It's always better when they don't laugh at there own jokes.. Clunes looks like he can't w ait for a laugh at everything that comes out of his mouth...
Update; they also found the location of Plato's tomb on one of the scrolls last announcement. Not really relevant but I thought I would throw it in there 🤣
Funniest episode of the show I've seen for quite a while. Brilliant hosting from Martin Clunes and excellent additions from both new guests! Look forward to hopefully seeing much more of them in the future.
Grateful for finding your offering! Here, in the divided states, this show, and Martin Clunes infectious grins and happy sharings, made me laugh outloud! I sure needed to laugh! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! 👍💐
“Agony aunt” is a wonderful job title. In America, such a person is called an “advice columnist.” It doesn’t have the same pizazz- nor, in fact, any pizazz at all.
Martin Clunes really gives the show a boost. I like how he goes off script with his own comments. Also, Chloe Petts was a natural - it's rare for anyone but a show regular to contribute that much.
Jeez, good thing Martin was there... the rest (audience included) forgot to eat their wheaties in the morning. I thought Paul had a good streak going, but this episode he's just... looking shocked all the time for some reason.
"Unlike the Vietnam War, there's different points of view." If everyone agreed there'd have been no protesting, but there was, and there was also counter-protesting, and there was violence between groups. Things came to a head at Kent State. There were antiwar protestors, anti-antiwar protestors, FBI infiltrators of the antiwar protest groups, and National Guardsmen with rifles, shooting and killing the antiwar protestors and bystanders. But I guess there weren't different points of view. That was a clueless and frankly insensitive thing to say. I don't know about the UK, but there were decent Americans who believed that was a just war against dangerous communists, and there were decent Americans who believed that was was an abomination against humanity. It tore our country apart. The same thing happened before WWII - protests in the streets to keep us out of the war, and counter-protests trying to get us into the war. Nothing is as simplistic as she seems to think.
Lyse Doucet: nice to see a fellow Canadian making it in Britain! 🇨🇦 Her joke at 21:35 😂 and nice to see Chloe reacting and cheering it so it got much bigger laugh! 39:39 Well… technically, for Scotland, Lyse’s answer is correct. 🏴
10:30 - I've been studying what happened that caused that scooter to upend, and it appears that he hit its left front wheel with his left foot. Still, I think I'd review the design of the scooter to see if it could be made so that that mistake by a person in a hurry couldn't spill it.
This is being delivered to me substantially later than a typical week. I often get these on Sunday. I have to wait until Monday afternoon for THIS one. Who do I sue? I almost di'ed of withdrawal.
@@WFitzgerald Thank you. I have seen ALL of May Bank's films. One of the great actresses. If she doesn't deserve to have a U.K. Holiday named after her, nobody does. And no, I'm NOT suing her estate. This episode can be a WEEK late, for all I care, if it's to commemorate May Bank.
16:44 - No, Martin Clunes, those aren't jeans that are riding unusually low. It's a shirt and jacket that are cut unusually short, exposing the midriff.
@@marciawade8813 They're at a typical place below the bellybutton for a person of that build. When I was thinner I wore my pants there all the time. They're still below the belly-button, but not not as much as they used to be.
It's amazing that students who have paid for a food plan feel they have the right to be fed when they've locked everyone else out of the building. It's a bit like a Hunger striker in a jail. I mean the government pays for them to be fed, but they're not going to force feed them are they. And those poor prisoners are going to get sick from their Hunger Strike. But what can anyone do? I shall wring my hands with woe for them all. As far as water? Didn't the taps work in the toilets?
Sounds like some foolish grasping as straws, decent organizers would of arranged for food and water to be brought in. I've organized with groups for stuff not even merely as high profile and arranged for lots of good for days.

“Unlike the vietnam war there are different points of view” what? They killed protestors of the vietnam war out of fear, because of bombings. For someone who was alive while it was going on it’s a shame how she misremembers to creat a sympathetic view for those who support the genocide of the Palestinian. Columbia was the last of the near ivy’s to allow jewish students to attend, they have an institutionally poor reputation with us, there are more jewish students involved in the protest AGAINST the US funding genocide than there are jewish students expressing fear of protestors(who again, are also jewish and have a largly jewish leadership)
I like Ian, he is a very funny and honest bloke but he has a massive chip on his narrow, sloping shoulder about Scotland and our excellent Scottish National Party. They have achieved so much for Scotland with one hand tied behind their backs and are under constant attack from the British Establishment and their lap dogs, (or bosses, never sure which), in the Main Stream Media. His snide comments about SNP MSPs being charged with crimes is just underhand British Nationalist propaganda of the worst sort. One person has been charged and is still innocent until proven otherwise. It all smacks of a smear campaign against the SNP ahead of the General Election which the unionist parties in Scotland look set to lose in a landslide victory for those who want Scotland to return to a state of normal independence. GIRFUY!
Martin Clunes seems to have more fun on this show each time he hosts.
I'm here for it
It's always better when they don't laugh at there own jokes.. Clunes looks like he can't w ait for a laugh at everything that comes out of his mouth...
When I’m dying I’d like to have Doc Martin playing on the TV in my room. The best show ever made.
I love when he is on.
The extended version is perfect for him. I should really watch the regular one to see what they cut out aha
Enjoyed Chloe! Always good to see a first timer do well.
I don't think anyone enjoys hosting this show more than Martin. I love it!
The BBC reporter sent to Scotland, popping in and out of camera view, reminded me of a Monty Python sketch.
The cheeky little news goblin :D
Love it when the host enjoys themselves like Mr Clunes does.
Thank you, ViVaHD! You are a gem 💎
Chloe Petts was a lot of fun and so were her genuine reactions to everything. Martin was in top form!
'Constant lettuce', lol! 😂
She had a good point, there are Tory MPS with stranger names.@@trudimclaren4301
Both guests were excellent and should be on more. Martin was awesome. You can see everyone was having fun.
Honestly this episode made my day! On my birthday no less! Martin is such a terrific host as always, his episodes are hands down, the funniest!!

Finally got around to watching this week's episode, Martin Clunes is one of my favorite hosts, thanks.
The pre-show banter alone was worth the wait for a bit more news.
It's on the regular version as well....
So perfectly timed and delivered...
Martin Clunes looks absolutely tremendous
I vote for Martin Clunes as a contestant on @Taskmaster 😅
He would be great!
i don't know why, but seeing julian clary on gave me hope paul may do it some day.
@@kurdtinchains Ah, Julian Clary of the Natural Friends.
I absolutely love this show. Thank you and please keep them coming for us outside the UK.
Thank you so very much for the upload. I am learning to wait for the extended edition.

“Agony aunt” as a title may have pizzazz but it does not have any remote expectation of competency. You’ll find it next to the Astrology section.
Clunsey always whacks it out of the park
Easy better than the last few...
He made up for the lackluster guests.
THANK YOU !!!!
It's a 12 sided dice, ancient DnD players
Thank you!
The writers on this show are brilliant!
Can’t believe Ian is low key the most logical voice on the ceasefire and how Netanyahu isn’t serious about it
Really felt Martin had to intervene there - his co-panelist was obviously very pro-Israel 😒
it was an odd segment. i think they mentioned vietnam more times then gaza
Or, just a typical North American 'journalist'. Unfortunately @trudimclaren4301
Brilliant episode! Thanks Viva!
It's not often that Ian applauds his teammate.
Good episode, thanks.

I'm confused because the himmler thing is from a show from years ago.
