Excellent. Oh season 3, please be still my heart! Give us a good happy ever after! I hope so! For Charlotte sake as well as Alexander’s! Beautiful video Susan! Bravo! 👍👍❤️❤️
This song by Danny Gokey is a tear jerker. After being with his 1st wife for 12 years, she passed away about 4 weeks before he auditioned for American Idol. I love his songs and his heart for Jesus. And, I love HEYBOURNE!!! This song is perfect for them. Thanks Susan for adding this one to all the others you've done so well. CAN'T WAIT FOR SEASON 3!!!!!!

Perfect song Susan!!! Well done!!! I love Charlotte and Alexander's love story! Their journey to real love is ever so slow and yet with great expectancy! 🥰💕 Please keep your videos coming as we wait on Season 3!!!
Susan Firth, I can’t say enough about you. I cannot give you enough gratitude. I cannot adequately express how much your work has enriched my experience of Sanditon, how much it has dug emotions out of dungeons in my heart, how much I have cried and laughed and pondered because of it. Your work has made my emotions occupy me and my time, all to the detriment of the vacuuming and the laundry and all those other things. I started this season’s episodes with detachment, “Okay, so when IS this? I know it’s at least before we had cars. What was the date on that coffin? They must be kidding - it’s 1820?” Boy, was I off the mark. With my architect’s eye I wondered, “Hmm, what is that ballroom flooring material? Were tiles like that made in 1820? I bet the flooring on the set is actually just smooth painted concrete, though. Were they really able to make such elaborate wallpaper back then? How did all those clothes get made without sewing machines? Look at that classical detailing in the door trim…” Your work has jolted me from thinking about historical context to facing my raw emotions. You’ve caused me to follow a deeper arc of the Sanditon story, from this technical analysis to personal catharsis. This has been unexpected therapy for me, revealing my own buried pain from heartbreak and betrayal, thoughts of hugs I never got from my father, memories of my own confusion about being independent, a reminder that I still cannot forgive myself, and, with five brothers, so much sobbing from a pain I never knew I carried for the sister I never had. Because of your perspective, I see with clarity again the primordial power of love in our lives. I did not seek out or anticipate these reactions or the writing it inspired that I’ve shared. Your work has been a beautiful gift, and I thank you for that.
❤️❤️❤️ Oh my gosh, Mary, I hardly know what to say. I've always used writing for my own therapy, because putting things down on the page forces me to focus my disparate thoughts and feelings into something concrete. Then in June of 2020, I was in a group of fans from another show when someone asked me if I'd be willing to learn how to make videos. I figured, why not? and a whole new world was opened up to me. Using the words in songs I love (already very personal and emotional) to interpret the feelings of characters in a story became my new therapy. Every one of these songs describes some part of my own past relationships: regrets, joy, unrequited love, shared passion, loss and grieving, unrealized opportunities, hope for the future... you name it. And I've realized that when a show or movie is really good, and the acting is as good as it is on Sanditon, those truths become universal. You just put into words how deeply I also feel in making these videos. I sit in the dark with the words of the song on one side, and my palette of colors (video clips) on the other, and I put them together in a way that touches me. And I always hope it will touch others as well. I'm so glad to hear that it touches you. Thank you for expressing your thoughts so beautifully ❤️
To Mary, I just want to say how much I appreciate what you revealed about your raw emotions and about buried pain in your own life. You are so brave to express yourself as you did and we support you strongly as you come to these profound truths in your life. YES: Gratitude to Susan -- Absolutely!!! ❤💜💙💚💛🧡❤ And Mary, Gratitude to you, too -- ❤
@@maryossi8524 It sounds to me like you are learning so much and growing so much in the process -- again: Mary, you have courage. Hi Susan and Everyone, Susan, "Tell Your Heart to Beat Again" is another little masterpiece of a music video !!! Thank you SO MUCH !!! I saw below where there is a comment about you being awarded a TH-cam Oscar. I second that emotion completely !!!! You are keeping us together and you are giving us gifts all the time with these remarkably wonderful music videos ! (And please don't get me started on the Charlotte & Xander Playlist. I love all the music videos because they are all SENSATIONAL and I'll say it for the tenth time, the Playlists are just fabulous and great.) Susan, sending deep appreciation for all you do and your beautiful artistic sensibilities ! 😉💜💙💚💛🧡❤💯👏👏👏
I award you a TH-cam Oscar, Susan. Brilliant choice of song (as an 'oldie', virtually all of these songs are new to me) and immaculate editing to suit. On behalf of male fans, of whom few seem to join in these discussions, may I say that Charlotte looks absolutely gorgeous at 1.46, 1.47 !
