One GREAT way to Exercise with Your Dogs while you
ฝัง
- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 31 ต.ค. 2024
- In this episode, Cesar teaches Sophia, a new way to exercise without leaving the house! Using his kitchen as the location, Cesar teaches us how to exercise with our dog using food.
Tools needed for exercise:
Two Scents:
One for your dog to stay away
One for your dog to move forward
Gloves:
So your scent is not associated with the other scents
This exercise will help you connect to your dog through how a dog learns: nose, eyes, ears
This will also help you on your walks as you encounter many different scents along the way.
Keep it - Natural, Simple, and Profound.

Holy cow it worked!! My dog is so stubborn too. The first time he ate the food. The next few times he would sniff the food and move on, within 5 mins he was walking right past it!! I'm a proud mom 😍🥰🐕
Yay!! Good for you. Congrats
Awwww how awesome! Thanks for sharing your story. It's very encouraging!

That's awesome! Thanks for sharing.
Yay, so fun to read 😊 keep up the good work 😊
TH-cam Pack! Thank you for watching and let me know what you think of the exercise. What else would you like to learn?
Great video Cesar! Thanks a lot! What about exercises inside the house with the dog so that we both can train a little? 🥰
How do you train puppies like this around humans like toddlers and infant? Puppies are still exploring, in training, & get overly excited when they see people. How do you calm or set boundaries with them without using the ears/mouth? Thank you!
Hi Cesar, what if the dog run straight to the bow, smell and eat the food in the bow right away when it's not vinegar, what if the dog already has habit of picking food in the floor? Please do more video about fixing bad behaviors.
My dog gets very scared when any loud or sudden sounds happen around him especially thunder, and he will panic and run around the house frantic to get away from it, so an exercise on how to calm a dog who is scared by sudden loud sounds would be very helpful, thanks again
@@brandonlee1983 he made a video about calming dogs amidst new year with the fireworks, I think it's the same technique
Me and my lady have been watching Cesar’s advice for years now. We have the most loyal, happy, obedient, respectful pit bull that takes care of our chihuahua like it was his own! Dogs aren’t aggressive, humans make them aggressive!
😂👍Gin Gin 👌You have a Pitty and a Chihuahua too at home. WOW SUPER I have had a American Staffordshire Terrier Lady """. Now I have a Chihuahua at home too. Greetings ❤️❤️
Daniela Perez 😁😁 my chihuahua tells my Pittie what to do 😂
Sweeeeet. 😂
Hey ceaser! long time fan and student of your training, my wife and kids jokingly call me ceaser because i so regularly practice your teachings with our dogs lol i want to personally thank you for all of your past lessons and for continuing to help everyone with not only with human/k9 relationships but for teaching life skills and comittment to passion and love aswell, you truly are 1 of a kind and an exemplary human being, may god bless you and your family continually, stay safe and healthy 🙏
Very well said. Thank you, Cesar.

Brandon Wilcome me too !!! I can relate, my favorite notification is when it’s Cesar !
This comment deserves a like
Thank Brandon, so many of us feel the same. I have learnt so much from Cesar, and not just about dogs, but about confidence and calm assertiveness in dealing with humans.
Cesar, you are a very important person. And loved by many.
There are loads of copies but Cesar remains undisputed The Master - Dog whisperer of all times ! All others have a copy of his book in the back pocket . That is the way it is !
😂🤣👍truth
Just like we should be teaching our children discipline we should be teaching our pets discipline as well ! Discipline comes from love !!
This is very true! Love is the foundation of all things created! in order to achieve true happiness humans need to learn the importance of love! God most biggest quality is love! We draw close to him we comprehend the true meaning of love in return we reflect this love with our children, pets and everyone around us.
With our children and pets discipline with love builds a healthy structure!
I was thinking I need someone to do this on me.

