These songs are the ultimate proof that Mohammad Rafi is Mohammad Rafi .The greatest playback singer and one of the very best of all times if not the best. He was the ultimate singer from the 20th century. On record no one is even close to Rafi sahab.

Naushad , Shakil and Rafi trio made classical music popular in films by very sincere and hard work which paved the way for other composers who earlier were hesitating if it would succeed or not. Making a Film whose music is to be based purely on classical ragas like darbari,todi, bhairavi,malkhus,etc was a challenge for the producer of Baiju Bawara. And so it was met with" scepticism and lack of mass appeal,"as reported. But as time rolled on its music proved to be an all time success. Strangely enough, the film's music was directed by Naushad Saab, lyrics written by Shakeel Badayuni ji and most of the songs sung by Rafi saab; all muslims. Notice how this song is rendered in the divinely sweet voice of Rafi saab showing the true emotion along with displaying flawlessly all classical ornaments. It mustn't have been easy for Rafi saab,but he did it. Isn't this Rafi magic? And we have been enjoying and ennobling our lives listening to this type of immortal soulful songs.
