- Many have requested this type of video for years, and I apoligize. After my multiple Route 222 trips last summer, I knew for sure that I'd have enough footage. So, here it is! Over 20 miuntes of nothing but pure, straight-piped Jake Brake action from all sorts of trucks including Peterbilt, Kenworth, Freightliner, Western Star, and more! I hope you all enjoy this long-awaited special video! Thanks for watching!

I wish I lived near a town so I could hear the jake breaks 😂 Nothin beats livin way out here, but I can’t get enough of these things man. The only time we hear em is during harvest, so always looking forward to that for multiple reasons 😂

I used to live in the midwest and I would wake up to that aound every day, love that soind and the smell of diesels, especially on a cold winter day.

So for the record, Jake Brakes were invented by a man named... Cummins.
Mr Jacobs built them under license. What he did invent was the three-jaw drill chuck; when I was a kid, every Black & Decker drill had the Jacobs name on the chuck, same script logo as in your thumbnail.

How do you get them to honk and J brake? Do you have a big sign or do you radio them?
You can get a lot just by hanging out on hills. Other truckers I know, so they’ll do it when they see my camera
