I think it's safe to say that most people are happy with this new addition. It's also pretty good for preservation, as we can enjoy any chapter's map at any time. The OG Pass is the part I'm most excited about! As someone who only started playing at the beginning of Chapter 5, I missed a lot of great Battle Pass skins. The fact that you're updating and remaking new versions of old Battle Pass skins is really cool, and a nice compromise since you don't wanna bring back old Battle Passes yet. I hope you do this for every Chapter and its Seasons, because there are some skins from later chapters I'd love to have alternate versions of!

Any POIs it reused on either of it's maps are from Chapter 1 (With the only exception being the Dirty Docks x Dusty Depot x Containers POI), and it uses the Chapter 1 Art Style over the Chapter 2 in most cases. It plays more like Season OG than anything though, but Reload itself is pretty much it's own thing so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I think it's a step in the right direction compared to 2023 "Season OG" but I still don't think it will be as good as an exact replica would be. The reason I liked old Fortnite was because the pacing was different, there were no bots, you couldn't easily run away from a fight so you had to think about every move you did, and there were sound effects that no longer exist that helped build pressure. It felt like the Hunger Games, and I don't think the different sounds, UI, and graphics will capture what I liked about old Fortnite. Just feels like Epic did their take on what it would be like if it was made in Creative.
List of things that are not coming to the OG Mode, but that everybody wants: 1. Original Ch1 UI/HUD 2. Original Ch1 Movement Animations & Mechanics 3. Turbo Build Being Disabled for Seasons 1-2 (Introduced in 2018's Season 3) 4. Original Foliage/Tree models (In the trailer, it shows that with high graphics settings, the foliage/tree models are higher quality and not the original models.) 5. The Exact Original Graphics (They could add this, but it could put too much work on the hands of the developers, since they'd have to match up the graphics to the old graphics due to being on a different engine.) 6. Remove Reboot Vans for Seasons 1-7 (Introduced in 2019's Season 8) Some of the things here are still speculation, so I could be wrong on what they do and don't add.

I didn’t start playing until the very last week of Season 3 so seeing the original roots of the game is going to be very cool. Also the fact they used the original trailer music is just awesome. It actually took me a second to realize it, but once the whistling came in though I immediately remembered it.

@@yakub888it’s really just because of zero build, many OG players are gonna play zero build and without sprinting or mantling in this more open map, it just wouldn’t work. They could put old movement only in builds, but having different movement in build and zero build would be pretty annoying for people who switch between the modes often. I’d just be glad they aren’t putting the new chapter 6 movement like they accidentally put in the update notes as few days ago 💀
As someone that started playing in 2017 pre-season, the old movement was really slow, sprinting and mantling will not be that bad, good that they haven't included newest additions from Ch6
Why are people so upset at the possibility of old mechanics coming back? I don't understand what is so hard about grasping this concept. If they don't bring them back, this game mode will fail. They are trying to please their entire audience, but they need to focus on their target audience: OG players. OG players want an authentic OG experience. People who want a mix between the two styles will end up playing Chapter 6, Season 1. After all, it is a fun season. Players who consistently play OG are doing so for what it is: an OG replication. So, I feel like we need to remove turbo building for the first three seasons. We need to revert the movement, at least for build modes, and bring back the OG damage system that was incredibly unbalanced. People don't realize the beauty of OG gameplay was that it mixed luck with skill. This lowered the skill gap and made the game more fun. Will skillful players still win more often? Yes. But will it be harder for every player to win? YES. We want that authentic feeling of shaking from nervousness as you hide in a building during top 5. I promise, if you've played any of the OG recreations, like EZFN when they were still producing Season 2, you’ll know this can be a reality. Stop trying to market this game mode to all players. Some players will never appreciate the simplicity and raw beauty of OG Chapter 1.

@@yakub888it’s really just because of zero build, many OG players are gonna play zero build and without sprinting or mantling in this more open map, it just wouldn’t work. They could put old movement only in builds, but having different movement in build and zero build would be pretty annoying for people who switch between the modes often. I’d just be glad they aren’t putting the new chapter 6 movement like they accidentally put in the update notes as few days ago 💀

As someone that started playing in 2017 pre-season, the old movement was really slow, sprinting and mantling will not be that bad, good that they haven't included newest additions from Ch6
Why are people so upset at the possibility of old mechanics coming back? I don't understand what is so hard about grasping this concept. If they don't bring them back, this game mode will fail. They are trying to please their entire audience, but they need to focus on their target audience: OG players. OG players want an authentic OG experience. People who want a mix between the two styles will end up playing Chapter 6, Season 1. After all, it is a fun season. Players who consistently play OG are doing so for what it is: an OG replication. So, I feel like we need to remove turbo building for the first three seasons. We need to revert the movement, at least for build modes, and bring back the OG damage system that was incredibly unbalanced. People don't realize the beauty of OG gameplay was that it mixed luck with skill. This lowered the skill gap and made the game more fun. Will skillful players still win more often? Yes. But will it be harder for every player to win? YES. We want that authentic feeling of shaking from nervousness as you hide in a building during top 5. I promise, if you've played any of the OG recreations, like EZFN when they were still producing Season 2, you’ll know this can be a reality. Stop trying to market this game mode to all players. Some players will never appreciate the simplicity and raw beauty of OG Chapter 1.
