Very helpful video. I am in UK and have a 2006 Discovery 3. I repeated the steps several times (on ThinkDiag) but that error cleared for a split second and returned. Then at 5:50 you mentioned going into "Set/unset Air Suspension Geometry Set-up". So I tried this, went through the on-screen prompts and the error cleared ! Thank you.
Very helpful. With an IcarSoft. I used the "Set/unset Air Suspension Geometry Set-up" Did the Manufacturese/Freeze frame modena nd returned it to the Normal Tolerance. The MIL is gone.
@@raiku2d835 I have this fault after working on my suspension and lift the car. Tried calibration on icarsoft tool but didn't help. How you did on yours?
After having this light on for the last 6 months (came on after wheel alignment), taking it too a 4x4 specialist and not knowing why this was happening. I watched this then borrowed a mates diagnostic tool (mine wouldn't work) I've finally sorted the suspension light. This is a perfect video!! Cheers
Wooo GOSH this is the problem I have been passing through for the past 2 month and I already change all the air suspension machines and ballon including the level censor and module
Thank you @Jamesparks, great video! I have an 2006 RR hse and for some reason my thinkdiag can't exit from calibration mode. I went through the process multiple times. The car did came out of an alignment, and the technician did try to level the suspension prior to it. Afterwards the car gave me the fault code. Any advice? Maybe look at another menu option?
If you check the status of the RLC module it will tell you what mode it is in (manufacturing, tight tolerances, etc.) and assuming the module is not itself the problem, you may need to try other options to put it back into normal mode.
My GAP tool did not fix my issue. My initial problem is none of my 2 new compressors will not kick on. What I've learned is, if you have this problem, your control module is the culprit. I am in the process of getting a new control module on ebay. Make sure the part mumbers match your non working control module since sellers do not know if it is for an AMK or Hitachi. Just throwing this out there.
You can still switch from a Hitachi compressor to an AMK, but there is a software flash required to do so, which your IID tool will be able to perform using GAP’s Fastlane service. I haven’t done this myself but this is a known ‘gotcha’ with doing compressor replacements / upgrades. SDD can do it too.
Great video man! I am experiencing issues on my 07 LR3. After doing an angle steering sensor, did the calibration with an Autel DS 708 and now my controllers aren’t communicating. Could I be in the same boat that I’m not back in NORMAL MODE? If so, can you point me towards the correct scan tool. Thank you so much and keep the videos coming!!
This video is dealing with the C1A00-54 code specific to the Ride Level Control module, is that the same code you're seeing? The menu I show in this video might slightly vary from tool to tool, but you should be able to use it to find the right Special Function option in your own diagnostic tool.
This code came up after changing both front hight sensor and doing a recalibration, ive gont through the steps light goes off for a split second then back on again fault coming up Ride level control module help please
I own 07 land rover lr3 i got faults on height senors after changing all control arms , i replaced both front height senors , still won't air up i also replaced air compressor and suspension control module near air compressor now i got these codes C1A08-1C means pressure sensor supply general electrical failure circuit voltage out of range (2A) . Next fault code C1A20-64 means pressure increase too slow when filling reservoir algorithm base failure signal plausibility falure (AB) what is this drama i feel i own a possessed land rover lr3 , i never own a vehicle that when you fix something or upgrade a part it throws a fault code . Omg 😮
What’s the cause of the ride level control module not communicating I have a 2006 Range Rover Sport the icon is red replaced the ride level module it starts and runs but the suspension won’t do anything wondering if you need to reprogram that module for it to work properly thanks
You mention that the GAP tool will not do this , is this right, as it’s the only tool I have . I have the same problem , replaced rear level sensor , recal the height , now the code!
The Gap IIDTool should automatically take it out of the calibration / freeze mode mode once it has completed the process, yes, but it should allow you to check and see what mode the RLC module is in and reset it if needed.
I have a 2006 rrs supercharged... My car was fine and out of boredom i selected calibrate anti roll option then i got e 7 error code and my red suspension light is on... Everything still works ie suspension goes up an down etc but now the red light stays on and fault code C 1 A00-54 - Control module - System programming failure - missing calibration (AB)... 😮... Any advice please 🙏
Oof. Never just run calibration functions out of boredom. 😆 You'll need to run through the calibration process completely to resolve the issue, and I am unfamiliar with the anti-roll calibration process myself.
I'm using a ThinkDiag OBD diagnostic tool with the ThinkDiag+ app on Android. There's a new version, the 'ThinkDiag 2' but I don't think it's necessary to upgrade unless you plan on working on 2022+ model year vehicles.

Thanks, I also had the same problem, and was solved by doing the "Set/unset Air Suspension Geometry Set-up", you are a life saver

very important, after calibrating the suspension, you also need to calibrate the steering wheel and headlights
You are a genius! I have been running through fuses etc wiring, the lot. Thanks for this info, All the way from Scotland!

I am gonna try this tomorrow. Just bought a 2007 LR3 and that code was on when I got it.

Hey awsome video, nice detailing. I have this issue.
Will my vehicle go into limp mode while this light is on and i can get booked into a garage??
No limp mode, but it won’t let you adjust suspension height until you put the module back to the normal operating mode.
@@TheJamesicle its still like this now but drives fine and no limp mode. Only light is on

Hi mate great video I want to try this as I have same problem , what diagnostics tool are u using ?
I’m using a ThinkDiag.
Question, how or where did you get the airplay in your car?
It's a NavTool unit; I have another video on my channel showing it here: th-cam.com/video/VZWHEfWtyPw/w-d-xo.html
I have same problem
And I do this proces
And it's coming back after 5 seconds
Can someone help please

How about manufacturing mode at the top.
How about it? What option you need to use depends how the vehicle got into calibration mode to begin with.
Hi what diagnostics program are you using please Sir
I’m using a ThinkDiag.

I’ve done all this with the same tool and my light keeps coming back on after 2 mins
Unfortunately then your issue is elsewhere in the system.
What obd and app are you using?

How did you get carplay in your RRS?
I made a video about that: th-cam.com/video/VZWHEfWtyPw/w-d-xo.html
What scanner are you using
I use a ThinkDiag.
Tried this it deleted for seconds then appears agin …. Heeeeeeelp please

more diagnostic machine you use
