I grew up listening to the records, but have since found the live performances are different and for the most part better!! I just love this song by Brian with Freddie's vocals! Amazing!! Thank you!
If you want to hear some really breath-taking interplay between Freddie's piano & Brian's guitar, check out White Queen, live at Hammersmith Odeon. It is incredibly beautiful, & one of my all time favorites.
I totally love this song. Thank you for your reaction to it! For a heart rendering reaction to Freddies vocals please react to You Take My Breath Away Hyde Park 1976. Amazing!
❤️❤️❤️❤️ what else can we say. Amazing performance by the whole band. Love of my life, play the game & BoRap from this show are also outstanding. Oh and dragon attack, how could I forget?...you need a cigarette after that one lol.
What a beautiful and powerful song! This must Queen's way of playing the children's game "musical chairs", taking it to the ultimate level! And the handoffs between places and instruments are flawless. One of the beauties of a live performance is know for sure who is playing what at any given point in a song.
This is one of my favorite Queen songs, hard to choose with so many great ones, off of "the Game" album. I actually got to see this done live back in 1980 during the opening leg of the US part of "the Game" tour at Madison Square Garden in NYC. Great show! This gave me chills once again, like being in the Garden all over again.
Yes, this song is a gem, especially live. The studio version is also good, but not as outstanding. Also heartbreaking: "It's A Hard Life" either the quite fanciful official video version, or live at Rock In Rio 1985. Also great piano/guitar part. Both studio and live version: Wonderful "operatic" intro.
Just this very minute I saw a TV commercial of a cartoon of Freddie's mouth and mustache singing Somebody To Love, with the message being: Alexa, play me some Queen! I usually strongly dislike ads, but this one I enjoyed!
@ no Freddie and Mary split up in 1976 This song as nothing to do with them

@@davethomas6216 Your argument would make sense if the song had been written BEFORE 1976/77, not after. Example: Freddie's death: 1991; "No-One But You (Only The Good Die Young) - Brian May: 1997. Anyway, i believe in this POSSIBILITY, you don't. Peace!
@ lve no idea what you are talking about I never said it was about freddie and mary You commented that was a rumour you heard read what ever I told you what the song was about I'm not replying any moor
Freddie's voice was always marvelous, but he may have been at his best in this time period. Just fabulous!
Exercise in free love, Freddie Mercury. No vocals just tones that he made, perfection in my mind!!!!!!

Superman wears a Freddie shirt under his cape❤️

Yes "Dragon Attack from Montreal!
@@michellemoss4635 Dragon Attack: A catchy bass line holding together a wild jam session... 😂
One of my favourite songs penned by Brian. Another amazing song of his is Its Late - studio version.
Fabulous performance by Freddie, but did you notice the multi-multi-multi talented Brian May on the piano!!!!!

It’s amazing that Brian can play just like Freddie. I’m sure Freddie taught Brian personally to play in his unique style.
It's a hard life live is also really good don't know the concert it was from though
Brian also wrote this song!
You should react to Play the game also from montreal another killer performance.
Definitely. Also outstanding vocals.

Rumor: this song is about Freddie and Mary Austin breakup.
Sorry but it has nothing to do with Freddie and Mary
It's about a couple Brian knew
Who were splitting up
That's what inspired Brian to write
This
@@davethomas6216 Yes, just a rumor. Not confirmed, but the possible couple very close to Brian: Freddie and Mary (source: books about Queen songs).
