Damn you Ben!! I’d been quietly starting Hewett for weeks and now you let the cat out the bag!!
Love the take on Martin. He’s the been the square peg in the round pole that’s stuffing around my structure and I’m much more comfortable with the fallen premo mid
If he doesn't get DEF status of doesn't go well the first few weeks, it would be a really awkward ownership
Thoughts on Max Holmes?
Hey Ben thoughts on Sheezel, compared to the Short one?
I like Sheezel but if McKercher holds his own, they might run Sheezel MID or FWD or anywhere the kid is that good. He's not going to price me out IMO so he's a wait and see for me.
Not keen to fade Daicos with the same reasoning as Martin? Plays the same teams in the first month.
Great video Ben! I really like how you show your team, talk through the picks but also your debates between players and structure.
I really don’t want to look like I’m copying, but you’ve really talked me into someone like Hewett & Heeney. The potential to trade Heeney before his first bye and bank the cash for an Uber premium is something I hadn’t thought of. I did look at Hewett but can see the options now to sideways him his those other midpricers are doing well.
I think I was stuck on not changing much as I was very bullish on my midfield 3 of Bont, Butters and LDU.
Great stuff mate love the Hewitt idea! Wines, Nic Martin or Newcombe who would you select and who do you think will average the most? Thanks legend
I like Wines for the early part of the year and his ability to maybe make 100k. If you want a keeper I'd say Martin because of DPP. Newcombe I think is a great player but not sure he's got consistency yet
I like the team its looking good like thats it bit different to the rest
I was listening to swizzers before and liked the idea of hogan to mckay (after his bye) but also trying to decide if im better off to have short in my backline having 4 premos in the
Would be great to get your thoughts on it
If i go the hogan and mckay route ill have 125k left and fyfe otherwise if i went short id have to downgrade to mannagh and have exactly $0 left
Swiz liked that until I showed him that Hogan hyperextended his knee with 90sec to go. Not sure I'd wanna risk that now. He's probably sore going into 2 easy match ups
@@SuperCoachInsider thanks I didn't know that very much appreciated
Interesting choices, Ben. I'm glad your team doesn't look like those other cookie-cutter teams. More reason to watch how your team develops throughout the year. I'm not starting Daicos because of Collingwood's tough fixture before the bye. I'll target him after the bye. Heeney always looks good at the start of a season but could be a trap. So, can't have him. I love the rest of your team, though. Good luck.
I'm so tempted to fade Daicos for Houston based on that draw, and then target Daicos after his first bye. The idea being to hope for a tagged game. Problem is his bad games are like 85-90 and Houston's bad games are 50-60. The winner will fade Daicos. Bont or Gawn IMO.
@@SuperCoachInsider Fair enough. Although, I like the Hewett pick, I've got Bonner at M6 who's 145K cheaper with 8% ownership. With that price differential you could upscale Gawn to English to give yourself a point of difference in the ruck line instead of the cookie-cutter combo of Gawn and Grundy.
Harry McKay for Carlton, any good?
Only when it comes to winning clutch games haha. I think he's great in draft leagues but as a key forward, he'll always be up and down for supercoach
Why you are not brining Lyons as a Brisbane fan?
I'd need to see teams but Lyons could be impacted by Robertson who wasn't in. Could also make him a sub candidate. He's one of rather watch a week and bring in after bye if needed
Dawson vs Butters? Great insight!
I love Dawson but I think Port have the easier draw and more home games to start. I love Dawson's durability and watching him play so I'm keen to get him
I been waiting for your final teams 1001. I have mine 1 week out....So Ben ..you right - no Big 4 but i have only Dawson because . Go for the cheapie route. Im there # Sorry about last years bad bad Richmonds advice and I have Houstan for 4 home games at least.
Well, mamy many rookies this year to have ..so thats my advice...Lets go
But don't follow me,..i could be wrong but im going the rookies investment upgrade
C'mon Ben ' this year you seem confuse..u should be more solid in ya decision..or u may be tearing your hair out after Rd 1. Bro have fun....put guys you like 2nd ...im not going flanders..80-90 i think' Dimmas in charge now, of tour happy with 90 in the forward then yes..but i have Jackson > Rowell & Touk get most possesions
Good luck
I'll be much less confused when teams are announced haha. I feel like I'm getting closer to having my R1 side. Need Thu night teams to really feel settled
@@SuperCoachInsider i mean we know that Coach are seeing that you need to inject youth consistly..clubs that take risk for reward has a upside and sometimes work if the right coaching mentor such as Lions, GWS and Collingwood...anyways Bevo and his garbage trashy average player recruiting panel - might acrually work thia year # hopedully the Bont deserves so much better support. So i feel the youngster will all get a go, except i just waiting for Geelongs old fellas policy..But hey 2 days Bro. Better feel excited than worrying and stressing too much. You know all this..juat hols your nerves...Me too. Thats why i believe u should be decisive. Don't hesitate This week. Its time to take this comp by tha... nut sack and squeeze really hard and maybe luck might xome your way...u don't want ro have another season of ( i wish i had this & this player instead) be aggressive..theres always next year. Its not the last Competion year...but i know it sure feels like it every year
I really like the look of you team. How about coffield to Phillips gets you English
Yeah I'm certainly close to finalising a few little things, but overall I'm pretty happy with my strategy at least. just wanting on teams and some final coach comments etc
Wines or hewett ?
Wines for the early draw and the no bye
Jackson for 6 to 8
Fitness coach at Freo said plan is to have Shrek back out there playing in 3-4 weeks. If it was 6-8 Jackson would be in my side
What's the SC insider group code!?😍
304030 group code
Heenay 1 game trap
Maybe, but the role is there, he's banked a 144 into his price cycle, and he's a FWD where they all suck. I could use him to a Dawson or Clarry if the role changes when Parker and Adams are back
Heeney’s been a top 6 forward for multiple years before so I don’t think it’s a pick worth stressing about, especially with the midfield upside 👍🏼
who scores more butters and Nic Martin or do I go pods Clayton Oliver and yeo?
I'd want to see more out of Oliver first. His lower first game will mean his price can come down a little easier too. I'd be looking at his post his bye
lazzaro or windsor?
I'm leaning Lazzaro ATM.
Windsor got 58 on a small ground and was caught holding the ball (never saw him coming) which cost a goal so this could be about his floor. Job security is great as Melbourne are DESPERATE for pace and the next 8 games are all at the MCG and Adelaide Oval.
@@jonasgoat9538 I don't doubt he could be a good option and he has certainly showed enough in glimpses. I'm just not sure I'm going there. I may end up just covering bases with 4 expensive rookies and just see where the next couple of games end up
