I was just 12 years when i first Watched Boys over flowers and i swear i felt everything for Ji Hoo. He is the reason why i still have 2nd lead syndrome up to this day . Now I’m 23 and still my heart hurts every time. He deserved the girl .
It's always Jihoo for me❤ The character that feels like first love. I always feel nostalgic when I see Jihoo. He actually loved her so much and his love is selfless. He is 100 times better choice than Gun Jun Pyo. This is one of the few dramas that I hoped and prayed the female lead would end up with the second male lead. Jihoo was so good to Jandi and the first one to treat her kindly and was always there for her. He geniunely loved her and showed it in all the things he did for her and how he treated her. If it were me in Jandi's place I would have picked Jihoo without a doubt!

It’s so crazy how all 3 of the F4 shows are similar and different. This is the only one that I wished the lead characters didn’t end up together. I really wished Ji-Hoo and Jandi would be together. When you saw her you saw him. He supported her through everything and could tell he loved her. He even went to medical school to be by her side. In Meteor Garden and F4 Thailand you could see the love between Lei/Shancai and Ren/Gorya but I think it was more to a brother and sister relationship. Jandi and Ji-Hoo was so different. Watching these videos and knowing they didn’t end up together just makes me so sad 😞.

I don't know what to say but it is obviously the writer's fault. I watched the Taiwanese version of Meteor Garden and they did justice on the main couple and the original story. I think it helped that Lei/Ji Hoo was less present in some episodes so the main couple can be developed. They only messed up on the 2nd season because they did the same mistake that Boys Over Flowers did: make the main couple less likable and give Lei/Ji Hoo screentime and development with Shan Cai and Jan Di. They'll make them show us that the guys deserves the girl only to be dumped because of the dramatic storyline. I have love-hate relationship with this show because they turned to a different direction after the 'contest or you'll be expelled' arc. I like this show because they brought us new things to the story but I somehow got disappointed that those changes damaged the point of the original story. I love Ji Hoo but I hate when he has to be in a scene where he isn't supposed to be. Why make the audience fall inlove with him and take the momentum that was for Lee Min Ho only to break his heart? The only part where we actually got the mai couple centered again in the story was towards the LAST EPISODE!! I love Jan Di/Shan Cai/Makino and JunP Pyo/Si/Tsukasa's love story despite liking the 2nd charter more than the main that is why it's sad they took the spotlight to the MinSun couple only to torture Ji Hoo in the story. The more screentime he gets, the more painful for him and for us. The only they never got together is because the endgame pair isn't for the writers to decide because this is just another remake and the original author already decuded it would be Jandi and Jun Pyo. Honestly,id I never shipped Ji Hoo with Jae Kyung, I'm still mourning for them the same way I'll forever mourn for NaruSaku.
