    awareness of identitylessness I used to think it was the deepest and most difficult thing to understand. But you explained it in a way that I could easily understand. Even though there were some moments where I was so confused that I had to rewind the video back and forth many times. It really is the greatest example. Thank you for your generosity in sharing such difficult content with us. It's really awesome.

    Corbin - your facial expressions as you grapple with explaining all this - putting into words our felt experience vs our intellectual understanding - is comforting - as I read Kastrup’s books I couldn’t quite grasp what he was getting at until now - I started my ‘formal’ spiritual journey with Kastrup and have come full circle back to him through you. I needed to tie up that loose end - that nagging misunderstanding or inability to grasp what you have now explained beautifully. Thank you!

    I don't understand everything in this video, but the consciousness-as-moon-reflection did help me breakthrough a blockage.
    I had two "experiences" today that I can only describe as pure awareness. I was meditating, eyes closed on a bench at the zoo with strangers around. At some point my mind intruded upon this amazing sense that I was just the stage upon which all the sounds around "me" were unfolding; there was just awareness. It happened again later as I considered the moon analogy while sitting alone on a restaurant patio around a lot of traffic with eyes open. Again, it was as if I was the space in which everything was unfolding. The addition of visual sensations - I cant even describe.
    It seems contemplation or meditation with external stimulus can be more effective for me than meditation in silence with eyes closed.
    Thank you.

      So glad this was helpful, thank you for this comment and for conveying that experience, it is profoundly liberating to shift into the position where you can meditate in the presence of ordinarily 'busy' external stimulus :)

    I never truly understood analytic idealism until now and I’ve read ALL of Bernardo Kastrup’s books and watched his interviews and took his ‘course’ so this understanding in itself is an accomplishment! Thank you, Corbin.

    Thank you so much for this thought-provoking explanation of what simply is! ✨ Your insights into the illusion of "being" the body are profound and truly resonate. The deeper exploration of consciousness and the shift in perspective you discuss feel incredibly liberating. This is the kind of wisdom that invites us to question our most fundamental beliefs and open the door to higher understanding. 🌿🧘‍♂ Grateful for your dedication to sharing such transformative knowledge openly and selflessly, and a huge thank you to spirit for guiding me to your channel! 💫 ~Namasté 🙏

    The pleasure and pain cycle that the ego thought system “made up “ is our addiction to distraction .. thoughts are carrots on a stick . We keep chasing the thought of protecting the body by identifying with it as if it IS our home .
    Once you know it’s not, GAME OVER
    Wow thanks for describing this experience so well .
    Keeping in the present now as awareness is BLISS ❤🙏 thanks for intensifying my experience by validating what I know to be true 🎉

    You did a great job at describing it. That is a lot to absorb. I think where I get tripped up is the point of it all. I'm at a place in my life where nothing quite feels real or meaningful. It's just a world of people doing random shit for no reason. It seems like everything is "fake" somehow. It's very isolating and lonely for me because no one I know thinks or feels the way I do.

      @MK7of7of7of7 I know you are right. If I could meet just one person who truly understood me it would be so comforting. I've always felt different my whole life and before my random spiritual awakening I just played the game and fit in the best i could. Thanks for responding!

    • @corinbryant
      @corinbryant  หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      I know EXACTLY how you feel. Many people who found the spiritual path in life speak of always feeling 'different' and that something was just 'off' even from a young age - I believe it's the early signs of natural intuition glimmering that something is fundamentally wrong with the general way people have organised themselves and this can manifest in social isolation or never truly 'fitting in', this nags away at the back of the mind until you're finally in a position to explore it fully.
      As for the current loneliness, you will find there are many people who feel similar to you and they will begin to appear in your life when you begin to 'see' people through the lens of your new understanding - The old 'less conscious' people in life just disappear into the background and you find that there were far healthier and more understanding people around it's just that previously they slipped by unnoticed when you weren't in a position to see them. Truly live the awakening in your daily life and your loneliness will be over. Soon the 'meaning' and 'point' becomes clear also, and it's a real knee-slapper when you get that one!

      @corinbryant Thank you for responding!! Some days the waves of loneliness, etc.. hit a little harder. I have always persevered through it all (I'm a Capricorn 😅😅).

      Best way to feel less alone is by not identifying with the fact nobody thinks like you. But by identifying with the fact nobody thinks the same as anyone, yet everyone is able to relate or not relate. Understand what I mean and you'll never feel alone due to your thoughts.

    I love the videos that turn up the so called spotlight on consciousness. When you turn upnthat spotlight it changes everything. Your videos have ended my suffering. I was so identified with illusion i could not even see it until you helped me awaken to the fact that everything happens within consciousness. Even the thoughts. It was at that moment i know i was suffering an illusion.

    Does make sense and thank you. Consciousness said you are aware of the body in rain, rain sound on a roof of a banger, awareness itself is coming from outside body/mind. Stage 3 would be to realize we are the awareness itself. Ok. This one can only be aware of this one. Ok. Senses lie to us, body sensations lie to us, mind lies to us, and the moon is lying.
    Ha ha. Helpful analogy which did its job. Adds perspective to view the body/mind differently which changes everything actually.☺

    • @phil.c.
      @phil.c. หลายเดือนก่อน

      No he didn't. The zen thing is about you thinking of the explanations instead of the non verbal space. Ie looking at the pointing, and not the pointed at. ( Looking at the finger instead of the moon.) .... here he is just saying all is consciousness. All of it.

    Great video thank you! I have wondered in the past why couldn’t I read thoughts if I was everything and all there is? Simple answer for me, and please correct me if needed, is that if I’m not experiencing it, it doesn’t exist except as a concept. If I can’t experience others thoughts, it’s because there are no other thoughts for me to experience. I’ve had this feeling off and on that when people look at me they aren’t looking at a face or body, they are looking into some kind of infinite void, almost as if in that void they see what they want to see. I almost start laughing sometimes because they are all acting so normal about it as they look at me, but I know they aren’t looking at anything. Do I sound completely off my rocker? Sometimes I think I might be.

      Let me recommend Bernardo Kastrup on this very topic. He speaks directly about the fact we are localized “dissociative” (no negative connotations) of a singular consciousness.
      He talks about why we cannot read the minds of others (at least not perfectly and not in a way that lends itself to the theory of oneness) He’s very scientific in his approach / having arrived at deep spiritual truths via rigorous scientific enquiry over a decade regarding consciousness in AI.
      He blows my mind.
      Corin has clearly become enlightened not unlike Spira or Tolle - through great suffering as a thought identified person - who had THE revelation we all crave.

    I am more than my physcial body. I am a soul, which inhabits a body. It's like driving a car, hence, In-CAR-nation. I decide to drive, and the mechanism responds to my controls. I experience emotions, but I must learn to distinguish these energies not as attachments and not as identifications but as aspects of inheriting this physical form. Be reminded, don't believe anything you think, unless it is rooted in massive self-awarenss. We can all learn, one step at a time, to identify the thoughts that do not belong to us. Chemical Transits in the brain will happen, and a true silencing is possible for those who can command their authentic voice to stand up in opposition to the trance of unworthiness.

    Is it not because there are no individual ones. And there is no you, as in a body and mind. There is only the consciousness. To be real one has to shine by its own light. And the body / mind only shine (temporarily) by the light of consciousness. Just as there is no moon except when it shines by the light of the sun. Without the consciousness, there is nothing.
