One of my favorite thing about watching top pipers play is how they start off their sets. In Mr. Armstrong's case, he holds the bag at the right pressure to get that great gargling sound from his drones, then when he's ready he blows right through that to the "clean" sound. Thanks for posting this!
Hello Guy I used to have a good set of pipes To get a good clean tone like that requires Several things. 1 reed setup How strong your chanter reed is 2. Having the drones set to match the chanter at the right amount of pressure. It’ takes practice to get it to suit your playing style. Me I use to have my pipes at a most comfortable pressure then a gut buster reed
