    I can tell Fabi held back and made more moves then was necessary. It could have been much more devastating with the two pawns being pushed like that cause the white bishop was actually trapped but he didn't push them. It was interesting to see how he used them to open him up instead of pushing the pawns and taking pieces.

    One thing j learn which was a big help is when you lose pawns around your Kong replace them with pieces if you can survive the attack usually you win.

    3:19 - why fabi didn't played Q. f2 ?

  • @naldebol
    @naldebol ปีที่แล้ว

    You asked what was the line that white could have used to keep an advantage?? After the captures in the center it all evens out and it is completely equal.
    There is no advantage. This is a very solid and reliable line as black to counter English 1.c4 2.Nc3, even Anand used Bb4 for along time as black.

    "what are you doing?"
    "reverse Grand Prix, my dude."
    It's funny that many English players aren't familiar with this attacking plan, but it's super strong.

    • @ChristianHegele
      @ChristianHegele ปีที่แล้ว

      Technically it's not the Grand Prix move order, but it has all the hallmarks of Grand Prix attacking plan (trade bishop for knight to discoordinate White's queenside, execute f7-f5-f4, play Qe8 to use the diagonal to infiltrate the g or h file.)

    Seeing someone moving that calm and slow with 2 minutes on clock means 2 thing only. Either it is his first time, or he is top GM.
