    Love this video. CNC machining is such an awesome technology: I can just watch these parts take shape over and over again.

    Just because one is additive and one is subtractive doesn't mean they are completely different. Both run on Gcode, and very similar dialects of Gcode as well. 3D printing was actually my gateway into getting my degree in CNC programming and operation.

      After all, they have similarities and differences & As far as i knew all CNC machines have similarities in running on g code!!

    Super Insightful. For someone from a non-technical background, it was super easy to understand.

      I agree. his way of educating and giving it in the simplest way is incredibly amazing. I hope he educates us more about such techs and computers!

      yeah can a lathe work on Gcode with little human supervision?

    • @royackerschott4617
      @royackerschott4617 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes a lathe can indeed work wirh little human supervision i do this every single day
      Most of the time it is the first part you dtay by thr machine to check if evrything is okay and the second you walk away beacause the machine will repeat its process exactly and you checked by the first if evrything went godd

    3:35 there are machines that can hold +-0.001mm but then the process has to be perfect. Generally +-0.01mm or even +-0.005mm is achievable
