I happened upon your channel when the tornado hit your property. I prayed for your family. I’ve been watching your channel ever since then. I’m a 65 year old black woman living in a big city in Florida. I have nothing in common, however, I applaud the knowledge you have operating your farm with your dad and friends. I have to hear how you troubleshoot those machines! I’m amazed at what farmers do for our country. Go figure.😉
It is great to have you aboard in learning about agriculture. I’ve been watching this channel since they started it almost. This family is fantastic. They are a team.
Welcome aboard Gail. I'm also from a big city in Florida but grew up in a small farm in NY. I love this channel, and have learned more about modern day farming than I ever knew. Zach and his family are great people and inspire generations young and old about where their food comes from. I hope you stay along for the ride they bring us each week.
A great channel and family where all walks can meet and share time, i'm a Scottish guy who emigrated to the middle of Canada to farm. see you in the comments Gail
There are all kinds of songs, about all kinds of people, places and things. But there's only one song about moving to the country and eating lots of peaches
Your acting skills always leave me baffled. All the co stars.. all the extras .. A FREAKIN TaLkInG dOgGo!?!?!? Each season of this show never gets old!!!
*Hey Zach, I rarely watch a long video on TH-cam but since knowing your channel, I almost never miss a video. You are a patient man and I am impressed with the amount of work you do to run your farm.*
Farming sure has come a long way since I was a kid (way long ago). I didn't live on a farm but in a farming community and while in high school, I worked for local farmers on weekends and summers. I remember spending many hot, sweaty, dusty hours shoveling corn from a truck into a sheller. Don't know if it still applies but back in the day, in mid Missouri, during harvest time, farm kids were automatically excused from school. Love what you are doing and the fact that you are getting your children involved. Thanks for great videos.
"Soooy un perdetor. I´m a loser baby, so why don´t you kill me?" Did a voluntary year working with handicapped people, mostly deaf and blind and I get daily practice trying to communicate in a hall the size of a football field with cnc machines on full bore. Feels like cheatin on that challenge. 😁 Absolutely love that song.
amazing how much has changed in 65 years. i remember being so happy when we finaly got our one row picker fixed and didn't have to shuck by hand. the year before my 2 brothers and i had almost 60 acres to pick when it broke. didn't get done till january.

Zach don’t let Hollywood ever steal you away.. we love you in this role…. You sense of humor is perfect, your mechanical and software ability is fantastic.. and you are a wonderful family man. You have been blessed..keep going with the videos. They make my day..
I’m a Sydney Australian city slicker and I have no idea how I found your channel and half the time I have no idea about what you’re talking about but I love it . Thanks for taking the time xox
Beck, Loser - awesome song. Never forget the first time I heard that song. It was brand new, I was riding Chicago ambulance on a night shift treating a woman that was stabbed in the abdomen by her girlfriend. Good times lol
Hey, The yield calibration can be made manually as you do. But you must remember to use your calibrations after they are done. Go in to the advanced settings for the calibration and then check the boxes to get the calibration accuracy. Thanks for the good videos
It was good to see the last two videos that you get frustrated when things don't go right. It's nice to let people know that farming is not a cakewalk all the time but you do get frustrated with the equipment is that the equipment always doesn't do what you like it to do so I hope you have better days with your planner use it as a fertilizer spreader take care and have a good one one farmer to another
Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable. First of all. Sending Best Wishes to Onyx for a Happy Birthday!!’ Have a great day and enjoy your birthday!!!!! Second. Thanks to Becky for kicking out the harvest videos. Appreciate that Becky. Busy busy time for all of you right now. You did good with the strip tiller again Zach. You are catching on to it. Like your new corn head. Seems to be working fine except for a few adjustments. Good deal. Now you have the dryer going ok. Should be ready for full steam ahead on corn harvest. Go get em. All for now. You all take care and be safe. Looking forward to the next video. Thanks for everything Zach. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Hopefully there’s an opportunity to get Becky in the combine with Zach at some point this corn season. I really enjoy seeing them interact together. They wound up like teenagers last time.
