I remember getting my SNES as a child and playing Super Mario World excessively. In my opinion, SNES is where console games really started really shine. I loved NES but SNES really was where my passion for gaming came from.

9:40 not sure how much that Xenosaga 3 guide was but that is absolutely worth picking up f it was cheap. they made very few copies of that and it is even more rare than the game I think.

Super Return of the Jedi is the only one of the 3 SNES games that i completed as a kid. They definitely worked out a lot of the bugs from the first two games, but they compensated with difficult level design.
In the end, its still fun to force jump and swing a light saber!
I look forward to when you find Wario's Woods. Its my favorite puzzle game on the SNES.
Man that game is HARD lol, we hope to find Wario's Woods soon!
Return of the Jedi was hard for me to find doing the same thing. Star Wars and Empire were fairly easy. Good vid. New follower.

Surprise is in the outer rim. I think RetroExchange is the best option on that side of town. The owner is awesome and they have great selection. 😊
I was one of the ones that played MK 1 on Game Gear. I loved that version had the blood in it, didn’t own the SNES version b/c of that.
I agree with you that the SNES MK 2 is better than the Genesis MK 2, one of the few times that’s the case on 3rd party games on both consoles.
They felt pretty close on Genesis if I remember correctly, but it was a LONG time ago lol. Classic console wars! 😀
@@JRPGLife Not your genre but I always had to settle for the inferior EA Sports versions on SNES vs. Genesis.

Just curious what site did you use to find the prices of these cause I check PC and it said Metroid prime complete was $28. Also really love this series
We will talk more about the disc-based games when we get to that stage, but we based our findings off of loose values through Price Charting 🙂

I collect a little for genesis. But figure I’ll run into a SNES person since it feels like everyone over 30 has one in retro community.

how can you not have super punch out on your list? I would of grabbed that top loader i had my taken years ago and can't find one under 300
We stated it a few times in the video, but all the SNES games on our list HAVE to cost $20 or less. Since Super Punch Out runs around $30, it can't be on the list 😀

I hear ya on the inexpensive supposedly commons. We went on a quest just about for a decent copy of Super Mario Bros 2. It was weird because we didn’t think this would be one that would be hard to find. As soon as stores had it at the time, I think it sold. We finally found it at last years So Cal Gaming Expo. Not the prettiest cart, but it plays!

@PhoenixResale We filmed it, knowing we would ask Mort to edit the video later. We requested he keep our Nintendo Quest formula the same, but add Mort pizzazz.

We took IGN's top 100 list on each console and filtered out the highest-ranked 10 that cost $20 or less. There are a LOT of games on their list that cost over $20 (including RPGs) 😀