I'm gonna need Cesar to train me to avoid the good food 😂 chips, cookies etc
😂
Lmaooooo you just want to hear him say good girl to you :)
@Terri Thigpen Yeah! Tsssst!!! (how to spell Cesar's sound? we should have an app sensitive to make his voice & that sound whenever the food beckons Lol!
Isn't that the truth?
When I were growing up I were raised on a small farm. All the healthy stuff.
Now it's cakes Cookies. Chips.
Sodas! All the good stuff!!! Have a blessed day 🙏

I like this, we usually would see Cesar correcting behavior problems. I’m glad to get a chance to see actual training
Ceasar millan is a game changer. I learned how to train my English mastiff while she was a pup and she's the most obedient sweetest thing. It's a joy being able to have a trained companion she's the best
How much does she weights? And how old is she? I was thinking about that breed so it would be great if You would like to tell me something about them. Like how much they eat. Do they need a lot of exercise or if they have a strong prey drive. Right now i have Old German Shepard so i can deal with that all I just want to know what should i expect before I get it.
@@dawidjlb2589 well I know females weigh less than the males but I haven't had her weighed in a while. But I can tell you she's 6 yrs old, I've had her since she was about 5, 6 weeks she was so tiny but they grow fast and soon into a bulky dog but if raised right they can be the most loyal and family oriented dog you can have. I do think you need to have experience in having big dogs but since you have a German shepherd then I'm sure you know about dogs. I think depends on the appetite of the dog but she doesn't eat alot but if she waste alot of energy just like anyone she'll eat vigorously. I say a big thing is get them trained for walks early on because if you dont then pulling on walks will happen and best thing is start training them at home cause your the boss there and also when going for walks I personally have problems with my dog on walks but not bad I remind myself then correct it n she stops pulling. But yeah man I wish much luck to you and if you decide to get one check out puppies so it can grow to know you and your family 👍
@@dawidjlb2589 just like other dogs.. Mine sleeps all day but alert also..
I get him out for walk 2 times a day and he's all fine.. In summers he doesn't like to got except when Sun is down... Nothing different than other dog..he snores and farts a lot sometimes 😂...I think mine is stubborn at times especially when he sees new dog around But when he's familiar he just don't give a shit😂.. I trained his behaviour from Ceaser's videos since he was a puppy..now he's around 2 years
I feel like the reason you are so successful with animals is because you are as excited about them as they are you. Not a lot of animal owners aren’t this passionate.
Great stuff!
I don't have a dog yet but I'm watching and learn from Cesar as much as possible to be able to have a dog that will be safe around our sheep, donkeys, chicken and cats...😊. Then we will get a dog.
Same here!! Its so fun to watch these dogs I can wait a little longer. It’s going to be worth it! ❤️
Get a working breed. Like a aussie. I hear they are best for large breeds of animals. Or if u want a protector like a cane corso. Or do what we all do and find one off the side of the road. I'm glad u are educating yourself PRIOR to making the commitment. Thank u on behalf of Cesar's pack 😉
I put this off for a while because I was not feeling super confident/afraid I might not be motivating enough for my dog to succeed. So when I first put the vinegar down he went right up to it and sniffed it before walking away, which worried me because he didn't completely avoid it. But I continued on, and later put some cheese down. It took quite a few redirections but finally he was able to forget about it and play with me instead. Will keep working on this, thanks Caesar! 💛
It's important to show confidence and trust in yourself and the dog. This is why animal/human relationships are so valuable and common here.
There's no freedom without discipline. Cesar Millan and knowledge and experience with dogs is what led my resolution in this statement.
Cesar has wonderful communication skills. He communicates great with the doggies and also with all of us. He can explain everything so well even though English is not his first language.
One of the best obedience vids I’ve seen. Thanks Cesar for breaking this down into crayons once again, simplifying canine communication!
I am so glad you are still with us Cesar...You have such a gift that all of us can benefit from ...including our dear companions. Thank you.
I've been into psychology for a long time. Dog psychology made me understand dogs so much more now. When I see fearful or aggressive dogs I get hit with more curiosity and compassion than frustration and anger.
