    I'm almost done applying the decals to this kit. Can't wait to top coat it! I initially used the green metallic stickers on this kit but wound up removing them and filling in the parts with metallic green Gundam EX markers. Looks much better!

    A newbie on Gunpla here. Just bought this kit on our local hobby store and haven’t started building it. I Was worried what matte topcoat to use on this model since there are plenty of brands. Good thing i saw the Tamiya TS-80 comment which was a life saver. Love the video bro keep it up! Maybe next time add some voice and some info to it. ♥️

    did you have any issues with cracking parts? And do you only use black liner for all of your builds?

    • @Armstudiogunplaspeedbuild
      @Armstudiogunplaspeedbuild  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      From my experience, most cracks happened when the paint stuck in seam line rather than panel line. When the paint stuck in seam line, it takes longer time to dry which means more time to erode plastic. It could happen when you do panel line after assemble. It is better to do panel line before assemble for some parts. if you are not sure, just do panel line on each part first then assemble later. I use only black.

    Did you have any trouble sliding in out the shield out of his gaunlets? Because theres a waterslide decal where you connect the shield and maybe it will rub off or has the topcoat protected it?

    • @Armstudiogunplaspeedbuild

      I just take the shield off first time. They are all fine. I also concerned about this point when i connected the shield so, i actually didnt slide it all the way to his gaunlet. Yes, topcoat protects decals but topcoat can be scratched as well so, I just hang the shield like so.

    Can you tell me how to properly paint the eyes? From the looks of it you used a Tamiya clear green paint, let it dry, and paint it with a basic black color? Then let it dry, and carefully use a q-tip to remove the black paint from the raised edges. Did you use a Tamiya thinner or will 99% isopropyl alcohol will do? Wouldn't that remove the green too?

    • @Armstudiogunplaspeedbuild

      The goal is to make sure topcoat cover all area. If topcoat on whole kit, it will be difficult to reach some hidden area and also it hard to turn it around. I think better spray by each section like head, arm, shoulder, leg etc.
