My goodness! This performance was simply amazing, electrifying. How she sings not just with her voice, but also with her face. Pure emotion, gold... PERFECTION ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👑👑👑👑👑👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Amazingly gorgeous woman 100% head to feet. Her talent is so stellar I am sick of Taylor Swift Laura will waster her so bad. I agree no one else has the fire, passion Laura has for a woman singer never another is right GODDESS! Look at her eyes at 1:44 and her movements yeah her hands and listen to her voice badass and how she gets into the music too man!!!!! Her band so rocks that earth shattering voice that went 2 feet!!!!!!!!!!
Notice the great artists NEVER lip synch, like more and more artists do now a days. I bet you could feel electricity in the air when she sang, what great range - Laura you are missed but not forgotten.
There is another live version where she performs on an old show called "Solid Gold" where Dionne Warwick introduces her and she's definitely lipsynced it. This version is way to slow but I'm sure after awhile they get tired of singing the same version over and over so they change it up some.
@@guitarsrcool4922 All SOLID GOLD performances were always lip-synched, even when the artists preferred otherwise, like Laura did and purists like Stevie Nicks who turned down SG for that reason. American Bandstand had the same policy - note when Johnny Rotten threw a hissy fit over it. More because of the high costs to set up the studio acoustics so that live would translate well for the viewers consistently and to compensate for bad singers - think Katy Perry who still sounds like crapola even lipsyching and using the best in voice modulators.
There is almost something Judy Garland-like in this live performance. Such a difficult song- runs through tons of emotions, and ,like Judy, sometimes you think she won't make it through, but Laura does magnificently
written by michael bolton, I found someone, was sang 1st by Laura and then by Cher (for whom it charted a top ten and went gold). both ladies did an amazing job with this song!! love it!!
Cher's team funded a high dollar video for it. It was her comeback song. She did a great job, a totally different feel than Laura's. Michael Bolton didn't tell Cher that Laura did it. I think it would have been huge for Laura, too, if her team had a clue.
Cher's team knew how to promote her properly, unlike Laura's team. Not to say, that Cher herself always looked and dressed up in a very provocative way, thing, that Laura would have never done. In a show music business you have to stand for your interests, otherwise there will be no success.
Blendre I'm so glad we found each other! You wore the belt of torture lol I had used to watch her cinch that thing as she pushed and pushed that amazing voice higher and higher! Too bad we don't have that belt!
Blendre Of course I remember! You've heard how incredible that voice was, and it was so nice to see how happy Carlo was when she sustained some amazing runs. You need to take a pic of the belt for me!

I heard Laura was sick when she preformed this live. She sounds awesome even not feeling well.
There will never be another Laura Branigan! She nailed this song. In my opinion, better than Cher's version.

I remember the Thunder , and Thunder stops in front of Laura Branigan... and got Blown away by her Magic

This girl is one in a billion.
So heavenly amazing to see LB in this song. Her voice is marvelous as usually. And her beutiness is just....amazing

I never thought that there may be better version than Cher’s version. Both version are great 👏

Realmente espectacular!!! Pasion de Laura fue irremplazable.
Carson's show had some of her best performances ever
Excellent! Laura, your magical voice gives us extra-power.
This song sounds great for multi_-talented singer Ms Laura Branigan
Sounds so amazing live.
Remember how excited she used to get to preform live? To add the emotion...
RunAndPlay Branigan I certainly do!
Blendre I'm so glad we found each other! You wore the belt of torture lol I had used to watch her cinch that thing as she pushed and pushed that amazing voice higher and higher!
Too bad we don't have that belt!
I'm so glad we met too! Carlo had several belts and he actually gave me one, which I still have! Can't believe you remember!
Blendre Of course I remember! You've heard how incredible that voice was, and it was so nice to see how happy Carlo was when she sustained some amazing runs. You need to take a pic of the belt for me!
what a strong performence
😭😭😭😭
Song would be a hit in the near future but not what the audience at the time would think
So sweet and still fresh
Pure powerhouse
Laura sings this song with sooooo much passion.....far better than Cher.
Superb singer so sadly missed

Excellent Laura's Master-Piece really fantastic
1982 till now baby 2019 xx
Wonderful! :-)
Opera voice the música dont drown out laura s voice laura soars over music
The era of that funky little Sony wireless mic she’s using w the antenna dangling and it’s so short you have to grip it close to your mouth..
❤
who is the guitar player?
W.G. Walden, "Snuffy"
I like better the production of cher s version. This one is nice too
I agree that Cher's production is better, because it's more staccato. And, Laura wanted to go more emotive and dramatic.
Lauras voice is way better than Cher's. This dosen't mean that I don't like Cher's voice, cos I do
