Pls more mpc beatmaking videos!! You are very talented. Those piano and string melos are just perfect and the bass too and very vibey. Just a sick beat💪💪💪
@@SampleGuruMusicLibrary Thanks man, the music videos led to the 3D, which led to a 6 figure design business. I need to get back to more beat videos. It was good chopping it up with ya in the emails.
+sinuous1 can't wait for it. But aye, its rare for people who I actually look for inspiration or ideas from reply to me so, I wanted to ask if it was possible to shoot you some questions about production while you're here?
1) How do you transfer your sample into the that synthesizer and out? 2) When you sequence your song with the MPC, how are you transferring the song out from the MPC? (for ex. to put into your laptop or phone)
+Eyesolato Ok word, to answer your questions this is my basic signal flow path. So I almost always sample from vinyl so I send my turntable audio into my EmuE6400 (Sampler/Synthesizer). I have that keyboard you see in the video and my MPC hooked up to my EmuE6400 via Midi cables. So I use the MPC just to sequence, the keyboard to play keys instead of pads, and the Emu to manage/shape my sounds and also where I sample/load up sound banks. Hope that makes sense pimpin?
MatrixMarc Thanks playa, I appreciate it! I got a 20 song free lp for download at sinuous.bandcamp.com give it a listen, it's got some cool joints. Peace
i just want everyone to know if you're gonna get an mpc u gotta do it right like this dude, mad mellow with swinging drums + a fat jar of bud to feed the beats
Idk if you ever plan on making movies but you sir have the perfect camera, lighting, and camera angles for a professional looking movie. I honestly thought I was watching a movie when this started.... Oh and nice beat too 😁
Thanks man, been busy finishing up my album and music video's. I am also a 3D artist to pay the bills, so I want to drop more video's soon. I post alot more beat video's on my Facebook page.
sinuous1 Wow, what a combination! Amazing video quality, when I saw the first scene, I was like watching the damn HD professional movie, haha. Keep it up! Beat is on point, classic.
stefanie perez I mainly use hardware gear, rather than software. I sample on a Emu Ultra sampler, and I sequence on a MPC 2000xl, both are shown in the video. Hope that helps, thanks for watching.
Sinuous1 I heard the maschine was nice but the Akai already has an interface and I'm kinda on a budget I'm not a big keys player just a few notes here some strings there type of guy.. If it can get me started and I feel the need to upgrade I might thanks for the info I appreciate it
Thanks man. Time flies. I've been making a bunch of new music, just need to find time to drop it. I also need to get back to doing these type of beat videos. I tend to drop more quick videos of my beats on FB and Instagram.
never made any music/beat whatsoever, just found out that Em (Rap God himself) said that uses MCP2000 and came to youtube to see whats that would look like. congrats, sir. you did a nice job. (= and you use anamorphic lenses, so, A++

Last night i came across this gem while i was smoking a j about to do the same cheers to all the budda smokers that have a thing for jazzy boom bap PEACE
@Sinuous1 I'm looking to get an Akai mpc soon quick question do you need computers n keyboards too or can you use the pads to play keys and strings? And can u import new sounds into the actual mpc if needed ?
jaimz Mack You can make beats solely with the MPC, but it is a percussion sampler not a melodic sampler, which means that the notes will not be layed out on the pads like they would on a piano. So if you play key's you might want to look into an old Akai S950, or an Emu Ultra with a midi controller keyboard. The Maschine is a pretty good piece of gear also.
This may sound a lil crazy asking but did u go to school to learn how to produce/make beats?? I've been saving up for n mpc and production software and stuff but was wondering if u went to school for that? Anyways awesome beat man
Not crazy at all, that's a valid question. No I never went to school for audio engineering or producing/beat making. However I did intern at Soundlogic studio for awhile. I also do CGI, and I'm selt taught in that as well. Peace
Hello budy, how are you ? Great beats. help me please. when I go sampler either the disk or the cf card, for example I like kick snare hihat etc ... signed on the pads ae and when I am going to put the samples and cutouts they enter the place where it is already signed (kick snare etc ... .) what am I doing wrong? thanks for listening
nice video mate. ive just picked up a 2000xl, but you made that shit look too easy!! did you chop the melodic sample on the mpc or do you load in the chops pre-sliced...? i'm struggling to come to terms with only having 32mb of internal memory, lol. love the beat though. keep it up.
Ryan Smith I use my MPC for just sequencing via MIDI. I do all my chopping and sampling on a Emu Ultra sampler(also in the video). That machine is much more powerful for non percussive sampling. Hope that answers your question. Cheers!
This beat is so smooth and Old School. Is there anyway I could drop a few verses on this beat for a non profit Soundcloud track? Or how much could I licence it for?
Sup g. I sold this beat already, but DM me, I sell exclusives that are really affordable. I don't do leases(Although maybe I should get with the times and lease haha) Holla whenever. Peace
That's all good yo, I thought you might have sold the exclusive already. I will for sure be DMing you for my own exclusive though cause your beats are tight. I'll holla later today to talk instrumentals. Easy
GREAT Video, man! May I ask what Swing Settings did you use on the MPC? Just bought one, after seeing some of your Videos and other channels! And this groove................... a dream!!THANK YOU!
Thanks man. Glad my music gave some inspiration. I actually turn timing/quantize completely off. I play my drums with those settings off, and if I need to adjust something that is off, I use the step time function to go in and shift anything that is needed. Hope that tip helps. Peace
RyNea Soul This video was not intended for them. Elliot happened to stumble upon it and show the part without the "medicine" not drugs...If I made this video strictly for the kids I wouldn't of vaped, but I didn't. Thanks for your concern haha
Hey man, i have a question. If you're using a sampler, how do you create changes throughout the track, instead of the same thing looping over and over? Do you just individual tracks and then sequence them in a software afterwards, like drum beat 1, drum beat 2, etc? Or verse, chorus... you get what im sayng
Your in luck, I"m actually working on a tutorial, and it should be done in the next 2 weeks. It's not a super long tutorial, but it breaks down alot of my process down.

I love how analog everything he uses is. I think it proves that you do not need all digital high end stuff to produce quality.
Respect due to the MPC2000XL! Dope beat and video. You were ahead of the time putting this one up homie.
Much appreciated my dude, I'm planning on releasing more uploads and new music this year finally ;)
Beautifully constructed and that's no exageration. Such a mellow vibe

great stuff ! nice breaks nice snappin snare ! bassline phat very very very nice !
Is this how they did it in the 90s? Is this how Dilla, 9th Wonder, Dj Premier etc made their beats? This way of doing things is amazing!
TheRealRedWolf Thanks man, I like to make beats the old school way haha.
9th Wonder also worked on fruity loops in his early shit
dilla used a mpc 3000 which is better in my opinion
@@yungcoetz1678 what do you prefer about the 3000?
Great stuff! I love this kind of sound.