I knew exactly the moment you are referring to when you say that Charlotte looking gorgeous without looking at the frame again. It's my opinion too when I first saw it. There's something about the softness of her up-do hair and the way it frames her face, her beautiful slender neck, this is a great womanly look for her. Much more goddess like than with her hair down. Hooray for male fans. commenting!
I haven't gone back to the time stamp, but I think I know the frame both of you are thinking of. When Xander comes upon their dancing lessons. After she says she will be at the Garden Party as well, he says "Then my dread of the occasion is somewhat lessened." Her look back at him, so soft, with her hair up, framed by the light from the windows, and wearing her signature teal -- exquisite. ❤️ And I see that look as wonder at his bravery in saying something like that to her -- a sweet compliment, and an opening up, almost an intimacy, letting her know how glad he is that she'll be there. I see that scene as so pivotal in so many ways ❤️
Thank you, Stephen ❤️ And I've been meaning to say thank you also for coming here and continuing to comment, surrounded by women! I love your intelligent perspective and look forward to what you have to say. I firmly believe that Sanditon speaks to both men and women, and that lots of men come to watch these scenes and videos, but they aren't quite as brave as you are to speak up. So thank you -- and I don't have an Oscar acceptance speech ready, but I'll work on it! 🥰
Stephen, I also appreciate your presence here. Your positive comments are so warm and encouraging. Every song Susan has used is also new to me, and each is so poignant and beautiful. It makes me wonder what other beauty might be out there that I have not let into my life.
Wow! I love the editing. When it says, "Tell your heart to beat again" and you show Alexander. Love the timing! There is so much potential for this couple as they help each other grow and heal. I love all your videos! They keep me going in this long wait. ❤
I love this Danny Gokey song… it has such lovely words and a perfect message…It is a good underscoring for Charlotte’s continuing story…❤️ Well done !💕🌷🥰
OMG Danny Gokey? Were you a fan of Laine Hardy? He got arrested for planting a listening device in his girlfriend’s dorm room!!! What love does to people!
I’m crying! That was wonderful!. The scenes, the expressions, the music….I’m not sure how you do it but it all comes together so beautifully. Thank you! 💕💖❤️🌹
I cry frequently and often watching Susan's masterpieces...not ambarest to admit It. Good cry is healthy. Susan, thank you, nit sure if editing is your profession or hobby...but you are genius in sequencing/ timing/music. I know you have limited material to work with, but every time you put a clip out, it is fresh, standalone, and aspiring...keep it going for those of us who can't draw a straight line with a ruler, in the creativity category 😄😅🤗
Charlotte deserves to hear the words "I LOVE YOU, MY DEAR CHARLOTTE! " from a man finally. But not from a man, from Alexander only. And not once but thousand times!
Celine, that means SO much coming from you! I've watched your video Too Far Gone many times -- just brilliant the way you put the video, music and dialogue together ❤️ Gives me chills every time. I'm so grateful to have found this inclusive and supportive fandom with so many incredibly talented video makers. Thank you ❤️
Hello Susan I guess you already know I do videos for Charlotte and Sidney as well as you and just wanted you to know that your videos are so heartwarming that they make me cry. I am a faithful C&S person but by watching your videos I can see what Charlotte is going through without him and is moving on with Alexander. You bring so much life to the both of them and I admire that in your work so well done to you and your channel. Thank you for your videos they are wonderful.😀😃😄🤣😂
Thank you so much, Annie! That means so much coming from another talented video maker in this incredibly creative Sanditon fandom ❤️ I really am in awe of all of you 🥰 I so appreciate you coming here to say that.
