It's no the same episode if you watch it twice...
I hate myself but I could fix/ look after Lindy
There is always someone who goes:
"I can fix her/him."
Stop calling it a season! It’s a series!
One of the strongest episodes of the season, albeit the bleakest. Loved the foreshadowing!
This was genuinely my favorite episode of the season. I didn't guess the twist until the end, but during the show I repeatedly noticed Lindy's (sometimes not so) subtle racism. I'd do a double take but then wave it away like "oh she's probably just classist and spoiled". Turns out I was giving her way too much leniency, she's just racist lol.
🤨!
Such a vivid moment at the conclusion of this episode. The powerlessness that the Doctor feels is truly unique. Great story.
LOVED this episode!!! My favourite of the season
The bot comments from weird conservatives on this video are so strange. Y’all aren’t doctor who fans if you have a problem with themes surrounding racism and inclusivity lmao
This episode was aimed at them, and social media bubbles in general.
@@jeckjeck3119 and just like the people in the bubble, they won’t confront their prejudices even when they’re confronted with reality.
We would like to thank Netrodic fans, bowlsteak fans, "critical" drinker fans etc for being the insparation for this episode's villain, Lindy Pepper-Bean and her friends.
I highly recommend that you watch Am I a Racist!
Fans who love the show and hate what’s it’s become
@@Lord-ManPoweri highly recommend that you stop speaking!
@@Cupheadfan2017 What, don't like it when someone challenges your worldview and calls everything you stand for nothing but racism and sexism? Welcome to the world of everyone who's been targeted by insane leftist radicals who only care about skin, gender and sexuality.
@@Cupheadfan2017 What? Don't like it when people call you a racist out of nowhere because you happen to have a different opinion?
I really hope Ncuti gets nominated for an award for his acting in the last scene, especially as that was the first thing he filmed for this series.
For most of the Doctors (read, all aside from Baker and Capaldi) it was their first time acting in the show when they played the Doctor. Besides, Ncuti would be the last Doctor to earn an award for his acting, as he just lacked the gravitas the others had. Honestly, he felt more like a self insert crybaby pretending to be the Doctor.
@@maximvandepoll3008
With likes of Capaldi in the actor competition, yeah. But only because competition is so great. Good actors all around.
@@maximvandepoll3008Meh, Jodie Whittaker lacks of gravitas. Sorry.
SLUGS!!
This episode still hangs over my head something fierce. This is one of the bests in my eyes.
This episode was one of very very few highlights this season and 1 I point to when I tell people that IF the mouse gives RTD a social take or agenda they want early on, he can weave a brilliant and entertaining story around it. However when you watch the junk episodes like space babies, where it looks like there were reshoots and long plastic speakes put in after the fact you can see how when not given that chance, the results are disastrous.
There was also BOOM episode, 67 yeards, Meastoro, etc. Space babies was the only junk episode.
You need to watch the old RTD, he did that before.
*Racism is bad Mkay?* 🤔
*Now go and watch Am I a Racist!!!* ❤
Funny (or sad) thing is, those people that push DEI and such things honestly believe they make the world a better place with their racism. Honestly, who thought it was a good idea to battle racism with more racism?
Garbage
@@vamtired What, you think things like DEI and judging white people for what their ancestors think aren't racist?
@@maximvandepoll3008 Matt Walsh is an awful person and you probably are too if you support him.
@@vamtired Look, I don't know anything about the guy aside from the movie he made, but your rhetoric is exactly what an extremist would say about people that don't agree with them. Which would lead to crazies on your side getting radicalized and trying to kill people that people like you see as the devil, like those guys who tried to kill Trump. Don't like the guy, but he doesn't deserve to get killed.
Tragically, his would-be killers have been radicalized by leftist news outlets calling Trump as the new Hitler.
*Lindsay is basically a self insert for all of the supporters of DEI and Anti Whitism, Matt Walsh is right!!!* ❤
It's pretty obvious that Lindsay is a rich classist bigot, so it's the opposite really. You've definitely never watched the show and it's really funny to see someone say that Matt Walsh, a racist bigot, is right about anything. You're basically saying that you, personally, are a racist bigot. 😂
All the Bowlestrek fans being offended because they recognize themselves in Lindy and don't like it 😂
Kinda ironic, considering the people that cry racism, sexism, and homophobia at every little critique feel like the ones living in a bubble. Remember when "safe spaces" were a thing?
Where?
High lite from series 40, easy it's over. Just got to suffer through a special and Series 41 then its dead and buried again. Hopefully to rise with someone incharge who cares about the program and the genre and has some decent writers in toe.
This episdoe really hit him for Lindsey's of the world.
What show you watch before?
Poor ricky september! 😢🙈 Dot and Bubble was such a clever story with some truly despicable characters! Lindy was so well performed and I started off feeling slightly sorry for her, before quickly deciding she deserves every horrendous thing that comes her way! And ncuti's performance during those final scenes of the episode were incredible! ❤️❤️🔷😊
It looks like the next season will be the last before the next hiatus, even though most people stopped watching when Capaldi left! ❤
Rubbish most people stopped watching in 2010 when Tennant left
Why ? What is going on ?