Dear Cesar, be healthy, hope your family is safe.
I just adore Sophia. She is such a sweetheart.
I tried this with my almost 1 year old dog and he took 2 sips of the vinegar before deciding he wanted to stay away 😳😂 we're going to keep practicing!
LOL
Hahaha
Ha ha 😂
😅😅😅
My Golden Retriever went straight to the vinegar and knocked it on the ground.
I have never seen Cesar be so vocal in giving praise. It made me wonder is is for viewers to to appear less serious? You accomplished the desired result is all that mattered. I love the simplicity of your kitchen Cesar. Even in white, it has a homey feeling. I love Sophia too. What a girly dog , she is BEAUTIFUL!
I think he didn’t praise like this in the tv Shows because he shows the excitement of the owners for theirs dogs are not the best, in this video I watch that when you praise your dog you have to do it with the right energy, because Cesar praise her like every one of us but the dog respect his space, Sofia never jump on him, she jump in the same spot, Cesar looks excited but his energy is the correct one because Sofia responds to his energy and that’s why she is so well behaved around him
Caesar thank you for teaching us to be better humans. ♥️
Just tried this with my two 6 month old pups tonight. Happy to say they both passed the challenge!! Wow... I’m so happy I watched this video.
My dog licked the vinegar and went straight for the food. But I kept working on it and by the end he was avoiding the food bowl and happy to be praised and rewarded. Thank you, Cesar!
You saved me - we had a dog food aggressive and your methods and behaviour explanations made me not be mad at him way back !!
This is great! We need more videos like this :)
Thanks!
@@CesarMillanOfficial I am doing this with my dog, it's really helpful! Thanks for the help. My dog is aggressive towards others and things like this keep her occupied and calm. Thanks again for the help.
*This was an amazing, FUN, interesting and helpful tutorial of a great indoor game + training session!! For years (often during bad weather here in the Midwest, for example) I’ve been hiding little treats and then I let my dogs sniff them out. It’s been a life saver when we can’t go outside and it’s a much better alternative to the monotony and lack of nose use on the treadmill. I’m going to try this game next! Sophia is very cute and so trainable! You’re the reason I stared my own pitbull rescue back in 2009 and have been working with and adopting them ever since! WE LOVE YOU CESAR! Thanks for helping so many dogs and HUMANS!!* 💛🐾👏
This must be the most joyous video on TH-cam from that time right after lockdown! What a brilliant lesson!
Thanks again, Cesar. Every dog owner needs to play this game with their dog. Sophia is one of my favourites. She's a quick study and is always 'happy go lucky'.
This is wonderful - thank you again Cesar for being my absolute dog-guru. You have literally changed our lives with your wisdom and compassion. I hope you and your family are all well in these crazy times 🥰
Hey cesar! been watching you since dog whisperer and watched almost all of your episodes on youtube before getting my 3 month old pitbull! I'm so excited to use your techniques!
If you have cable, they are still airing The Dog Whisperer, been up rewatching almost every morning. Learn something new each time, which I love. 😊

I have alot of respect for Cezar Malon . I would watch his show every time it was on. Way back when his sons were little boys. He seems like a real sweet guy.
damn you butchered his name, and you're a Gonzalez, you're a disgrace to all latinos and I bet you don't even pronounce his name right.
Awesome my dog guru. I understand now why my dog smells the ground while we go for walks but yes self discipline is important for her. Thank you for the information
This is great! We’ve been practicing nose work ever since our puppy came home. At this point, she’s learning to leave the cat food alone, she never begs for our food, and waits for her food in her dish. She still gets distracted by smells on walks, so we are working on her with that, because as my service dog, she will need to learn to ignore those, even though she’ll smell them, of course. This is a great thing to have this during our time of quarantine.
I am amazed with how much of this wisdom can be applied to our actual life :O What a positive energy. It feels like a star I want to orbit around.
