  • Testing the Mylee Pro Gel Nail Kit! In this video, I do an unboxing, first impression, and review of this at-home gel nail kit, plus I try it out for the first time to show you the process! This is my first time doing my own gel nails, but I'm really impressed...
    Nail Update #1: The gel polish lasted a full two weeks from the day I applied it, without chipping or peeling. They started to grow out, and before they grew out too much (leaving a gap), I removed the polish - which is super easy! I imagine they'd probably last the 21 days as suggested, but I didn't want the gap to get any bigger, so I removed it after two weeks. 🥰
    Nail Update #2: I've since worn the gel polish on my nails for a full three weeks from the first application, without it chipping or peeling. It does last for the 21 days as suggested - I just tend to remove it beforehand and redo it before they grow out too much! ☺️

    They look stunning! My top tip for doing the nails on your right (or dominant) hand is actually to do it first. If you're anything like me, you start to speed up towards the end because you feel like you've been doing it for ages and it means you're "rushing" when using your dominant hand and taking more time with the less used hand. But regardless you did such a fab job 🥰

      Thank you for watching - I'm glad you found it helpful! I can only advise from what I've used, and I personally love this kit. I've had this for 6 months, used it every 2-3 weeks, and I still have plenty of everything left! I've just ordered 6 new polish colours, and I'd definitely recommend Mylee. I haven't tried GelTouch, but I like the sound of it working with all types of polish.. you'll have to let me know what you decide in the end! ☺️

    • @RosieEvaMillard
      @RosieEvaMillard  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks so much for watching! I get a good 2 weeks out of them before I need to do them again, but they could last 3 weeks - I just like to change them before they grow out too much. They honestly turn out exactly like my usual salon nails!

  • @giselle657

    Does this weaken your nails? Do you have to file on top of your nail or do you buff?

    • @RosieEvaMillard
      @RosieEvaMillard  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't noticed a difference in my nails since using this, or when I've removed the gel - providing you do it correctly and don't pick it off! No you don't use a file on top of your nails, you use a buffing block. I use the Mylee buffer sanding block and it's ideal - it doesn't damage your natural nails at all! ☺️

    Mine peel off after few days. Do you think I need to do layers thinner?

    • @RosieEvaMillard
      @RosieEvaMillard  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ooh that shouldn't happen! I do a base layer, two layers of colour, and then a top coat (using a decent amount), and it lasts a good 2/3 weeks. Do you cap the ends of your nails with the top coat, and use the prep and polish at the beginning and end? I haven't experienced mine peeling at all. ☹️

      Hiya! Thanks for your question. I'm not a doctor or medical expert, so I honestly couldn't say for sure! I've read online that the FDA have said that these lamps are "low risk when used as directed by the label" and they have "not received any reports of burns or skin cancer attributed to these lamps".
      I've been having regular gel manicures (like every 3 weeks) for the last 7 years at salons, and now I obviously do them at home, but I've never had an issue. I hope this helps! 💗
