“Chassis Up” built MT8 using all the mods discussed and tested within the Rival MT8 Owners Group on Facebook. This car is about as Extreme Bash (EXB) as we can currently achieve. Any questions just ask!
I’ve got 3 MT8s - This ones about as powerful/heavy as you’d ever want it to be for bashing use. The MK2 on my videos is the best balance and uses stock electrics and is super reliable and can be heavily bashed. Excellent truck. A real favourite. 🤩
Would you be able to recommend a heatsink and fan for the stock motor. I no there would be alot if info on Facebook but I'm not on there. One last things (columbo voice) what hinge pins you using as an upgrade please.
Personally I don’t bother with heat sinks. I use a plastic Castle blower affixed with cable ties. I find the metal heat sinks pop off when stunting heavily and they add extra weight to the floating motor. 👍 Hinge pins are on EBay look for “JP Bashed MT8 hinge pins” 👀
Nice video, car looks dialled in brother. Ripping round really well on that gravel surface. Super fast and super stable, nice build. Fully agree about the servo. I also think if you fit the treal servo saver mod out the box the stock servo is more than up for the job. You forgot to mention your aluminium hubs and carriers and hub extenders and updated turnbuckles too ha ha. After using 3 x different arms I would actually agree the EXT ones seem to suit the car best. Love RPM but they are so heavy and make the car sag loads 😉 Rocket motor looking good too
No hub extenders on this. Kept it narrow for handling. I might put stock MT8 tires back on. It feels like a truggy with these badlands. I wanted it to be the best MT I could build not a truggy!
@@JPBashed Annoyed that lower screw fell out. I’ve lost a few of those previously too. This seems to be an issue with the aluminium front hubs mainly because you can’t use much threadlock otherwise you lock the hat bushes up with any spillage.
@@SnoriRC Yep had the same issues and as you know with mine was unable to tighten up sufficiently so I put lock tight on one side and super glue on the other screws to see which worked. Both did and screws are still in. Shame I cracked the the one hub carrier the other day when i wiped out. Now I’m going to have the same issues when fitting the new spare set I have! 🤦♂️
Awesome run on it , been wanting one for ages now .... has yours been holding up strong ?

@@SnoriRC ha ha love it. Well it was flying round nicely and it’s a great example of an MT8 EXB
