Gonna drag down the mood here. How old do you guys reckon Tanjiro and Kanao were when they got married? We know three things: 1. Tanjiro and Kanao at one point got married and had a son at the very least 2. As of at least 3-15 months after Muzan was defeated, Tanjiro hadn’t become official with Kanao; Nezuko visited her more often and it seems like Tanjiro only saw her very rarely for regular checkups, which even then feels off since Tanjiro would probably want to pay back the debt of her being the one who changed him back into a human. 3. As a bearer of the Slayer mark, Tanjiro was destined to pass away before age 25. Which means he had no more than 9 years after killing Muzan to get his family started with Kanao, or 7-8 at most by the time the first Extra came around.
@@sampathhewapathirana8685 something else I thought of. So technically yes, Tanjiro may live past 25 but it’s not in spite of the DS mark. I just remembered he did die during the fight against Kibutsuji. But then Kibutsuji transferred what remained of his essence into the now-defenseless Tanjiro, and in doing so he healed some of Tanjiro’s damage, at the very least restoring some bodily function, then a bit more when he attacked Nezuko before he was given the cure by Kanao. So even though Tanjiro will never have the same amount of energy he did before the Infinity Castle Arc, Tanjiro already died thanks in part to the stress that the mark put on his body, and Muzan inadvertently hit the reset button by possessing him and letting his body recover some strength. So in this new lease on life he will never be using the mark so what he has left is what he has.

@@giantrobby5050 Tanjiro is shown to have the mark way before the entertainment district arc precisely during the fight against rui when he had a flashback of him seeing his father performed Hinokami kagura and he was around 4 or 5 at the time since the other siblings doesn't born yet. So, him able to live past 25 years of age is possible even though he had long battle against muzan. And for the marriage of tanjiro and kanao we could assume when he was around 17 or 18 which was plausible knowing the time they lived.
