My aunt and uncle had 8 kids parents are passed my 8 cousins are dispersed all across the US I hate it we were all together growing up holidays together 😢
"How is everybody paid off? I had $35 in my hand, I'm standin' here holdin' nuthin'! Now don't nobody move! "Cause we're gonna start this whole trans-faction over! And we're gonna do it slow, right from the very beginnin'!"
Gloria is a bit too old to be scared of a blackout. And when Edith wants to go up and check on Joey, Gloria screams that she doesn't want to be alone. She was surrounded by her loving husband and father!😮
Ikr. Even tho I hated how Archie treated Edith sometimes I could see his POV on Mike never hardly thanking them for that! Of course Archie did it for Gloria & Edith & really actually loved having them around. Many shows even showed he loved Mike too, he knew he loved his daughter & Archie loved to argue lol. Mike still had a right to stick to his beliefs tho he shouldn’t have agreed with all Archies bigotry just to keep peace. Besides there would be no show if he did that lol!
Not a fair contest between Mike and Archie since you have to eat to live but you sure don't need to smoke to live. Plus they started the timing just before lunch so Mike went longer without eating than Archie did without smoking.
I love it it reminds me of my grandparents & happy times when I was very little. They sure got a kick out of it. I still remember that, being happy to be at my grandparents & now that I’m the age they were at that time (!!!) I get the storylines.
The prize money from the baby contest sponsored by the newspaper, and he wasn’t aware that his friend the judge from Municipal Court was indicted three weeks earlier.
I get the all in the family drift. politics, religion, economy. blah blah blah. It hasn't changed at all since then. I was seven years old when the 1969 pilot for this show was first aired. I remember my dad making jokes about it like "damn right!" I love my dad. when he leaves this place I will miss him, just like Archie missed Mike and Gloria when they were portrayed as leaving. Damn right.
Gloria is Archie’s daughter, so she can get away with a bit of irritating. “Meathead” should be grateful enough not to irritate the man who’s providing him with a roof. It isn’t exactly Miami Beach in New York City in December, if you catch my meaning.
I loved the serious episodes as much as the pure funny ones. Beverly LaSalle episode was great. It really gave us a chance to see Edith’s smart side. She may not have been “educated” as Jean Stapleton said, but she has a different kind of intelligence.
I recently watched interviews with Jean Stapleton. Wow. So different than Edith. Kind of weird & almost sad how she seemed to resent being associated with a character the country loved. GREAT actress tho. She gets into how much she loved the show too tho- how it was like theater with the live audience & some improvising - & how they had freedom to protect their characters & whether or not they would say or do certain things. Interesting. Truly a great group of actors - not just people basically playing themselves.
I wish Mike and Gloria stayed next door to Archie and Edith … maybe they would’ve gotten a divorce ! Haaaa I know it’s all fake however there’s something to it with being around family ✝️🩷
But daddy i got clothes on archie where where??? Here here with her new yok accent thats funny and take the the polish mark spitz wirh you who thinks of these norman lear?😊😅
This is when life was pure.
i love the Archie loses his money bit 😂
"Were still having a heatwave" is one of the very best!
Edith running in hello everybody tippy toed I'm home priceless
Greatest show of all time❤
Hillarious Post All In The Family. So What Gloria Is In A Bathing Suit
The money exchange in the last scene always cracks me up. It is brilliant.
we're doing the whole transfaction over LOL
Sometimes Mike and Gloria could be annoying especially when Gloria had that high pitched whine of hers.
And meathead's mental illness called liberalism
Yeah! in Season 1 Gloria was a lib dip with that stupid voice! LOL!
Archie was hilarious but then really the whole cast and the supporting cast like the Lorenzo’s were All hilarious !!😆
I wish life was still like this. He is telling the truth. It’s sad that family is all over the place
My aunt and uncle had 8 kids parents are passed my 8 cousins are dispersed all across the US I hate it we were all together growing up holidays together 😢
Whatever

