It’s just a matter of what the driver does. The cars seem to have exactly the same performance. If one of the drivers take off first, the car wins the race. Whatever that car is.

Good drag race. Both cars have almost the same power to weight ratio. Its amazing that the 1/4 mile times of the fastest combustion engine cars mirror the 100 meter sprint times of the fastest humans - 9.6-10 secs is phenomenal. 10-11 sec is brilliant. And 11-12 sec is excellent.
You can literally see 2:51 the bmw having a roll start and I like how they conveniently crop out the Ref from the shot to hide it. Lmfao
The BMW leaped ahead in the second race that run doesn't count if the Gt's run didn't count. Cars are so close it comes down to the driver's great content.

BTW can I ask you something? I'm trying to find a used F90 M5 recently. But I noticed some people have short shift problems during launch control in M5s and end up not running well through the first three gears.
Rumors said that cars coming out after 2019 like M8 or X4m/X6M got better launch control.
Do you feel any difference of the launch control system in the M5 from M8? In the video it seems continually being fast without any problems.
@@jamisonz3365 yes this is true! Look for the 2019 model with the new software for the 8 spd ZF gearbox. The issue is fixed there.
The M5 didn't jump start in any of the races, I think. It was down to reaction time by the drivers. That's why in all the races the better reaction time won the race. Overall, I think that those cars are very closely matched. However, I feel like the GT63s is a little bit quicker. Great video!

Coming from a person who goes street racing heavily the m5 did jump not once but twice
However the GT 63s is way over priced and is not a derivative of the AMG GT but built upon the E63s. For value wise M5 wins.

The AMG is quicker. The guy reaction time is trash. Check the numbers.

Both cars are evenly matched. It's a matter of who react quicker. In the first 2 race, the BMW reacted quicker and won the race. While in the last 2 the AMG did

I'm a m5 fan but ill admit that the amg was slowly coming back and when it was leading it was slowly pulling on the m5. However your right. The m8 is more compatible to race the amg

So the AMG has a faster 0-60 and quarter mile, but the BMW has the faster 60 ft and 100-200km/h. Very interesting results and numbers. Then again, this particular AMG holds the record for fastest 4 door sedan around the Nurburgring and it did faster than the M5C in a whole 10 seconds. Nonetheless though still both very fantastic cars you can’t go wrong with any of them. And great video too 👍🏼

this is very well said and the GT is a league of its own. It is that good!
From what I see. It depends on the driver, one takes off first that wins. Nothing in it. The GT definitely handles better and I think looks better and sounds better so I’d go for that. Plus the interior is way nicer.
The GT is generally the nicer car, but is also very expensive.

In the first 2 races the BMW started a little before than the mercedes that did count for sure in my opinion

This "tests" perfectly serve needed of customers of such cars: they have a lot of money and no idea how to really drive such cars on a track but they can show up with straight line acceleration instead. Providing that they will find an adequate place to do so.
And now I will be flooded with experts opinions how difficult it is to race a car straight line and how important it is :)
The Mercedes Benz was cheated, the Beemer guy jump started twice if you're gonna penalise the Mercedes for jump-starting the last race... But I see that the fastest is whoever reacts quicker

On Nordschleife with 2 professional drivers, the GT63 was 13 seconds faster. This is not opinion, this is objectivity. You should of done roll race tho. M5 is a beast but I'm sure that the gt63s or the E63 amg could of both beaten it in a roll race tbh. Good race🔥

Why disqualify the merc in the 4th round for a jumpstart when the BMW did the exact same thing for the first two rounds ?
The difference is that the Merc went before the hands started falling down, where the BMW did have a better reaction time in the first 2 starts, but it still went after the hands started falling down. I hope this clarifies :)

Better drivers= better evaluation for what car is faster I have the gt63s and god knows how many m8,gtr,m5,e63 i smoked and yes my gt got downpipes and stage 2 tune but that only adds around 65hp and the cars that i hust mentioned well they’re all 650+hp

The M5 trapped higher speed at the 1/4 so keep that in mind too. If they keep going at autobahn speeds it'll be ahead in no time