This was my favorite training video. You were able to show me when and how to show affection. Yesterday I heard you say, discipline creates structure. I got it! To me, discipline meant being mean. I was wrong. Keep bringing us your Whispering Wisdom.
Cesar is such a genius. Thank you for all u do Cesar! You are doing so much great work.
You are so the best dog trainer . Always been wanting for you to train my dog lucky for his behavior on his walks that he goes crazy when he sees other dogs in a walk etc. Thank you Cesar❤
9:39 Sophia is so precious and happy❤️❤️
My wife and I taught school for over 40 yrs. I wish you could do workshops for beginning teachers because your skills could transfer to humans as well; ...exercise, limitations (discipline), and affection (reward)”. Your methods would improve classroom environments for learning and increase teacher effectiveness greatly. Once discipline is established, knowledge and skills are easily transferred as like your “students”, children are eager to please and learn! Patience is certainly a necessary ingredient as well! You, sir are a terrific teacher! Many Apples on your desk!!!🍎🍎
Absolutely true that it transfers to children as well. It's the structure, order, and consistency that every living thing needs. Kids and animals are much more receptive than adults are but it works with adults too. Being calm, confident, and assertive is what works so well to communicate effectively.
I love your communication!! Great influence and advice!! Thank you much Cesar!
Sophia just melts my heart. LOVE her! Love u too Cesar. You r the absolute best!!!!
From the beginning I would tell our pup "no!" when she got close to whatever we dropped and she would sit and looks at it. Then, I quickly reward her. Now when something drops she seats and looks at me; I reward her with a treat. I usually don't allow her in the kitchen when cooking but I'm not the only one at home.
Cesar, We've just got an 8 month old puppy, Issy, from the dog's home who is obsessed with food. I watched the video and thought 'Yes, but Sophia is already very well trained'. However, I just did this exercise with Issy and she got it the first time!!!! I was even able to leave a little bowl of her food on the floor and l left the room. She didn't touch it. Brilliant! Thank you!
Absolutely address the nose, they have millions of receptors and it is the key to training 👍🏼👍🏼
Sleeping under the bridge for 2 months ,work hard ,and smart then successful 🐕🐶training business .
That success created your wealth.
BEAUTIFUL HOME🏡 AND YOUR DOG CENTER..
CONGRATULATIONS CESAR .💪👍YOU DESERVE IT.🏅
BRAVO.
His excitement had me so happy and excited like Sophia!!!
OMG I just did this with my dog Lacey (5 year old Aussie Shepherd/Lab mix) and she learned to leave the food alone immediately. I only had to correct her one time, the first time she saw a piece of chicken in the dish on the floor. She immediately backed away from it and stayed the course. I really tested her, too, putting her toy right next to a treat dish and she looked at me, looked a the treat, but just picked up her toy and came to me. Highly recommend doing this with your dog following Cesar’s directions.
Sophia has such a beautiful energy! She is like my standard poodle happy go lucky Amy. We have training sessions with Marisa in Austria and this training helps us so much with this wonderful dog. ( Marisa worked with Cesar) 💖🐾🐾🐩
Hello Cesar, You are a wonderful person !
My name is Ella, I'm a big fun of your work from Romania .
Last week I got an Airdale Terrier, 2 months puppi named Symba .
He is full of joy, loving and playfull as well.
I've started the disciplin training with him and he already learnd to come when I call his name, to sit and to give his paw.
All of these because of you !
I've been watching and learning from each of your tv shows on Animal Planet, Nat Geo Wild Life and TH-cam.
Thank You for the dedicated work and love for animals.
This is a great point, after teaching us dog psychology... to show us how to train a dog step by step 👍... love you so much for teaching us, I learned so much...

Felicitaciones César. Eres único. DIOS TE BENDIGA
Thank you for all your amazing videos especially during this pandemic. I've always looked up to you and strive everyday to have the kind of patience you have. Will be practicing this exercise, my pups definitely need work on their scent control. Sophia is such a happy girl!
