@History Talks: A place that might be of interest to you. In Karnataka, there is a town in Chikmagalur District, by name Kalasa. When my wife and I, who are ardent devotees of Agasthya Tande(father), we went there, I was surprised to hear that Agasthya Muni was born near that place, on the banks of river Bhadra. And when we went to the place indicated by locals, the place was called Vashishth Teertha. And there is a Ganapathi temple where Agasthya Muni supposedly performed Pooja. Well, honestly speaking the Indian subcontinent strongly follows worship of the same Gods with different names, Hindu was more of a reference to call us collectively. @@teslanker794 We agree totally with you, but if we were to bring information that refers to the collective category of people collated into one term called Hindu, isn't that a quicker (if not factual) way to refer people of similar cultural background? for example India is a collective term again given by the British due to the "Indus" river that formed our history.
