I've owned a Honda Motocompacto for 3 months and found it very helpful in both fun and functional ways. This is my ownership experience with specific examples of how the Motocompacto has come in handy and aided my transportation needs.
The real benefit of this electric scooter is the ease of transporting it in a car or SUV, allowing you take it with you (or just leave it in your car) on the off-chance it might serve you. Unlike strapping a bike or large e-bike to your vehicle, this one can just lay flat in the trunk or cargo area.
At $995, and with a 3-hour charge time for 12 miles of range, it adds flexibility to your transportation needs. Or can just be fun to ride if you want to go for a short local trip.

Hilarious the Dude is doing a review of the slowest vehicle EVER in front of the fastest vehicle EVER, a Demon 170.

I looked at one at a honda dealership in feburary or so. Didn't buy it, but came real close. My only real complaints are the seat is a lil rough (for me personally), the power could be a hair better, and like you said some sorta suspension. Sure the suspension is adding weight but thats why we gotta put the bigger batteries and power behind it. I live in an area that has some big hills, so every single time I'd have to walk the dam thing outta my neighborhood for 3/4 a mile. But once im out and about it would be smooth sailing. Maybe if a v2 comes out with more power i'll look into it.

That’s what I’m hoping for - an updated model with more power (torque, really), plus some kind of minimalist suspension. Even if it gained 5-8 pounds it’d be worth it.

They are just goofy-yet-functional enough to be a great item to have around. So easy to use in so many situations

Very cool. I bet it's ideal in a large business complex (flat and smooth)... less so for across-town travel.

It’s a bummer that my specific neighborhood is pretty hilly, but in relatively flat areas (like Coronado Island) it works great. And it’s easy to push up a hill if needed.

That would be fun. I've seen a motorized cooler that stores drinks and provides low-speed, one-man transportation like the Motocompacto.
