- Alec Benjamin simply refers to himself as a “narrator.” Inspired by Eminem, Paul Simon and Citizen Cope, the Phoenix-born, Los Angeles-based songwriter fashioned a cinematic, lo-fi sound that stirred up a buzz online right out of the gate, landing him a major label deal by the age of 18. The rising singer-songwriter recently just performed earlier this summer to his biggest audiences to date, opening as a special guest for popstar Camila Cabello in Atlantic City, NJ and Uncasville, CT. Now, the burgeoning live performer has announced a North American headline tour that goes on sale today at alecbenjamin.com/tour. Dates get underway November 8th in Dallas, TX and continue through December 8th in Phoenix, AZ. Benjamin came to BUILD to talk about the tour, his new single, "If We Have Each Other," and more.

I have social anxiety too and when he talked about him forcing himself to do stuff, I freaked out because I never heard someone having the same struggles as me. My therapist always tells me that it gets better after multiple times, but as he said, it kinda doesn't and I always thought that was my fault.
am i the only fucking person with a normal therapist that doesnt just say it gets better and tells me how to make it better-
