I lost someone who was like a father in the spirit to me from liver cancer. I had been praying for healing and resurrection from the dead. I was there the moment he passed and when I was on my way home from the hospital crying out to God this song popped in my head, I had only heard it once and I put it on and The Holy Spirit came in so much strength to reinforce my foundation. What is my life built on, the rock of Christ and I will not be shaken.

Been following Jesus for almost 16 years on a hope I'd eventually feel loved and find the satisfaction and joy everyone says is real. Still waiting. I like the worship music even though I've never been able to sing it without feeling fake. I keep listening in hopes it'l become true for me someday.

Thank you Bob Bevan. There is a good chance you would get to see results of your prayers here. I am willing to post whatever the results are. I said that aloud to God myself. Lately I have had horrible senses come over me but a friend told me about an intercessory prayer guy. I said have him do his thing... I felt alive again in 5 minutes. That process has repeated a few times now, the crap keeps coming back. Every so often a friend will tell me of someone who doesn't even know me suddenly feeling like they need to pray for me after hearing me described. Whatever is going on I just wish light would break through and stay.
I know this was posted a while back, but I'll reply anyway just in case you are still having problems. Your faith isn't so much based on anything you can see or feel, but putting your hope and trust into Lord in every area of your life, you just have to surrender it all to him. Jesus told Thomas you have seen me therefore you have believed, but blessed are those who hasn't seen but still believed, I'm sure the same goes for feeling. I'm not saying, you can't feel God's presence at all because there are times when I feel it, and there are times I don't but your faith there is based on believing God is there even when you feel nothing. Even Jesus felt this when he was on the cross he felt God had forsaken him, but God got him through it. I don't know if you are speaking of not feeling God's love or, speaking about relationships. When it comes to God's love it was already demonstrated on the cross, Christ wasn't just beaten and nailed to the cross he took the entire wrath of God that was meant for us that was his perfect love for you and everyone that came into repentance. Even if you have nothing in this life rest in the fact, that you have the most important thing In your life, the son. One thing that is lost in the modern world is true gospel, and the truth is that we will not live our best life now, our best life comes when Jesus comes back which is pretty soon. It sounds to me, you are going through spiritual warfare, the devil is a clever foe, if you have any weaknesses he will try to break you down because he knows he's toast and he wants everybody to go down with him. To beat him you have to put on the full armor of god, which is the word of god. When Jesus was tempted he used the word of god because the word is power. For the fact that you been having this feeling, for 16 years and still haven't been broken just shows God is with you because, you can't do that alone. Just take that feeling and give it to God and just let it go and ask him to replace it with the holy spirit. Any doubts you have give it to god because victory is yours through Jesus and you have eternal life and dwell on that when you worship and remember all things work for the good for those who love the lord. Sorry for going on and on, I did the best I could to explain things, which I'm not good at, hopefully this helps if you are still having troubles. God bless.
My best friend recommended me some Bethel church songs and then I came across this song. I was at that time overwhelmed with university and it seemed that my life was heading nowhere; I considered ending my life once a week. However, he kept telling me to turn back to HIm, even though I was still confused to why God would even love someone like me. I denied His love until one day, I decided to try and embrace it. I listened to this song, and I was utterly moved-- as if something inside of me is shaking. Listening to this song definitely made me understand that indeed "I will build my life upon Your love." It's as if through this song I could really feel that God is telling me that I will be okay. I'm so glad that my best friend was always there for me, and I'm very thankful that God is patient enough to wait for me to return :) I'm still in the process of learning; I hope I can fully devote my life to Him and only Him.

2 Peter 1:5-7 gives a great explanation of God’s idea of love. This passage assumes you have the Holy Spirit which it the only way we can love as Christ loved us. Think of it like a tower first you have the foundation of faith, which is our trust and assurance in God, his grace and his promises. On top of that virtue which means having high moral standards (as God defines it) essentially the desire to be holy because of our faith. Next we place knowledge which refers the knowledge of God so we are adding desire to do good to knowing the one who is good. This helps foster self-control and as you exercise your newfound self-control you develop perseverance and that is what produces godliness. Only after you have built those in order can you truly develop brotherly kindness and the love which Christ demonstrated throughout his life and ultimately on the cross.

Amanda is my favorite Bethel artist ever. I just connect to her so much. She is the reason for why I showed interest in joining my youth group's Student Worship Team and be a worship leader. I really feel the presence of God strongly every time I listen to her. I just love everything about her. I hope I can meet her one day. She is truly an amazing woman of God.

