- In this English lesson I will help you learn English words and phrases associated with the military. I will of course be talking about more than just armies, navies, and air forces. I will also be teaching you about war, peace, and many other things related to the military.
In this English lesson I'll go over things like military bases, peace talks, ceasefire agreements and more!
During the English lesson you can ask questions using a Google form. The link will be posted here and in the chat.

In Thailand we have both drafting amd applying for military but applying take much shorter time and get the military rank and salary. After leaving the army still have that rank for the honor.

In Portugal isn't mandatory to serve the army. But when the teenagers make 18 years old, men and women, are obliged to pass one day in the army to know how it works.
For the women this law is recently, maybe from 10 years ago.

Yes, sorry about the time. We have switched to Daylight Savings Time in Canada, so even though I did the live stream at the same time, it would have been different for some!

Today is a sad day in Spain. Schools are closed ‘sine die’ (they say 15 days but I don’t use to believe politicians...). All the country, the same as Italy since 2 weeks, and it seems to spread around the globe with the excuse of covid19. We have lost our liberty to move, we can’t work and the economy could collapse ... in the past that was the beginning of military dictature ... so I think the topic isn’t funny at all. I’m sorry.
I guess, this lesson wasn't meant to be funny anyway.
