    This momentum trader has been trading for 14 years. He once made use of technical indicators and overnight gap-ups to make over $1Million profit in one trade. However, he also had the most unexpected story of how a trader lost 7-figures by writing naked options puts.

    Keith shared his unique technical trading strategies and indicator techniques in the full 1hr+ podcast. Let me know if you would want to hear it 👀
    *Clarification- Keith's GME loss was from writing naked calls at $100 strike price* (he was nervous during the interview so misspoke a couple times😅)

    Yes Shay, I'm interested in hearing more from Keith about his technical trading strategies. I think many traders go through times I like that. I know I did, but I didn't lose anywhere near what Keith lost. My lost was big to me, which left me with nothing in my account and I have never made a trade like that since. As the saying goes, "Once bitten, twice shy!"

    Definitely agree about having a job while trading. I’ve tried trading before without a job and can totally relate to this guy’s comment about how it screws up your trading psychology. End up making trades that you shouldn’t because you need some income, instead of just being patient and wait for the right trade/set-up. But I guess we have all been there.

    • @ryawong
      @ryawong ปีที่แล้ว

      EXACTLY. I was wondering if I was the only who noticed this. Also depending on the premium you sold those puts at, your upside is limited to the premium gained writing those puts. You gotta have some balls writing puts on GME like that after the whole Gamma squeeze prior that brought the price up to $500. The swings in the P&L must be huge.

    I'd point out that I make a living selling premium, mostly naked, and have done it for many years (>15). It can be done. You control your size and have a strategy for exiting, rolling, etc.. In my case I tend to trade index options, etf options, and options on "boring" stocks. I also keep things essentially cash covered. So I'd totally disagree with the generalization that writing options is a path to destruction.

    Can't deny the fact that *LVRCH CAPITAL* has the strongest bet to bring lights back to this industry after we suffered FTX, Celsius, Tera and so on. Sure if they fail it's done for good but the pressure is too high and I think they will keep proper liquidity rather than these others. Don't see them going bankrupt any time soon.

    I really appreciated this video, as a medium-term *LVRCH CAPITAL* holder. I know you commented on not many people paying attention to this, but it was very relevant for holders such as myself. After watching your thoughts, I willbuy more. I also remember your earlier assessment. This will crush the market.

    greaat video to learn from someone who has taken reckless trades like this than do it yourself and blow up your account and be forced to never trade again.

    Listening to his story got me in full cautious mode now. Like right now, go to check on all my options again and again and again... till I'm sure can handle the risk properly. 😅😢

    My biggest loss ever was on the same day on the same stock, during the same hours, but I was long. How could I lose, right? Well, I did because I wasn't emotionally prepared for the large red numbers I was seeing during pullbacks due to the fact that I got in late and had went "all in." Then when I realized the lost and the stock went back to skyrocketing then of course the cycle repeated two more times. It was a significant 5 figure loss for me. Good lessons learned that day, the hard way. After that I committed to never go "all in" without risk management no matter how good the opportunity is, and I've kept that commitment.

      Also, my recollection was that that stock hit $200 after hours on that day. But it has been a while since I looked at that chart.

    To earn a million dollars, you need to have a million dollars in your account too.

      Of course, but it will be very hard work for most traders, and very easy work for a minority of traders, that's the difference. 🙂

      Or, you have to be willing to lose one million dollars. There is no free lunch in the stock market. For example, you could make a 100% return day trading a penny stock, but you could also lose 100%. If you are day trading a fund that covers the entire S&P 500 index, you might only earn one percent on a single day trade, however, you would only lose around one percent.
