    The new version of PlusSpec called PlusDesignBuild leaves this version for dead

    Hello I have one question about this plug in. Is it possible after drawing this to import it in Revit and keep all the data? Also how good is this plug in for drawing curved surfaces (for example skatepark structures like half pipes, bowls etc.)?

      +Domen .Stražar PlusSpec automatically associates an IFC category with walls, floors, structure, doors windows and more, you can then update the IFC properties with information that may be applicable to the products or the project. I would then export IFC model and all of the information will be in Revit. You will however lose the parametric ability to change to the model and also textures do not transfer yet colours do. You will have to use Revit tools to make changes to geometry. If you have IFC 4 you may be able to do some type of parametrics yet I have not tried that. let us know how you go. BTW we have some very powerful functionality coming available in the next few weeks. Now is a great time to subscribe to our channel

    5 years on and this Plugin has been constantly updated with VDC problem-solving features, we look back and smile at its humble beginnings. There is a new version coming and it's comprehensive plusspec.com/virtual-design-and-construction-vdc-software/

    You an Ozzie where are you located. Using Sketchup to create prefab system. How would Plusspec go with a prefab system

    • @rubysketch
      @rubysketch 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good day mate, we are based in north west Sydney. PlusSpec has a lot of customisation tools that can help create a prefabricated system. We recommend using our 14 day free trial here buy.plusspec.com/trial-registration . Would that be of assistance?

    • @suchdevelopments
      @suchdevelopments 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the call. I will download the trial version then a month then go to a full plan. We are flat out at the moment we are organising for SUCH Developments official launch. It is haveing the time to get it working the way we want. Once we have it up and running we will borrow some of your time. Will discuss when we get to that stage. I like it that you have been working with one manufacturer who is using CNC

    My understanding of 4D is integration of 3D with time schedule You have not shown this here ??

    • @rubysketch
      @rubysketch 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Thomas Hadley good point Thomas, although you may not have noticed that the job is organised in number sequence that would be associated with a schedule by the project manager. It is visual 4d. I assume your observation relates to associating geometry with a calender date or gantt chart.

      yes the accepted definition of 4D is a schedule/date timeline with progress of the construction over time displayed .

      Thomas Hadley in the new version of Plusspec, time has been allocated to tasks and there is more to come from the project management side.
