It's really emotional, since at that time UKISS were fighting to survive in the industry so hard and never got any wins, so that song hit hard back then as well as now after everything we went through together. I'm so glad the song delivers it's meaning even without understanding lyrics ❤
Funny enough, their performed songs are the most famous, I think, but without any of their Japanese releases, where they also released SO many good songs. Standing Still is Soohyun personal fav song. And of course three of their - at that time - newest songs were included.
ANYWAYS, I am so happy you enjoyed their songs. Their live vocals really are amazing at all times and I loved seeing someone confirm my fangirl thoughts 🎉

Wow, some of these older groups have been through so much change and hardship. I've reacted to some Super Junior recently for the first time and heard similar stories about them. Crazy! These groups are really fortunate to have such dedicated fans like you :D
LMAO got me with the ole fake maknae. In that way he's like Yujin from Kep1er or Nayeon from Twice lol. Oldest member acting like they could be the youngest...love it!
That's really cool to know about Someday and a beautiful message. They're really talented to be able to convey that emotion even across the barrier of language...that's so amazing. I always say that the way you can determine is truly art is if it makes you feel something...anger, happiness, sorrow, etc. The fact that this song can make us feel something even without understanding it places it amongst true art.

U-KISS!! I (also) don’t know much about them but I really enjoy listening to some of their songs (especially “Stop Girl”, a shame they didn’t perform it 😔)! As far as I know those are not the full/original members of the group, they went through lineup changes since some current members were added after their debut and others left the group a while ago.
In case you didn’t notice yet since you’ve watched a good handful of Killing Voice videos by now, usually the invitees start their setlist with either their debut song (like Infinite, Seventeen, Red Velvet) or one of their most famous songs/a song that would make people think “Oh yeah, that’s from them!” (like BTOB, EXO and U-KISS in this case).
Also, all the KV invitees usually are people who are still active in the industry and have a reputation/lengthy career backing them (not just K-Pop groups/soloists btw, but also K-band singers, non K-Pop artists or non Korean ones)! Nowadays groups from the 2nd generation have been coming back one after the other (for the world’s peace 🙏) so you see a lot of them on KV such as Infinite, Teen Top, KARA, etc. (and some others who have been more consistently active besides a couple of years of hiatus like U-KISS, BTOB, Highlight (formerly BEAST), 2AM, TVXQ, B1A4, EXID, Apink…)
About your question on “Dear. Mom”, the song is pretty much a love letter to their moms! Very wholesome track tbh!
I really liked this group's songs. They were catchy but impactful. And yea, after I made the video I did see that there's some who left but I didn't know they added. That's interesting...I wonder what would happen these days if a group like, I dunno let's say Twice, had a couple leave. Would they disband or would they continue as a smaller group? Bring in new members? I don't want to find out but it would be interesting.
I actually didn't notice that about the debut songs since most of these groups have been new to me and/or I didn't know their debut songs 😂 thanks for the heads up! It makes total sense although I kinda would have expected them to remove the synthetic voice in the opening for KV but who cares...it was still great lol. It's funny you mention some of those other groups since obviously I've done some of them but there's more in the request queue 😉
Aww that's sweet. I knew it was right to be emotional lol. I don't tell her in many sweet ways but I love my mom and she's always been my biggest supporter.
