    Excellent explanation, chapter 8 of Yazdani’s “Voltage-Sourced Converters in Power System” book will cover the missing gaps in this lecture and shed light on the math.

    Dear sir, can you please make some videos on how to tune PI controller for these systems and also covering the hardware design and implementation of control topology on some real time plateform (either software or hardware). It will be a great help to the community.

    Dear Prof Umanand ji, it is a great presentation and explanation. I would like to know which software and system you use for writing, drawing circuits and narration recording and displaying.
    Thanks for sharing....Prof. Mahesh Kumar, IIT Madras.

      hi sir, I'm reading your papers from past 4 years. when DSTATCOM is operating as a VCM we need to generate reference voltages or reference currents.
      And why CCM and VCM cant be achieved at a time.

      Inner control will be voltage reference because the signal will trigger PWM gate driver that convert DC link voltage to be PWM voltage waveform

    Is impp constant ? As bcoz current at max power is provided by the manufacturer y compute it through mppt?

    • @vickys1460
      @vickys1460 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because max current depends on solar irradiance

    Why do you want the voltage and current vectors in phase having an angle of 0 degrees?

    • @bch2780
      @bch2780 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Because want to keep max power cos phi = 1 put to the grid

    is bidirectional powerflow possible with this method?

    • @alawi0juventus
      @alawi0juventus 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It depends on the inverter topology, full-bridge inverters allow for bi-directional power flow, as oppose to half-bridge which only go one way

    sir,can you explain how we tune our PI?

    • @bch2780
      @bch2780 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Tune P part (first skip I) , increaseP until response start to oscillate, then reduce P to 30%, then open I part tune I part until rise time as fast as possible with only little overshoot
