Anyway, the only real "prank gone wrong" is the guy hanging himself, the others are "horrific consequences to pranks"... I mean that it's not the prank itself that didn't go as planned, but the reactions of people (shooting someone for egging your car? Daaaamn, ever heard about a carwash? Geez. Someone should have a laugh instead of taking everything so fucking seriously.)
A premium TH-cam channel is just a channel you pay to watch. It becomes likes cable TV. That means your viewers would have to pay a fee to watch your channel. The viewer paying a direct fee is why you would not have to have advertisements in front of your videos. If your viewers are unable or unwilling to pay they will not see your channel anymore.

gale You can google this to learn more about it about it or to verify information. This is part of the "TH-cam original content initiative". It is a way for them to become more competitive and encourage people to make original content. You can search for premium channels and find that you either need to sign up for a monthly subscription or sign up for a free trial. Most channels will be around one dollar a month, others about five and some will ask you to subscribe to a network of channels. There are already premium channels and unless you are willing to pay you can not see their content unless someone has mirrored it. Not everyone will be eligible to receive this option. Just like not everyone can monetize their channel. It is still in the beta phase but we will just have to see where it goes.
Oh please God no. I can't understand why they would do this. TH-cam is fast becoming more popular than television, and I'm pretty sure Google is already rich as fuck, so why do anything to put people off using their site, especially if they don't need the money. It sounds like it will hurt content creators more than help them.

What seems like many years ago, TH-camr, Matthew Santoro was an accountant that enjoyed making videos. He also had (has) a blog channel. One day on his blog, he said that he lost his accounting job, and he was really down, although Matt always adds an uplifting twist to everything. He said "maybe it was a sign" that he should do TH-cam full time. Si he did, and he has grown rapidly, started dating some Canadian actress or something. If you really enjoy the social work, I'm sure you would find a great way to bring attention to it via TH-cam, possibly helping more people in the long run. Good luck either way.
