This years Barell Strength Rye was phenomenal. All of their special releases are good. My only gripe with Michter's is the low proof on most releases. Tend to like a little more heat.
I do agree that due to their low BEP, Michter's pack a lot of flavor for their proof. But I would still like to see them do some higher proof releases. How about a bottled in bond?
Still hunting this TR. I usually have terrible luck finding bottles, but somehow I own 2 M-10YB, 2 M-10YR, and 1 M-BSR. Their special release stuff reminds me of OF, but better in some respects. Cheers!
I’m not a camping guy either, but I will sit right next to you at that fire with a pour of this (or 2), 😂. I nice mild cigar with this bad boy, yup. I have about 1/2 a bottle left from the 21’ release, I had 2 bottles. Cheers Judge
Michter's and their pricing is becoming a joke. I totally disagree with all these comments. In my opinion, they are the most over priced distillery in America. Although wild turkey is slowly creeping up. :) Nevertheless, keep in mind, it's all just whiskey and it all comes from a barrel. But, they put it in cool looking bottles, make it limited, and make you believe you're getting something amazing and unique. It's all marketing and I guarantee if you blinded their products (toasted, 10 year, 25 year, etc) you would agree.
Not true at all for me. Michter’s next level stuff - blind or not. Expensive, but worth it for for experience. They are really on to something with their lower barrel entry proof!
Read up on Michters processes, that raises the cost of production. You either appreciate that or not, but there are valid reasons for their price point versus others.
This is just another bottle I’ll never see so I don’t need to watch the video. I’m sure it is great but unless I can get it I’m not gonna watch the video. Glad you got one and you will enjoy.
This sounds amazing. Hopefully I can find one that isn't $400+ a bottle.
Liked your video Judge!
Zdawg in the house!!
Love michters, I have a camp Nelson rye and bourbon. Now I haven’t opened them yet but I’m excited
Nice, Michters is always rich, bold, flavorful pour no matter what the proof! Cheers!
Thanks for the heads up Judge!
Michter’s never disappoints. Salute 🥃
Bennnn cheers
Big fan of Mitchers
Michter’s never disappoints!
No doubt

I hear ya, do remember they have a lower entry proof tho. So not adding a ton of 💧

Me too
Love the Michters line up.
Nice review judge. Where were you able to find that one?
These are all around maryland…well delaware too but slightly higher priced
I got the 2014 1.0 version. Paid $45 for it. Had I known, I would’ve bought a case. I saw a 2018 version for $400, and passed on it.
Wow $45 the good old days
Sounds great. Let the hunt begin!
🙏🏻🥃
Cheers Phil

Michter's is top notch. Even their "basic" bottle is a nice sipper.
Yes indeed

Doubt I’ll see it, but if I do, it’ll be in the collection

What is the difference between toasted and chard?
Outlined in the video.
Hopefully I can find one under $150 otherwise I’ll pass. Cheers Judge 🥃

Sounds good too bad it is out of the range I am willing to pay even at MSRP
Fair point Paul..
You should treat yourself to at least 1 nice bottle a year.
