DIY Murphy Bed to Save Space

- We've been talking about installing a Murphy Bed for a while but we finally got around to getting it done. Jason gets some help from The Expert to put a Murphy Bed in our office so we can better utilize the space. Follow along as we build the bed itself and get it installed in a closet in the office. We'll be following up with some shelving, storage, and trim (the end result needs to look good, after all...) so make sure you subscribe and hit the bell so you get notifications when we post our videos.

I like the bed, great job, looks sturdy. Having trouble understanding why you replaced the closet with a bed, it’s no longer a bedroom if there is no closet. Just my $0.02 worth, that likely all it’s worth.
When they fast-forward created the bed, my brain started playing the King of the Hill theme song.

Great video..if I wanted to customise fir a large bed do I buy more pistons? Was really hoping for a super king size wallbed which is 71 x78 or 6ft x 6ft 6 but can only find largest size as US Queen😬
If you use the create-a-bed system I used here, I think you could modify for king size. I think the pistons would be fine, the tricky part would be modifying the plans to build the king sized box instead of the queen. Good luck! Let us know how you make out.

Sorry for the late response; just getting through some older comments now. The hardware kit does come with very detailed instructions should you decide to go ahead with this
