as an american living in dallas and hearing him in interviews all the time, green has always sounded american, give or take a few words here and there. but here you can def hear his aussie accent. I bet it's just one of those things when you're around people from home, your accent starts to revert back a little more. mine certainly does when I'm around people from my country.