I really like the sensitivity of this cover of the song. The volume dynamics are enjoyable because they address the respective highs and lows of this song, the worship of God’s glory, and then the soft, tender, and subtle sound that I feel acknowledges that “you’ll be weak and beat down sometimes, and in those times, it’s okay to feel what you’re feeling, and you will eventually be brought up again with the help of God”. The drum beat seems to often be syncopated compared to the original, which shows more of the open-sounding music. It might not be as energetic as the original, but it clearly wasn’t intended to be; it was intended to be soothing and comforting. A great example of the value to be found through the feminine creation, as opposed to the strictly masculine creation. Each has their respective strengths and weaknesses, which further shows how they’re designed for each other, to compliment each other, and for each to become whole only by forming a union with the other.

Thank you Bob Bevan. There is a good chance you would get to see results of your prayers here. I am willing to post whatever the results are. I said that aloud to God myself. Lately I have had horrible senses come over me but a friend told me about an intercessory prayer guy. I said have him do his thing... I felt alive again in 5 minutes. That process has repeated a few times now, the crap keeps coming back. Every so often a friend will tell me of someone who doesn't even know me suddenly feeling like they need to pray for me after hearing me described. Whatever is going on I just wish light would break through and stay.
I know this was posted a while back, but I'll reply anyway just in case you are still having problems. Your faith isn't so much based on anything you can see or feel, but putting your hope and trust into Lord in every area of your life, you just have to surrender it all to him. Jesus told Thomas you have seen me therefore you have believed, but blessed are those who hasn't seen but still believed, I'm sure the same goes for feeling. I'm not saying, you can't feel God's presence at all because there are times when I feel it, and there are times I don't but your faith there is based on believing God is there even when you feel nothing. Even Jesus felt this when he was on the cross he felt God had forsaken him, but God got him through it. I don't know if you are speaking of not feeling God's love or, speaking about relationships. When it comes to God's love it was already demonstrated on the cross, Christ wasn't just beaten and nailed to the cross he took the entire wrath of God that was meant for us that was his perfect love for you and everyone that came into repentance. Even if you have nothing in this life rest in the fact, that you have the most important thing In your life, the son. One thing that is lost in the modern world is true gospel, and the truth is that we will not live our best life now, our best life comes when Jesus comes back which is pretty soon. It sounds to me, you are going through spiritual warfare, the devil is a clever foe, if you have any weaknesses he will try to break you down because he knows he's toast and he wants everybody to go down with him. To beat him you have to put on the full armor of god, which is the word of god. When Jesus was tempted he used the word of god because the word is power. For the fact that you been having this feeling, for 16 years and still haven't been broken just shows God is with you because, you can't do that alone. Just take that feeling and give it to God and just let it go and ask him to replace it with the holy spirit. Any doubts you have give it to god because victory is yours through Jesus and you have eternal life and dwell on that when you worship and remember all things work for the good for those who love the lord. Sorry for going on and on, I did the best I could to explain things, which I'm not good at, hopefully this helps if you are still having troubles. God bless.
My best friend recommended me some Bethel church songs and then I came across this song. I was at that time overwhelmed with university and it seemed that my life was heading nowhere; I considered ending my life once a week. However, he kept telling me to turn back to HIm, even though I was still confused to why God would even love someone like me. I denied His love until one day, I decided to try and embrace it. I listened to this song, and I was utterly moved-- as if something inside of me is shaking. Listening to this song definitely made me understand that indeed "I will build my life upon Your love." It's as if through this song I could really feel that God is telling me that I will be okay.
I'm so glad that my best friend was always there for me, and I'm very thankful that God is patient enough to wait for me to return :) I'm still in the process of learning; I hope I can fully devote my life to Him and only Him.

Next we place knowledge which refers the knowledge of God so we are adding desire to do good to knowing the one who is good. This helps foster self-control and as you exercise your newfound self-control you develop perseverance and that is what produces godliness. Only after you have built those in order can you truly develop brotherly kindness and the love which Christ demonstrated throughout his life and ultimately on the cross.

Amanda is my favorite Bethel artist ever. I just connect to her so much. She is the reason for why I showed interest in joining my youth group's Student Worship Team and be a worship leader. I really like the sensitivity of this cover of the song. The volume dynamics are enjoyable because they address the respective highs and lows of this song, the worship of God’s glory, and then the soft, tender, and subtle sound that I feel acknowledges that “you’ll be weak and beat down sometimes, and in those times, it’s okay to feel what you’re feeling, and you will eventually be brought up again with the help of God”. The drum beat seems to often be syncopated compared to the original, which shows more of the open-sounding music. It might not be as energetic as the original, but it clearly wasn’t intended to be; it was intended to be soothing and comforting. A great example of the value to be found through the feminine creation, as opposed to the strictly masculine creation. Each has their respective strengths and weaknesses, which further shows how they’re designed for each other, to compliment each other, and for each to become whole only by forming a union with the other.