It's absolutely amazing how hard farmers work to feed millions of people they'll never meet yet no matter the weather they're working at getting something done so they can. I grew up in the first small farm town north of Flint Michigan and many of my friends were farmers. You can tell farm kids from non farm kids because they kinda disappear during planting and harvesting season. Back then they were allowed to partly home school at those times once they reached their teen years.
Great video as usual, always love harvesting videos and watching onyx run the grain cart. For a young man his age doing that, should serve as a roll middle for all other young men living on a farm that they can do anything they want to do if they just do it. Happy late Birthday onyx hope you had a great day
The only thing that would make the snout lights cooler is if they were red/green, like navigation lights on a boat/aircraft. I'm sure you could change the LEDs when you have nothing better to do 😁
Seeing issues like this with your 1910 is exactly why we’re talking about getting a Landoll 5531 instead of an air drill for our operation, just hoping for less headaches with a basic grain drill for our wheat and soybeans. At least, a different kind of headache. We’ll see what the wait time for one is after we finish up corn.
Harvest time. Nothing like it. Seems more satisfying and pulls together all the hard work during the rest of the year. However....tillage seems darn satisfying too. Keep the videos coming Zach.
Anybody else chomping at the bit to find out how the new air system for the dryer sounds and works???? Come on Zack I had hopes on this one!! Another great video bud thanks!
Before you make a decision on a header. Make sure to try a Macdon Fd2 with the triple reel. We had it up against a honey bee and we liked it better and it’s built a little thought then a honey bee
That cold smoke start on the harvester reminded me of the train locomotives we used to have in the UK, they would take half an hour of turning over, popping smoke rings out now and then amongst the grey and white fog!
Happy Birthday Onyx. God Bless you. May you grow in wisdom, grace and holiness. Sure do wish I could be a grain cart driver. Keep up all the good work on the farm, the race track, and all your other projects. Love that we get to watch you grow and learn. I'm excited to see what the next year brings for you and your family.
We run intelligent ag blockage on our drill. The sensors often just get coated in fertilizer dust and you have to take them off and tap the build up out or scrape it out (gently!) With a flat head screwdriver. I'll often just jump out and tap on all of them on a semi regular basis.
Becky.... Thank You for putting out another GREAT video! Harvest 2022 is well underway! I hope the weather stays nice so Zach and the gang can finish up the Harvest and get the fall tillage done. Until your next video ~~~Stay safe, healthy and happy! 🍁🌽🌽 🚜
Have to admit, I say a prayer every time you get into the strip till recurring nightmare. Now, I want it to work out as much as you do. It really does make a lot of sense for your operation.
I'm with you Zach, everyone needs to subscribe so poor poor deprived Anna can feel the Masters love and take a ride with Him. Also I believe you were singing "I ain't going up on Broke Back Mountain" sung by Willie Nelson. 👍😁
I’ve been a fan of your channel for 2 years and I’ve seen you and your farm evolve you have become my favourite TH-camr thanks for documenting your life
I dunno, seems like the more sophisticated the dang machinery gets, the less you can do with it. Too many things to fail. You really have to have your head on straight to keep up with it all. You are doing great Zack. And I saw that proud grin when you were talking about Onyx and his work on his machine. That really feels great, doesn't it!! It IS great. You are building great people in ALL your children and I personally thank you for that. It is making MY world that much better. Keep it up.
Well on the old stuff you knew what was causing the issues and could fix it quick on the go or more permanently. Now the computer is just screaming at you that something is wrong and that's about the same as you know yourself. Thats like a million times more annoying.
The ROI with the lights on your end snouts is not calculated in dollars. It calculated by the number of people who say “Wow that’s a really neat feature! “ 😂
When ever I see you running the strip tillage I get all nervous. Quite the thriller you got going there :) I just really want it to work I guess. Happy farming from a Swedish viewer!