Thank you Susan!!! I can finally have new images in my mind when I hear this song instead of that "other show" that ended in pure disaster. For over a year I had to change the station or cut off the radio when this song came on. Now I can have hope and believe in a beautiful love story again ❤.
Same for me ❤ I needed to reimagine this song with a TRUE love story. I'm glad it's helped you too. In a way, we had to learn to tell our hearts to beat again ❤
@@susanfirth9883 Never mind. I see comments farther down where you confirm. Yes, PLEASE let’s have the Sanditon writers be nicer to us. That decision on WCTH was trash and not what the majority wanted. Nathan was better. I liked him as Mitch on Heartland first so I already had bias. 😜
@susan firth Do you know the reason for the delay in showing season 3? Everything I've read says the season is already filmed. Why isnt being shown now,?
This song is kind of bittersweet to me, because I believe you once made a Nathan/Elizabeth /Jack video where the story of the video was for Elizabeth to find love again after Jack. Not to always bring up when calls the heart on this forum, but it just hurts my heart. I've seen some Mei/Nathan scenes and videos, and it's really not the same. I feel like they are sort of forcing the romance and the chemistry between Lucas and Elizabeth and forcing romance between Mei and Nathan. Nathan and Elizabeth was a beautiful road not taken. :( BUT! Beautiful video, you really ALWAYS do a great job of these!
If it helps, my comment was that I can finally listen to this song again. The past year I would always have the other show get in my head. Now I will be able to think of Alexander and Charlotte ❤.
It's really a lesson to people who create stories that fans connect with so completely. You hold people's hearts in your hands, and you need to treat them gently. WCTH trampled on our hearts and we carried the trauma of that with us for the last year. Sanditon has finally healed me and I'm so grateful to be feeling creative again. I've reimagined almost every song I ever used for Nathan and Elizabeth, because they are some of my favorite songs and I refuse to give up more of the things I love for that terrible show. So, onward and upward! There is so much to enjoy, most especially this beautiful love story between Alexander and Charlotte ❤
Hear me out...Do you think it’s possible that Xander has never known real love before Charlotte? Maybe he and Lucy were a marriage of convenience or a family arrangement or maybe just immature puppy love? It just seems like if he and Lucy had truly deeply loved each other, they would have found a way to work through their personal lifestyle preferences and stay together. Obviously he’s been emotionally shut down feeling nothing but guilt for years but maybe Charlotte is giving him these true feelings for the first time which would explain partly why he just does not seem to be able to handle them on top of everything else...
Rachel, I love all the ideas you pose. He certainly would have matured over the nine years since his marriage to Lucy, and the possibility that he's experiencing feelings deeper than he's ever had before makes for a richer story.
I couldn't agree more. I don't believe he and Lucy were a love match -- if anything, it was young infatuation, because they simply didn't know each other very well. The city/country debate with couples has been going on for centuries, and still goes on today. But you would hope if one member of a couple would rather raise cows in Vermont, and the other spend their time watching Broadway shows in the nightlife of New York -- that they would know if before making a life-long commitment. So, yes, I do believe that this love for Charlotte is completely new to Xander. And I think it's set him absolutely off his feet. He has no idea how to navigate these feelings because he's never had them before. He needs time to find his way. And when S3 starts, I think we will see him fight for what he knows is extraordinary. ❤️
@@maryossi8524 I think so too. It’s like Charlotte’s love for Sidney contrasted with her love for Xander. The second is obviously the deep, lasting, compatible, life-sharing love. Also another point is supposedly Xander left Lucy behind in London because he didn’t not want to be in society. And yet when Charlotte suggests he attend a public function, he comes walking through the door.
