Local Government Election in Rivers State: RSIEC Schedules For October 5th

The Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission has announced that Local Government elections would hold on the 5th of October this year.
The Commission released the timetable for the polls as the dispute over the tenure of former council chairmen remains a subject of debate.

We hope peace will start to return to Rivers state after the scheduled local government election. We hope no lover of peace in Rivers state will go to court to stop the October 2024 LG election.
This is another opportunity for Wike's men in (PDP/APC) parties and his ex-local govt chairmen to test their popularity on the ballot and regain their seats back to power instead of seeking elongation after 3 years of service.
We hope rivers people are preparing for the election to bring back peace to the state.
