After watching the new house of ga'a,I decided to come check the original clip out,let's see the one people will go for....BASHORUN GAA or HOUSE OF GAA?
You can't compare works of art. You have to appreciate them on their own merit. The entire cast and crew will play their various roles according to their own interpretation and expertise. Each production is unique and stands on its own.
Whether the focus was on House of Gaa was on Gaa's household or not, it still comes no where close in historical accuracy and cultural richness as Basorun Gaa. One of the challenges I have with modern day historical movies is the introduction of too many embellishments that eventually water down the original story. The same thing happened with Ayinla. It's Basorun Gaa for me!
If I tell you guys since years have been looking for this film to rewatch again I’m so glad I can watch this on 2023 one more time to understand the clips 🎉❤

this is bashorun gaa while the new one is house of gaa! read meaning into the titles u will understand it better. house of gaa is only taliking about his home! how his family where executed,the day to day nature of things in his house,how he lost his elder brother and how that caused him to have bad mind towards any nominated Alaafin,also telling u that gaa is a woman wrapper and he is not ashamed to collect people's wives. Bashorun gaa is just about him generally.
I prefer this old one,we discussed it with my children yesterday,I narrated this old one to them, they loved and told me they will search for it on TH-cam that's why I searched for it .

The house of gaa is a copy of this beautiful craft right here because it's funny to me how some of you are trying to twist it by saying " house of gaa" solely focuses on gaa's home which is a lie cause it also tell the story of how he enthroned 5 kings and then deposed 4 of them during his time as bashorun . The sequel isn't traditionally rich as this one right here, but kudos and a big shout out to every actors and actresses in the sequel.... they all did their thing. Much love

While this movie focused on Bashorun Ga'a, HoG focused on "Ile Ga'a", while it explore artistic modifications to a few things about the legend of Ga'a. Both movies are great productions in their own accord.

Even after watching house fo gaa I wasn’t satisfied enough coz I know I do watch one gaa but I forgot the title but I know TH-cam got me covered like I think this is the real gaa the part I remember most is that part where the Alaafin was dressed as a woman to see the aremo and I could remember vividly that gbagi wasn’t killed he even turned back against gaa

Afonja will again amplify the need for YORUBA's to be mindful of Hausa/Fulanis.. they won't approve its release...