@@susanfirth9883 So well expressed, Susan! He is all befuddled which is why he keeps kissing her out of the blue...practically knocking her over the second time. 😂 Those waves of feeling keep washing over him and he finds himself being caught up in them time after time...which honestly is very unnerving for him I think. So I bet that partially would also explain why he sent her away. He has already been swept away two days in a row and if she stays on you KNOW that is going to keep happening. And she, just like Jane Eyre did, runs away from the man she loves because she believes there is now no future for them. Sigh.
@Rachel Smith I love how you put that. He's so befuddled he just keeps KISSING her! 😂 And he did almost knock her over! Well, all I have to say is, befuddle ON Xander... we're happy to go on that journey with you! ❤️
Carol, you may know this already but in the show the kiss on the couch is their first one. The one under the tree happens the next day. I personally can’t decide which one I like best. My favorite couple of all times!!
😂 😂 You're among friends. Nothing wrong with you. I figure by March of next year I'll be able to recite Charlotte and Xander's scenes from all of S2 by memory. ❤️
@@susanfirth9883 And I will be right there with you! Haha! I don’t know why this show has gotten under my skin so much! I don’t generally obsess over characters like this! It must just be that perfect cocktail of perfect actors and the perfect chemistry. Also, unlike other Austen stories, the fact that we don’t know EXACTLY what the writers have written and how everything is going to go down. 😬😬😬
@@susanfirth9883 And random off-topic question...given we have so many mutual series/movies that we love in common, have you seen: 1. Emma (2009 version with Romola Garai and Johnny Lee Milller) 2. Sense and Sensibility (the 2008 Hattie Morahan version) 3. Doctor Thorne (excuse the stupid head flowers) 4. All Creatures Great and Small (PBS - Amazing in EVERY way) 5. The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (Netflix)
1. LOVE Jonny Lee Miller's Knightley!! ❤️ 2. The Hattie Morahan version is absolutely the best S&S (just was having this discussion recently) 3. Haven't watched, but it's on my list. 4. Watching now!! I've saved all these for the hiatus so I can survive without Xander and Charlotte ❤️ 5. Guernsey is in my TOP 5 movies of all time. I can't count how many times I've watched it. So yes, we've seen a lot of the same things! ❤️ ❤️
@@susanfirth9883 Yes! He’s such a good Knightley! Their verbal sparring scenes are so funny! I totally agree about S&S! I grew up on the Emma Thompson version but the newer one is so much better! I’m shocked how many Jane-ites haven’t seen it! I can’t say Doctor Thorne is quite as all-around fantastic as the others on this list but it’s good and not well known at all. Harry Richardson and Tom Hollander are great. I cannot love All Creatures more. It’s the only series I pre-order sight unseen. 😂 I’ve watched Guernsey so many times too! I wish you could buy it on DVD. Obviously I didn’t add North and South to this list because I already know you love that one. How do you think Richard Armitage would do as Rochester? 😏 Any other good period pieces that you really like?
Lots of time between now and March -- they're probably pacing us ❤️ It's funny, knowing how it feels to finish a video and being anxious to share it with all of you gives me perspective -- they're probably so proud of S3 that they're dying to give it to us and it may be just as hard for them to wait as it is for us!
We can hope that they will give us a steady drip of teasers until S3 airs in early 2023.... but can't be sure. What you can be sure of is as soon as there is something, I'll bring it here ❤️
@@susanfirth9883 Yes, Heybourne is endgame. But I mean , he's a man of integrity. The etiquette would require for Charlotte and Ralph to part amicably or their reputation would be of low character. I don't see Charlotte jilt Ralph either.
