In this video we used a called Eco Proof Heavy Duty waterproofing. Their website for all other products is www.dugill.co.za where they actually have how to videos that explains how to use their products
Great vid. I maintained my roof for the 10yrs I've been living at my property. I have a leak that I can fix myself but wanted to see if I can get insurance to pay for it. I got declined with no remorse lol... I did my roof nearly 2yrs ago but with the recent cray weather it must've disturbed something so hence the current leak. Sigh, I'll just do it myself & cancel my standard bank insurance seeing that they no longer want to cover geysers, it pointless having them as that was the only thing they ever approved lol
How's it Winston? I'm gonna try the liquid rubber very soon, hopefully it will work. Anyway I'll keep you posted. Thanks for the tip. I appreciate it .
Thank you for this. We had a recent heavy rain and found out that the roof leaks. Where can I buy this product ? Does it come in spray option? I have never done painting would you suggest I can still try to do it myself .. thanks a lot !
I got mine from Takelot and this product seems to thick to spray on in my opinion. There are lots of other products out there that is thinner to able you to spray. If you are not comfortable painting then I suggest you get someone to do it for you. It all depends on how confident you are doing it yourself. So in my opinion, i would say try it yourself once to build that confidence...
From what I know, you first have to use a steel brush to get rid of the rust, then you have you clean the area, then you have to use a primer. There are various of primers to use and since I didn't use it myself, I don't want to associate myself with any of them if I have not tried it myself. Hope that you understand
Awe JPH. Short answer, I don't know. I bought 2 brushes because it took me 4days to finish the job. I managed to use 1 brush for 2 days. Sorry I cannot be of much help
Yes it does. I did the one part that I showed on the video and the other area where we also had a problem and till this day, no more leaks. Our pond is also holding water now

Hello There, thank you so much for sharing this video, please help, how much paint you used for that area, did you use the whole 20ltr.
Thank you for the feedback. The area used up quarter of the 20ltr
thanks for the video. So you don't have to prime a metal roof with a metal primer before you add the liquid rubber?
Professionals will always advise you to prime. I did not prime and it worked for me. The decision is up to you.

Where are you from ? I would like your suggestions. How can you clean the ooxidation (corrosion) before applying rubber paint ? 🙏🙏🙏

Hi, i would like to get this liquid rubber where can 1 get it coz I'm just about 60 kilometers from Rustenburg is there any place that sells it?
Hi there, I bought mine from Takelot
Howzit Winston, I am struggling with my brushes when using liquid rubber.
How do you make sure they don't go hard?
Awe JPH. Short answer, I don't know. I bought 2 brushes because it took me 4days to finish the job. I managed to use 1 brush for 2 days. Sorry I cannot be of much help
@@bushieswatboer1876 thank you 🙂
Do you think this can be sprayed on with an airless sprayer....? @@bushieswatboer1876
dear may i use that product in beams or slab?
I'm not quite sure I understand your question
Hey Brother, how many of those 20lt did you use?
Howzit. On that piece of roof, I used almost half the 20lt bucket
Awe my boeta, tell me bra,how many square meters does 20ltr of rubber waterproofing cover?
Awe. It depends how you apply it but I covered 70m2 with a 20ltr
Don't you need to remove the rust?
I didn't have to and it is still working perfectly after a year of applying the product
What is the name of this liquid rubber
Eco proof Heavy Duty. I got it from Takelot
What's your feedback on the product?
Does it work?
Yes it does. I did the one part that I showed on the video and the other area where we also had a problem and till this day, no more leaks. Our pond is also holding water now
@@bushieswatboer1876 thanks for the response. I am considering using this product. It seems to be relatively new on the market
Wow we're to buy
Ndaa. Nice video. Can you apply the product using a roller?
So you are advising it should be done when it is cloudy.
😂that’s what I’m trying to understand as well. I’m supposed to be doing this today
I think I was referring to the heat. When its cloudy and about to rain, I would advise not to do it
Hoe lyk die dak?
As ek kon reply met a photo dan het ek. Dit lyk nou soos a bakkie se bak wat gerubberised is.
Awe mase kinders 😂😂
