Kudos to the German translators of MTG. Shark in German is "Hai", typhoon in German is "Taifun". So what did they name the card? "Haifun".

Test of Talents is such a trash card when it has no targets, but it feels SO good when it hits something like Zenith Flare or Into the Story
The only reason i run two in my historic deck is that this feeling when you counter Tibalt trickery with it is unbeatable.
Another thing to note about test of talents is if you have 3 of them you can hit something like iteration, alrunds and into the story

After I built a semi-playable control deck in arena, I never really had fun playing anything other than control. I don't know how to aggro lol
The ROCK STAR thing is COOL! You do a great job doing your thing and putting up with area every day (pretty much) something i wouldn't want to do. Haven't logged on for a month and just beginning to miss it
Back when cycling decks were huge chunk of the meta i allways had 1or2 tormods crypt in each oft my control decks. The moment they play flare and i in response sac crypt and make it hit for 0 is just priceless imo. Good times

Hi there, dear blue mage. The Shark soup was my go to blue wincon for like a year. Tested with every side dish there is. I've often restrained from playing Dimir though, so I don't lose my mind or grow fins.
Nonetheless, there are still about a couple weeks until rotation, so are you sure it's the last typhoon?
I've been trying an Izzet version with Test of Talents as well as the new red Wish. So far it's raining blood but Im barely in Platinum.
A Boros control might just work too btw. IIRC what's up on Innistrad, we're gonna need some silverware to equip our warriors with. And a garlic medalion artifact.

Mill is absolutely savage in Standard 2022. It wins by copying Tasha's Hideous Laughter, sometimes with Lich to recur it from the graveyard. The rest of the deck is just removal, draw, counter and bounce spells. Ironically, it's really good against aggro, as Crush the Weak + Frost Bite + Divide by Zero + Unsummon is a really great shell for breaking aggro, while their curve is low so Teach by Example + Laughter can take out 30+ cards easily. Also, Lich doesn't need to hit the opponent to cast Laughter--it just needs to swing--so you can easily recur your key spells if you stick it.

@@l0lan00b3 I mean, I loved it too, but in standard it was waaay too overpowering. It ruined it for other sets with cool card designs that never got to shine.
@@dandiaz19934 I've really only been playing since dominaria but I would like to say that I believe there's always that one set in standard or handful of cards at least that just put everything else to shame. I like to think that with the bannings they've been on top of, kind of, since eldraine it has made standard a bit more inclusive to other strategies that don't involve the aforementioned style of cards

I'm quite new to MTG Arena and unfortunately I'm experiencing a lot of frustration because the game keeps pairing me with people with decks way stronger than mine, only rare lands, only rare removals, lots of mytich creatures... It's almost unplayable, but I don't want to leave the game yet. Could you suggest me 1 or 2 fun decks (Standard 2022) where I can spend my wildcards on and enjoy this game? Maybe something not too expensive but that will let me have fun and complete the daylies!

No one knows with what you will have fun, only you... my advice is wait for the grand rotation, I cant wait werevolves will roam the sword coast and the white kings army will march from beyond the wall while goldspan dragons will scorch them all in magma :-)

The whole month before D&D was released I visited the store every day, but the preorder bundles didn't show up. Soooo... does anyone know why?