I agree, and that's why my dream scenario is that while Charlotte has been away, Ralph has fallen in love with one of her younger sisters -- but this marriage has been arranged, and he's as honorable as Charlotte is. It could all come out in one very relieved conversation between the two of them, and no one gets jilted. ❤️
@@susanfirth9883 Like BLH said , you gotta murder Ralph, but well, joke aside, this has to be done right. I hope they are not gonna spend 4 episodes out of 6 to get this resolved.I want more romantic scenes of Charlotte and AC.❤💜I am sure he will redeem himself with bts good deeds towards Georgiana , Tom or her father that she will learn about or learn the truth from Mrs Wheatley that all he wanted was to protect her out of love.🤞
@susanfirth9883 Why do 'they' keep re-making Jane Austen novels? Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle are the consummate Darcy and Elizabeth; Jeremy Northam and Gwyneth Paltrow, Ditto, as Mr. Knightly and Emma; Emma Thompson's Elinor Dashwood and additional cast--Ditto. The only re-make I liked better was Persuasion with Sally Hawkins and Rupert Penry-Jones. I think Mansfield Park is the least appealing Austen book, and there are several versions of it on film. I end with this: I think Sanditon is perfect as it is with a couple of caveats--it should NEVER be remade, the cast of all three seasons is superb, and there is no one who can play Charlotte and Xander anywhere near as well as Rose Williams and Ben Lloyd-Hughes did, BUT the ending was rushed. We should have seen their courtship and the wedding preparation; Charlotte's family should have been at the wedding, especially Allison and Declan; Esther, Lord Babington and their toddler son (okay, I know he's Edward's child and think of the possibilities there!) should have been there too. We should have found out who Lady Lydia gave her heart to--so many unanswered questions. We, the loving and earnest viewers, need a fourth season, OR if that's not possible, at least a movie to end our wondering about so many things. It was done with Downton Abbey.
Whew the hope you see in his eyes there at the end when he sees her again.
Excellent. Oh season 3, please be still my heart! Give us a good happy ever after! I hope so! For Charlotte sake as well as Alexander’s! Beautiful video Susan! Bravo! 👍👍❤️❤️

I loved this series.
Thank you Ms Susan...that is so nicely done...keep them coming.😊
Susan, Thank you. This could not be more perfect.
Another beautiful production Susan! 😍
OMG! This is such a beautiful song and video. You got me crying so hard. I want S3 to hurry up and get here. Thank you, Susan. ❤️😭
Absolutely sublime! ❤️🥰 Another great video Susan!👌🏻
Beautiful song with lovely clips.
Charlotte deserves to hear the words "I LOVE YOU, MY DEAR CHARLOTTE! " from a man finally. But not from a man, from Alexander only. And not once but thousand times!
Ohhh my!! Beautiful video. Well done. Thank you ❤️❤️😍😍🥰🥰😘😘
By far the best compilation of the Charlotte/Alexander story I have seen - congrats!
Absolutely beautiful!! Thank you Susan.
Lovely clip... it is really showing their pain and journey too healing. Thanks
This clip is just perfect. I mean perfect. And the song you chose..
Heart-touching tribute!!! 🥺💯❤
Beautiful.. Thank you
Perfect song!! ☺️
You have picked the must beautiful songs that work I love all the songs never heard them before but they are ridgt
Another gorgeous video Susan ! You always find the perfect songs for them, very emotional and pretty :)
@@susanfirth9883 Thank you so much and I hope you don't mind if I use some of your songs because I love them very much.
Not at all... in fact, there are only so many songs, and we all have a unique take on them, so feel free! ❤️
thank you
@@susanfirth9883 thanks
Thank you Susan!!! I can finally have new images in my mind when I hear this song instead of that "other show" that ended in pure disaster. For over a year I had to change the station or cut off the radio when this song came on. Now I can have hope and believe in a beautiful love story again ❤.
Same for me ❤ I needed to reimagine this song with a TRUE love story. I'm glad it's helped you too. In a way, we had to learn to tell our hearts to beat again ❤
@@susanfirth9883 Do you happen to be talking about WCTH?
@@susanfirth9883 Never mind. I see comments farther down where you confirm. Yes, PLEASE let’s have the Sanditon writers be nicer to us. That decision on WCTH was trash and not what the majority wanted. Nathan was better. I liked him as Mitch on Heartland first so I already had bias. 😜
@susan firth
Do you know the reason for the delay in showing season 3? Everything I've read says the season is already filmed. Why isnt being shown now,?
Perfect...