Archie was 100% correct in telling Gloria and Mike to dress properly in his house!😊
I’m a heat wave with no a/c
Grow up. There was nothing wrong with this at all.
Think of it as Archie and Edith’s investment in their Gloria’s future.
Great show about who owes whom money. Brilliant!
Movin’ down south to Minnesota!
Next to Alaska, Minnesota is a northern state.
All in the family had the best writers. The polock Mark Spitz is just pure gold.
Gloria is a bit too old to be scared of a blackout. And when Edith wants to go up and check on Joey, Gloria screams that she doesn't want to be alone. She was surrounded by her loving husband and father!😮
Love that archie‼️🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Mike didn’t have a problem living off of Archie’s dime.
He wasn't.
@@AdamTaylor-g5pHe was. He was big liberal mooch.
He was in school

Correction!
College!
Archie look mad about money ownages!
Gloria when Michael went to the hospital I distinctly remember you saying you would pay for his operation Archie only if he didn’t live 😆
that was FUNNY.
Paper operation?
First scene was not The Unemployment Story. That was Archie’s Brief Encounter.
Gloria looks great in that bikini.
Mike had a great physique and was decent looking.
I didn’t think Gloria looked good in that bikini. She didn’t have any waist. She might’ve been small, but figure wasn’t great.
@@joyceadair3003 looked pretty good to me.
Gloria looked FANTASTIC in her cutie bikini in my opinion..!😅
What I noticed was why didn’t someone shut the door 😉
Not a fair contest between Mike and Archie since you have to eat to live but you sure don't need to smoke to live. Plus they started the timing just before lunch so Mike went longer without eating than Archie did without smoking.
too much analysis lol
I agree they started that contest at exactly the wrong time. It wasn’t an equal match.
"Take the Polack Mark Spitz with ya!"
The Michael Phelps of the early 1970s.
Omg, ma skipped so FAST thru that door across the room!
Sally ( Gloria )strutters was super fly & all woman literally!!!🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃
Struthers
She was a lil baddie back in the day🔥🔥
Love the Levi’s bathing suit !!
This show could come out today and still use the same script!

Archie was always grouchy
I can’t exactly blame him for feeling that way.
How true that is!
You always bought these characters
My all time fav show, its my go to every time im down....
I love it it reminds me of my grandparents & happy times when I was very little. They sure got a kick out of it. I still remember that, being happy to be at my grandparents & now that I’m the age they were at that time (!!!) I get the storylines.
Sally is such a beauty.
Pay the twenty. 😂😂😂😂
$20 in the 70s was probably worth $50 today? I'm just guessing
More like $200+ Remember gas was 35-50 cents in the 70’s. You could buy a nice home for $35-45 thousand.
@@matthewbrice6202actually 20 grand

archie said for years he wants the money, mike gives him a cheque for 1500 archie rips it up
See the people in the shadows in the back of Edith when the lights went out.
Archie was money hungry
The prize money from the baby contest sponsored by the newspaper, and he wasn’t aware that his friend the judge from Municipal Court was indicted three weeks earlier.
Archie was kind.

Edith balanced Archie
Vice versa actually.
I hated the episodes when Edith tried to ruin Christmas.
Yeah, we don't like the serious eposodes..
Does that also include when they had a draft dodger for a guest at Christmas Dinner?
Would this include the episode wherein Irene Lorenzo feels that she would rather trust Mike instead of Archie?
I loved that episode!@@LindaCooper-i3f

You could easily flip these scripts..as funny as they were....into straight drama
All in the Family ~ those were the days 🇺🇸
Today’s liberals need to learn to laugh
Tell it to the ones who are STILL following the philosophies of both Karl Marx and Lenin!
Gotta admit...Sally Struthers was definitely a cutie! I was only around eight years-old, but I knew she was hot! 🙂
Gloria was hott back in the day.
I truly didn't like Mike specially when he had money and wanted to give it to a political candidate I would have put his but out.
Meathead
This show had potential but introduced to much Lefty thought.
"My Little grandson gonna walk up to you with tears streaming from his eyes and he's gonna say to you... "Meathead"" 😂😂 9:55
"TRANSFACTION". Classic.