@@hothemeep1219 Writing went down the toilet after the Capaldi era. Loved Jodie as a Doctor myself, she did have that energy, but a lot of the writing was lackluster. Series 11 was meh, Series 12 introduced the Timeless Child thing and undid the emotional high of the 50th anniversary, and Series 13/Flux was just a disjointed mess.
Then there's the 60th anniversary, which had some poorly written parts (hated that "you're a man again, so you're automatically worse than us" speech Donna gave the Doctor, and that whole "Rose is part you so the metacrisis is spread out" thing), though Wild Blue Yonder was good for the most part if I'm being honest. Loved to see Will again, and the Giggle was good in its portrayal of the Toymaker.
And then there's Series 15. Fart jokes, going from sci-fi to fantasy with the gods and Maestro's inconsistencies, Ruby going through a battlefield without a care in the world while the Doctor critiques Christianity (people would've been all over his ass if it was any other religion), that confusing and nonsensical ending of 73 Yards, indirectly insulting all critics by saying we're all racists that live in a bubble (which is kinda ironic, considering it looks like the writers live in a bubble of people that call all critics racists and sexists), that incredibly rushed love story with Rouge (which felt like a bad River ripoff), and that whole mess with Sutekh and Ruby's biomom (which was just nonsensical). Not to mention Ncuti didn't really feel like a Doctor to me, as he lacked the gravitas that all his predecessors (or at least from the modern era) had. Hell, it felt like he was self inserting himself into the role, with the writing basically making him a mix of a stereotypical black guy, a stereotypical gay guy, and a crybaby. Not to diss on him for being black and gay, of course, but it didn't feel natural. The Doctor felt like a caricature instead of a well written person.
@@justsomerandomguyonline1144 Nah, Smith and Capaldi were good Doctors with excellent writing.
@@maximvandepoll3008 I didn't ask for your opinion. I asked what is going on in the production
Honestly, the irony here is that it's the writers that are living in a bubble that they refuse to leave. Thinking that all critisism comes from racism, I just can't respect people like that.
No the real irony is that you believe that the writers think that. They don't. You can look up real interviews with them and not just the lies spread by actual racist people.
@@maximvandepoll3008Oh. My. God! No they haven't! No one in history has ever said that! This is all bull crap made up by people who are trying to create controversies for the sake of getting attention online!!!
That's the message of this episode! Look outside of your online bubble! If someone tells you that the showrunner of Doctor Who blames all criticism on racists LOOK IT UP!!!!!
Look up reliable sources and interviews! See if you are being lied to by people who are profiting off of lying on the internet!

And? Gmae/show/movie is them making excuses by hiding behind hot topics:/ If they were anyone else, they would say the same about different topics; different excuses. Corpos trying to buy good reviews/Media... oh no, that is completly new. How novel! It only happens now.... Not from times immemorial:/
@@maximvandepoll3008
We know y'll be sticking around, y would not be here otherwise. This episode hit too close to home on the show's "crics".
@@jeckjeck3119 Yeah, corpos area always trying to find an excuse to protect themselves. It just hits differently when they're actively calling anyone who didn't like [INSERT ANY FLOP HERE] a racist, sexist or homophobe. Especially the vast majority of criticism has nothing to do about skin colour, gender, or LGBTQ+ rep. Or when there seems to be a rise in forced diversity, combined with a dip in quality. Example, Doctor Who raceswapping Newton for an indian guy during the 60th anniversary, just after 14 got a preachy speech from Donna about how he "had it good as a woman, but ruined it by going back into a man."
As for Series 14, it was *barely* worth pirating, and only because it carries the Doctor Who name. If it didn't have the Doctor Who brand attached to it, it wouldn't have gotten nearly as much attention as it had. Looks like the vast majority of people decided to heed Ncuti's advice about touching grass, it was more fun than watching that nonsensical ending of Ruby's arc anyway.
There is no Mantraps in the colony
*insert Ben screaming and Jamie trying to sleep*

Terrible woke BLM episode
Lmao what?? how is an episode on racism (because it IS a thing the doctor will experiance now hes black, you cant deny that) is a BLM episode??
You ok bro? Need a bottle?
@@StarryPuppeteer It isn't that. It's because, in combination with RTD writing criticism off as racism/sexism/homophobia, it's basically calling everyone who's got some problem with Ncuti a racist living in a bubble.
@@maximvandepoll3008the fact that you think this is the message of the episode proves that you're a racist living in a bubble! What about Ruby or Ricky? The script presents them just as kind and capable as the doctor is!
@@BEE-oz7yd Ricky became kind after he willingly popped his own bubble and saw the rest of the world, and I did like Ruby as a character (even if her whole arc fell flat on its face at the finish line). It's just ironic that RTD says people are living in a bubble, when he himself is living in a bubble. Hell, when directly asked at a panel about the ratings getting low, he ignored the question and went on about trans rights. Kinda odd, considering that had *nothing to do with the question.*
frankly I loved this season especially since I followed everything even when I was little I was never hugged