This is perfection, Susan! ❤️
You are so sweet! I wish I had 10 more seasons to work with 😂 But no one seems to mind that I use the kisses every time 🥰❤️🥰
@@susanfirth9883 You will hear no complaints from me! 😂 I can’t wait until you are working with season 3 content! Whoo-hoo!
Ben & Rose should be nominated and deserves to win the MTV movie and TV BEST KISS award, 2022! Wouldn’t that be a riot!!!
@@TropicalPassionFruit Oh totally! I would sure vote for them!
Darn, they are already asking people to vote! I can’t seem to login to see who made the list.
Coloburne needs her so much and the children most certainly do need her. She needs them so much in her life .That's how I would end the story.
Saying goodbye is just a phase.... forgetting is nearly impossible....renewal helps to forgive.
BUT! Beautiful video, you really ALWAYS do a great job of these!
If it helps, my comment was that I can finally listen to this song again. The past year I would always have the other show get in my head. Now I will be able to think of Alexander and Charlotte ❤.
@@5mdavenport402 it helps 🙂
I like their second kiss much better--it was slow & tender.
No, first kiss is ALWAYS the best💋
Carol, you may know this already but in the show the kiss on the couch is their first one. The one under the tree happens the next day. I personally can’t decide which one I like best. My favorite couple of all times!!
❤️❤️❤️
💞💞💞
I just finished the series for the third time last night and I’m immediately in withdrawal again today! What is wrong with me???
😂 😂 You're among friends. Nothing wrong with you. I figure by March of next year I'll be able to recite Charlotte and Xander's scenes from all of S2 by memory. ❤️
@@susanfirth9883 And I will be right there with you! Haha! I don’t know why this show has gotten under my skin so much! I don’t generally obsess over characters like this! It must just be that perfect cocktail of perfect actors and the perfect chemistry. Also, unlike other Austen stories, the fact that we don’t know EXACTLY what the writers have written and how everything is going to go down. 😬😬😬
@@susanfirth9883 And random off-topic question...given we have so many mutual series/movies that we love in common, have you seen:
1. Emma (2009 version with Romola Garai and Johnny Lee Milller)
2. Sense and Sensibility (the 2008 Hattie Morahan version)
3. Doctor Thorne (excuse the stupid head flowers)
4. All Creatures Great and Small (PBS - Amazing in EVERY way)
5. The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (Netflix)
1. LOVE Jonny Lee Miller's Knightley!! ❤️
2. The Hattie Morahan version is absolutely the best S&S (just was having this discussion recently)
3. Haven't watched, but it's on my list.
4. Watching now!! I've saved all these for the hiatus so I can survive without Xander and Charlotte ❤️
I’ve watched Guernsey so many times too! I wish you could buy it on DVD.
Obviously I didn’t add North and South to this list because I already know you love that one. How do you think Richard Armitage would do as Rochester? 😏
Any other good period pieces that you really like?
Thanks Susan. Are they really not going to give us one more scene from season 3?😠
@@susanfirth9883 good point. Has it been announced that it will be in March?
Not specifically, but the prevailing wisdom among the Sanditon sleuths is that it will be March or April of 2023.
@@susanfirth9883 If it really has to be in 2023 then I really hope it will be then and not later in the year. Thanks again.
Our we going to see scenes from season 3 anyvtime soon?
We can hope that they will give us a steady drip of teasers until S3 airs in early 2023.... but can't be sure. What you can be sure of is as soon as there is something, I'll bring it here ❤️
@@susanfirth9883 can't wait. My dream is for Charlotte to marry Alexander & finally be happy.
How early in 2023 will we see Season 3?? Clips, clips. Please
Nn conosco la serie dove posso vederla ? Grazie.
Can anyone tell me why my red heart emoji turns out black?? ❤❣ So frustrating!
Try copying this one ❤️ If it still comes out black, it may be a setting on your phone. But no worries.... a heart is a heart! 🖤
How is he gonna go after an engaged woman?
Maybe she goes after him 🙄 It will all work out in the end ❤️
This is making me want season three even more! 🥹
