The Mill Pond is somewhere i wouldn't want to live near Mike !!! Too risky....you have made some good footage of this tide, looking forward to part 4. ...Steve.
Yes flooding is really awful for those involved. Yet it could be worse. I watched a TV program recently where in Florida so much rain can dissolve the limestone rock under peoples houses and they can just drop and disappear into large holes. We had a case of that happening in the South West of the UK only this week where someone's car dropped down from their drive into a deep hole.
Years ago (70's) when i lived in Clifton in Bristol, our road,Wellington Park, the center of the road collapsed into a large hole...they blamed Rat workings underneath the surface !!! My car was parked not that many feet away...a lucky escape !!!
***** Gosh! If we think too much about these things one could get rather depressed! I wonder if our insurance policies cover that sort of event? Roll on the Spring and sunshine!
I went to a concert a few days ago and I could hardly see the singer for the wall of iPads in the way. At least we have been spared the snow and ice this year.
The uniformed could think he was watching the scene on TV rather than what was in front of him! I did look back at a video I made last year. It was strange to see the sudden snow fall we had then. It looks so far that its staying just very rainy this year.
we have a caravan at blue anchor ,but live in arbroath scotland ,, we have wild weather often but we have good defences ,, quite heart breaking for you local,s hope it ends soon x
Yes, its still raining outside as I write this and the wind is blowing quite strongly too. Those water spouts are something quite unusual! There is a pay to park machine in that car park. I bet they didn't expect to have to think of that when they put it in that location!
Juliette Sheerin As far as I know there has been on changes yet at that Pub where some part of the children's playground feel into the sea a few years back..
At 3.03. We know someone else who got caught out by the waves a few weeks back. . . .don't we! LOL. I was told that every fifth or seventh wave (can not remember) is a bigger one.
Just watched this video for the first time. The mill pond looked as though it was about to pour into the window and flood that poor house. I hope he faired well.

More great footage Mike, sill more to come so be careful....Bob
Thanks Bob! There is a lot of talk on TV of the flooding in Somerset currently, but I saw a lot in South Wales too when I went over here.
How will Watchet fair to day or tomorrow 18-06-19 with all the rain ? ? ?
We are still here!

Thank you for your concern. I believe much more money needs to be spent on sea defences all around the country.
On to part 4!
Too close for comfort living by the mill pond , supposed to be even higher tides to-day ?? those water spouts in the car park are something ....!!

has the ground finally given in at the pub on the hill which had a childrens play ground in blue anchor ,,, such a shame x
claudio mazzanti gosh .. not here in scotland x
claudio mazzanti Venice does not sound like a good place to live with sea levels rising. Its certainly causing world wide problems.

Those waves can be sneaky suddenly coming over high walls !
6:35, now that was close
I did get soaked from above in another time and video!

Yes. I am afraid living there they have learnt not to keep anything of value in their cellar.
And so it continues Mike with another battering due this evening.
We are certainly getting more than our fair share this winter!