Many thanks and much gratitude that you are back in the saddle again!!! Wonderful!! I can't get enough of you Cesar!!!
This exercise is so important, once someone said me that in this way you evoid your dog eat poissoned food from bad people.
Couldn’t have come at a better time! This is exactly what my dog needs. Just that extra boost on ignoring certain scents so we can have even better walks then what we do now.
I do indoor exercises with my dog every day. These are mind excercises, I have to step it up. 😊
You are an amazing teacher.
Easy to understand.
So in tune.
What I liked about this video was seeing how much you love your dog.
Thanks for showing me how to protect my dog.
You always come through and add a smile to my day. It's my dream to work with you one day brother.
This video changed my dog, who is a miniature schnauzer. After watching Dog whisper and saw how Cesar trains Angel, I decided to let my dog find his food and treat in the yard. In no time my dog uses her nose more in her walk (rather than her ears and eyes which led to sound and sight sensitivity and anxiety and nervousness). Thanks so much Cesar!
What a great game to play and teach. Sophia is so smart and well behaved.
I cant wait to try this. I have a dog whose allergic to beef. Teaching her to not eat food on the floor or on walks will help a lot. We live near fast food places so they tend to drop scraps that she finds.
Hi Cesar, this was excellent teachings for us humans,. Would like to see more on teaching of dealing with an anxious dog ways to best help them through these moments. Keep up the excellent work you and the family be safe.
Hey Cesar! I have an 11 month old PitBull/Bull Terrier and we tried this excersice with vinigar, a meatball, and a piece of cheese. He went towards the vinigar and maybe just touched the nose to the bowl but was redirected easily with a little "tschh" and then it was like the vinigar was never there. We then tried the meatball. Again he went towards it but was redirected easily. And then we tried the meatball and the cheese at the same time. It was as if there was no bowls at all. He completely ignored them. Loved trying this challenge out! Thank you Cesar!
Amazing content Cesar! This is the sort of content I LOVE to get from you. ❤️ Actually, this is kinda exactly what I and my very strong nosed lagotto / Cocker spaniel mix Buddha needs. His nose really does control him a lot and I've been wondering how to reshape his brain on scent and now you post this. Thank you so much for still educating us. 🙌🏼

HI CESAR, IM SO GLAD YOUR MAKING VIDEOS. I LOOK FOR THEM ALL THE TIME. I LOVE YOUR TEACHINGS IN MY OWN LIFE TOO, NOT JUST THE DOGS.
My dog is really discerning about the quality of meat and his preferences with food. He would ace this game ✨ I put little pieces of raw carrot into his food when he was a puppy, he picked out every single bit and placed it around his bowl. Politely indicating he did not like it. I took a picture because it stunned me and made me laugh so much. He still doesn't like carrots now.
Oh my.. While watching this I am giggling of excitement and happiness too. I'm so proud of Sofia and Cesar. They inspire me to work harder and smarter to train my dogs as well 💖😍 thank you very much Cesar 🙏☺️
This was so great, thank you so much! We decided with our quarantine time to train our next round of German Shepherd puppies 😍 we have watched and used your techniques for years and have nothing but good things to say about your approach! With your method of firm but fair and kind leadership we have had nothing but generations of calm, loving, intelligent Shepherds and Malinois that are a joy to train, fun to show off in public, SAFE around strangers, family safe, small animal safe, livestock safe, public access safe, and yet still made exceptional personal protection and home/land guard dogs. We own land up north (to escape the harsh Arizona summers) and ride through wild country with large game. We need these huge dogs to know their job and find passion in it because our lives oftentimes depend on it. I have learned from your method that a dog you continuously train actually can somehow increase their IQ/intelligence. I have learned from your method the surprising fact that large highly TRAINED dogs actually intimidate people more than dogs who don't respect their leadership. Our family can't say enough good things about you, we love you, thank you for the years of training people like us. Love, the Stewarts 💕 God bless