Zach you will fight forever with that jd air cart! It’s the metre’s themselves, it’s grinds the fert! Get a bourgault air cart, especially a 6550 or 6450 still ground driven/ hydraulic driven! And can’t beat the metering system on the bourgault cart!
As much as I feel the pain with the striptiller .... I had a great laugh (sittin' on the couch 🙂) And I loooooved the proud-daddy-smile when you talked about Onyx working on his bike 😊
We had a really hard time keeping cob out of our sample too this year. Either was leaving corn on the cobs or breaking them up enough to get little chunks in the sample. Took a while to find that happy medium (especially since changing the cylinder clearance on the old Gleaners requires wrenches). Seems to be a thing this year. Hard shelling corn maybe? Also, I'm going to take a stab at your lip sync challenge and say Loser by Beck?
Core8 the corn star on their case they have a wind system and it picks up most of the beans. And they're running a John Deere that they're borrowing from someone they don't have a wind system on that and that one leaves a lot of beans in the field
Zach, I heard you say in a previous video that lining up the fertilizer truck spout with the fertilizer cart can be a bit of a challenge. Ever thought of just fitting a little flexible extension to the end? That way it could be placed deep into the hole without causing too much of a mess (that's what she said...). Keep 'em coming and thanks Becky! Loving the content!
Ah the smell of deisel smoke in the morning means success. A little hooch keeps things balanced, you wouldn't want the planet too damn cold. Those mile high glaciers destroy everything in their path. Saw the harvest moon the night before last, almost like you could reach up and grab it. Good video Zach, happy harvesting.
Never miss a video. Really enjoy watching. I just remember all the trouble that you had last year and taking a lot of extra time. Not wishing any trouble but it's sure showing that I really don't need much of this new technology. Wishing you the best!
I think your DAD fully understood the header plug thing, he had my DUHH look. BEER CAN ears😂. Thanks for letting us come along! OLD SCHOOL tee shirt and your STRIPP TILLING 😂😂😂😂😂.
Like I emailed you in the spring when you were having trouble with sensors and connectors... Get a bottle of Stabliant 22A contact enhancer. It will fix your intermittent connector problems!
Corn and tillage is my favorite time! LET'S DO THIS!!! (Well, you guys are doing it. I'm just watching and voting on getting Slap's car on the cover of the calendar.)
It might have something to do with the moisture content of your crops if the crop is damp the crop will weigh more and if the crop is dry it will weigh less that’s my guess is anyway

Of course I have.
@@davidshaffer9291 Yup

I’m a physician and I’m saving to buy my own farm and throw it all away and be a farmer.
Hats off to Becky for banging out these videos. That is a huge amount of editing work while managing a family during harvest. Impressive.
Please...This is what a good farm wife does. Now chop chop and get me some viddles cooking women 😋
I kid, I kid...
I am more impressed with Becky for being able to get through the silent (just for our ears, poor Becky) songs!
The real hero to this operation and harvest every year is Mrs Millennial Farmer.
Your dad is a great guy. He is so humble. Thanks for another great video.
Yes, he has a great knowledge of agriculture but is always humble, which is what I like.
I love seeing Dad on the video. Watching him and Zach interact is cool. And I am sure Grandpa likes seeing Onyx out there.
Your dad is great and JIM you know those boys ran the town back in the day.
3:30 - "ENGAGE THE SEPARATOR!" - That got me laughing good.
Also, Beck - "Loser" -- definitely a catchy tune for any of us Millennials.
That hole bit was jokes.
Zack, he's a funny guy!
As my neighbor would say sing potatoes and watermelons
There are all kinds of songs, about all kinds of people, places and things.
But there's only one song about moving to the country and eating lots of peaches
Damn it! I thought I had it until I looked through comments! Great tune!
You know it’s crazy but when I see a 26 minute video I get so happy especially during harvest or planting
I rarely watch a long video but Zach's farming videos changed me.

I guessed it, too. My hubby didn't believe me so he came to comments to see. Boom! Mama knows music.
Good call and great song!
